This is the best place on campus to study! It may be easy to miss as it is on the first floor of Dutton Hall and you may even pass by it every day without noticing! They are located in between the Student Accounting Center and the Aggie Card Office. They usually have a white board outside with workshops that are offered that day.
They have a computer space of 5 computers here and you can print up to 5 pages a day here for FREE! No where else on campus do they offer free printing! You know the struggle is real when you're a college student trying to print, but printing at any of the Computer IET labs cost 11cent a page. Unfortunately, I have to mention that the computers do not read USB drives, so make sure you've emailed it to yourself beforehand.
They also have a couch here with some desks where you can study on your own if you don't mind the noise. Immediately after you walk in on the left side, there is a QUIET study room with several tables. You can study there if you rather study quietly on your own or friends if you wish. They also have lots of outlet and power strips on the tables so you don't have to worry about fighting anymore for those outlets if you need to charge your laptop or phone.
This place also has their own little 'kitchen.' They have a minifridge that you can use to store your lunch if you will be on campus for a while, but make sure you grab the food before they close (at 4pm). Additionally, they have a microwave for you to heat up your food so you can avoid the long lines at the MU and Silo, there's usually no line here! There's a small dining table for people to study/eat if they choose. They even have a filtered water dispenser if you ever need a sip of water and don't want those odd tasting minerals from the Davis water. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to fill up your water bottle with their water, but there is a water fountain conveniently located at the other side of Dutton.
This is my favorite place to study as I can use their computers to work on homework or print. I also get to eat while I study, which is not allowed in the Computers IET labs. We need more of these services for Transfer/Reentry/Veteran students! read more
