P.E teachers were not on point, Forced my child to run even with a hurt ankle. Another incident Happened, When my child got pushed down, And She was requesting ice, Mr.E would not accept my child requesting ice, He responded with "You are banned from ice". Was not acceptable in my opinion. My child also came home telling myself of an incident that happened which appeared to be of, "Mr.E was touching my friend _____ and it was very weird". Very inappropriate matter. Miss.E was a very Sassy, inappropriate, And a liar. Explanation: She showed my kid Landray on a app called "Shien" As well as a teacher named as Miss.C. Miss.Myers was a pretty disrespectful lady as well with racism. Mrs.Pine Was very demanding along with ALOT of racism was long towards my child's friends. Was not appreciative. Mr.Moua Was a P.E teachers for The grades of 1-4th grade, I believe he needs to understand the grades of the children he was teachers we very young and he should be a little Non-Demanding. Thank you!

I am happy with the staff, and Mr. H is an awesome principal that levels the kids and never pulls punches or gas lights the kids. He is straight forward and respected because he also returns the same respect to the students and parents. All of the teachers, paraeducators, P.E. teachers, etc. truly care about the kids and are open to listening to not only the parents, but our children as well. I have loved every teacher my daughter has had and look forward to seeing her continue her education at Sol Aureus. GO Phoenix!

As parents, I think it's fair to say that part of the gig is wondering if you're getting it right…read more Like, constantly. One of the few things I'm certain of on this child-rearing journey is our decision to not only to attend Bergamo, but to stay beyond our initial expectations into the elementary years. We came to Bergamo through a neighbor. After multiple interactions with a young brother and sister that live on our street, I knocked on their door to ask their parent(s) what the secret was. My daughter was a toddler at the time and the conversation went something like this: "Hi. Your kids are AMAZING. What did you do?" Their dad thanked us but quickly passed any credit on to the Bergamo community. We were knocking on their door the following day. Now that I've met many Bergamo children, I know what it was we were looking for with that first knock. Children in this community are confident, aware, curious, generous, kind, thoughtful and, yes, smart. All the things that come with true belonging, which is what you get when you go to this school. (Is it just a school? It feels more like a family that learns and grows together.) Not only do teachers that are not my child's know her name, they know ours. The director (I could write a separate review about Laura alone) knows where my kid is excelling and where she needs extra help--and she is receiving it. When you walk into a Bergamo classroom, you'll notice a few things. First, the teachers are not standing in front of a classroom, they're on the sidelines waiting for the opportune time to engage a student or workgroup. Instead of a teacher-focused environment, you'll see students centered in an all teach, all learn approach. (One example: An older "reading buddy" comes from another class to work with my daughter, my daughter is allowed to visit a class below hers to help with things she loves that ultimately make her feel more confident and allows her to be contributor.) This approach doesn't mean the teachers are an afterthought, of course. My kid LOVES her teachers. I mean loooooves. Second, you'll notice order. The environment is beautiful, clean, warm, clutter-free and designed for the children that interact with it. The children are focused, respectful (to themselves, their peers, parents and teachers), and content. Last, you'll notice this other thing that takes a minute to articulate, at least it did for us. That thing, that sense of true community filled with children that are thriving, is what will make you stay and be grateful you found this special place. If you can swing it, it's the greatest gift you can give your child. I could go on (and on and on and on) about the things that make Bergamo unique and wonderful. I know what it feels like to be that parent searching, so please feel free to email me (mandymarie12@gmail.com) if you'd like to hear my extensive list, or ask any questions that will help with your own decision-making. Or just go knock! You'll be glad you did.

He is now thriving in high school, but I do wish that we had the experience we are having now with him when he was in elementary and middle school. My middle son is a transfer student to Brookfield and my youngest is starting out at the Preschool. About our experience: First, touring the school my husband and I were so impressed by the diversity, the ideology of the school, the atmosphere and the attentive nature of staff and teachers. Second, the fact that they have a preschool/elementary/middle school in one space is dream for us and the way that each grade level has their own space is also incredible. Finally, we were beyond thrilled that our children are not only learning the standard subjects, but they are also have Spanish, Music, P.E and computers almost everyday. This is above and beyond the majority of schools we have toured and researched. Why I highly recommend Brookfield to families: + Education + Testing prior to acceptance to ensure your child/family will be a good fit for the school and assurance that they will thrive at the appropriate grade level +Diversity + Child care before and after school included in tuition + Spanish, Music, Technology and Physical Education classes almost daily +Teachers and staff have a true interest in your child's best interest + Option to have extracurricular activities before and after school + Caters to children who are in preschool-8th grade + Great playground and outdoor seating + Vibrant student culture + Safe and secure + Excellent communication and online access for parents to teachers and administration The list goes on and on...I am thankful to Dr. Jo and all of the staff for creating such an amazing space. Our children are so happy when they get home and look forward to going back to school each day.

The community is unmatched- loving, thoughtful, supportive. A lot of family members don't understand the Waldorf method of teaching and make jokes, but my kids are both strong readers with curious minds about every subject. They offer Spanish, choir, strings, and band as part of their regular curriculum along with gardening, movement, etc. The students are taught in a way that offers a depth of understanding that other schools simply don't have the time to teach. Rather than doing a written project about catapults, for example, they actually build one. We love this school and community and are confident our kids will be very well prepared for what comes next.

His…read moreteacher, let's call her M, was condescending to my wife and I and tried to insinuate my son was on the spectrum when he had separation anxiety since he's never been to daycare or school before. (Mind you, she had only met him for a total of 3-4 hours and he's not on the spectrum, but even if he was she is not qualified to diagnose him). They did not give him snacks when he was hungry and when he was crying from missing his parents they left him outside with no supervision because he was "disturbing the class". A 3 YEAR OLD!!! Not to mention another kid threw a cement block and almost hit my son with it and the teachers didn't even clock it! I can't imagine how hurt kids can get with all the diy yard work. With one teacher and assistant (14:2) you would think they would be able to handle the children but they were overwhelmed and short with the kids who were behaving like typical preschool aged children. It's so sad these young kids are being talked down to in that way :( Letting the kids have accidents because the teachers can't handle taking them to the bathroom and then turning around and telling the parents accidents happen is so ridiculous! I can't speak for K-8 so maybe the teachers are better, but I would never trust M with a child let alone my own!! For how much the tuition is, go with a different preschool! I wouldn't wish our experience on anyone!
