Arriving at Ezeiza is not the smoothest of the experiences. Just like most international airports, it's far away from the city (35 KM to be exact) and the only public transportation option for you to use is a bus, and it takes forever.
Knowing that, and after reading a tip on Yelp I learned that I should get quotes from the folks in the little hall in between the baggage claiming/customs and the exit.
Right when you leave there will be about 5 different stalls with people screaming "shuttle, taxi, transportation to the city" in both Spanish and English. It looks super sketchy but it isn't. Those options are "mostly" cheaper than the ones outside on arrivals and very safe.
I choose Transfer Express and unfortunately they only take cash (pesos and dollars) payment. I could exchange some of my reais and come back inside, which was great.
The quote was quite high. I paid 450 pesos to a trip to Palermo which is 100 pesos more than a regular cab and about 50 pesos more than my friends paid.
However my driver was really nice and friendly, he helped me call the hotel where I was staying and waited with me downstairs until they opened the door.
The company also provides transportation services to/from Aeroparque (the other airport that is closer to the city, and other cities in Argentina.
You can choose from a range of car models and services, and I bet you can also request a bilingual driver.
