The staff and the venue of Sat Nam were fabulous. I felt so welcomed and cared for. Temperature taking, hand sanitizer, and masks required, and appreciated! The building is gorgeous. It is so warm, bright, and clean. Free parking, too! Ecstatic Dance was $30 for 2.5 hours and worth every penny. DJ Roman kept the party rolling and the staff were there to support the dancers. We were well taken care of! I can't wait to return!

A spiritual person in the process of awakening and detaching from this 3D world once told me "hey…read moreyou keep getting called to do Kundalini, you should sh*t or get off the pot girl". That person was ME. LOL I have been called to take Kundalini for about a year or more. It has come into my thoughts on and off but I didn't make much of a deal about it. I have noticed Sat Nam Yoga in the past and didn't think much about it except, what a lovely place. Its funny how some places grab your attention at JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT. That moment was 3 weeks ago. I decided to join the new student 2 week special where you can go to as many classes as you would like for 30 bucks. I have been to two Kundalini classes held by Karampal who is also the director of Sat Nam. She is by far a lovely soul with a purpose at having anyone and everyone try Kundalini and other practices at this lovely center. You can feel her energy of love, fun and good vibes. She instructs with patience and diligence. The center is located in West Town, one of my favorite areas in Chicago. The staff are so warm and welcoming, the students/practitioners are friendly, and the sense of community is palpable. I have been to two classes thus far and I am working diligently to try and attend a Full Moon Meditation and Fire Ceremony this Friday. They have Gong ceremony classes, Tai Chi QiGong classes and offer healing services to boot. They have so many offerings that will meet your needs to whatever it is you are looking for that will help you reset/rebalance in life. The choice is yours and the offerings are plenty! I see myself coming more than my two-week special whether that is via drop-in classes or subscription membership. I love it so far and look forward to all the benefits Kundalini and other classes have to offer. I am excited to see where this road takes me.

As a healer I feel the need to share my personal experience, thoughts and genuine concerns with my…read more"massage" last week with Ron. Technically and mechanically he knew how to work on my knots. I have a chronic illness, fibromyalgia and last weekend I overdid it. I saw way too many clients last week on Saturday and carried a huge bag of cat litter around doing errands and twisted my left lower back. I was in extreme pain and very stiff. I Google searched therapists near me and sent a message to Ron on Sunday morning. Ron was extremely responsive and squeezed me in for Sunday evening. He seemed awesome! I was so grateful he could fit me in because I had work Sunday afternoon and I was in so much pain. Now for the not so nice stuff! In all my years when I visited authentic healers they were kind enough to say words that empowered me. A true psychic doesn't disempower you. When I arrived at Ron's medical office he started talking about himself and HIS JOURNEY. His journey with his twin flame, how he got into massage therapy himself and his classes in past life regression which he still hasn't fully completed. Here i am in deep pain listening to Ron yacking incessantly about himself and how and why he got into healing. I was listening politely and then FINALLY he instructed me to undress and he left the room till I hit the buzzer. It was incredibly hard for me to zone out after listening to all his "stories" so I mentioned how I was devastated because I lost some heirloom rings from my deceased mother and some antiques and clothes at a public storage facility in Brighton, Massachusetts because a representative working there gave me an incorrect auction date. His cold blooded response was that I was late with my payment, it was just business and all my fault. He said I incurred bad karma by writing reviews to warn others when they have a long history of doing this to other customers. Ron said all my chakras were blocked because he felt extreme heat except for my root chakra which is cold That's extremely false! When heat rises in the body it means you're going through a Kundalini rising and any area of cold in the body is an area that is blocked. Many authentic healers tell me my issue is mainly my root chakra not my heart. Could be Ron was projecting his blocks onto me? Anyway then we start talking about Spirit guides and I've been told by psychic practitioners one of my Spirit Guides is Native American, which totally resonates with my inner intuition. Right away he pipes up that it might be from another planet aka extraterrestrial influence because I said people saw feathers around my guide. So basically he tried to let me feel like I personally don't have any gifts and don't know for a fact what I'm talking about. I mentioned ancient Egypt because he brought up past experiences with clients who said their daughter was a priestess. Meanwhile I took classes in DNA activation in Boulder, Colorado years ago and had visions of the Goddess Isis...and other genuine psychics saw wings around me during the activation. I'm so stunned that Ron was trying to argue and contradict my profound experiences as if he is all knowing and all seeing and I couldn't possibly be psychic or correct. I felt like the session I paid for was all about him. In summary he said very negative things to my body and my Spirit while working on me. He said all my chakras are BLOCKED AND honestly if that were true I'd be dead 2nd thing that goes wrong is instead of simply working on my muscles immediately he forced me to spend 40 minutes listening to his stories. So my mind was already overactive and I couldn't relax especially when he's using way too much pressure on certain areas. At the end of the session he complains i talk too much when he's the one that was talking about his life journey and his twin flame. After the session he turns on a light so I have to study a painting in his office and be quizzed about the meaning! I also waited outside in the cold 4 my uber instead of his waiting room incredible! Ron definitely doesn't understand how words affect people. I felt very disempowered after all the negativity that was dumped on me. I'm leaving three stars instead of two because I do have empathy and don't wish harm on others but to be honest with you a genuine psychic healer shares positive thoughts with you and gives you helpful advice not harmful and toxic admonitions. Ron needs to focus less on himself and more on just letting his clients relax and be still in the moment. Because of his overzealous conversation preceding my massage my brain was unable to shut down.

Poonam is the owner and you can tell that she has a huge passion for helping others. Instructions are always easy to follow, and the environment is very approachable, and relaxing. My back feels better now at 38 weeks pregnant than when I was 25 weeks pregnant and I really think it has to do with coming every week and getting ideas as to what to do at home. I hope for more pregnant moms to join the prenatal class and get all its benefits.

I'm not a person who normally takes the time to post reviews. Things have to be either really good…read moreor really bad. I purchased a new customer week pass from this studio that was good for online zoom yoga classes only. The first yoga class I wanted to try was a couple hours later the morning I signed up. As a side note, I also took an online zoom breathwork class from another studio right before the yoga class from this studio I am reviewing which went smoothly.. After the breathwork class I logged back into zoom for the yoga class with Universal Spirit using the info that was automatically emailed to me when I signed up. I waited about 15-20 minutes after the class start time and the instructor never came online. I immediately emailed the studio and said that the instructor didn't show up to my zoom class and could I please have my money back. I received an email from the manager/owner of the studio but instead of taking any responsibility, she said she was sorry I was not able to attend the class and that maybe zoom wasn't working properly or maybe I did something wrong. I was not offered a makeup class or an extension on my week pass or even a heartfelt apology. She completely ignored my request for a refund. I always think of yoga studios as safe places filled with kindness and love but this gave me a really bad taste in my mouth and I really didn't want to take any other classes from them. I emailed her back and explained that I am recovering from a double mastectomy surgery from breast cancer and because of that use zoom frequently from home and have never had issues and had even used it right before her class that morning without issue and that I was certain the problem was not on my end. I also explained because of my situation that I didn't have a lot of money and that I just needed services I pay for to go smoothly and that I didn't think her studio and myself were a good fit so could I please just have my money back? This was all requested within hours of purchase. She ignored that email. Over the next day or two I sent an additional email requesting a refund and called the studio and left a message with my phone number. Both email and message were very polite and simple requesting my money back so I could put it towards another class at a different studio. I was completely ignored. She knows that I didn't take any classes from her. She knows that I tried to take the initial class and logged on and emailed her right away that her instructor didn't show up. and instead of reaching out with any sort of solution she blamed me, kept my money, and ignored my attempts to communicate with her. This is by far the most disappointing and unprofessional experience I have ever had in my life with a yoga studio. I would give zero stars if I could.
