I suffered from chronic pain in my shoulder & neck for months with no relief with physical therapy,…read moresteroid or traditional chiropractors. I was almost always on pain relievers & slept poorly. After about 5/6 visit with Dr Cicilia I rarely need any pain relievers and sleep though the night. After about 8 months , . I am going about every 10 days. I would recommend any one suffering from neck, back, shoulder pain to give this therapy a try. The staff is very friendly & kind. The doctors are interested & thoughtful in my progress. I never have to wait long for my appointments.

After hearing another story of someone paying $5k for neuropathy treatment that didn't work. Dr. Ciccala sold them on the treatment, saying they wouldn't need surgery and ended up out of the $5k PLUS having to get surgery. I showed up emotionally spent trying to fix a problem. He appeared to listen and care without any pressure, etc. When I decided to start with him, over time I realized I kept returning without progress, and he did the same thing to address results each session. I finally asked him to review and compare xrays from 1 year prior (approximately) from another NUCCA chiropractor. He kept saying "he hasn't gotten around to it". I finally said, I'm coming in ONLY for the comparison. He was explaining with hesitation to say it was WORSE. I had to say it for him and he agreed. It was my sign to leave then and there. At one point I recall him rolling his eyes when he said people doubt his plan is working. I said, "well, I'm not noticing progress" and to see where I can improve the process, I asked if he had a massage therapy recommendation. He snickered and said "not for you". Another time I asked for a person who could assess nutrition needs and referred me to someone who I wouldn't consider an expert at all. Another service I received there, gave me little to no feedback and when I mentioned that to him, he said "she gives me a lot of info". I would say, the worse your condition is, move on to find a pro. I was at my worst and when you find people to be condescending in that state, says more about their true character. I think he has a good vibe initially - handsome, listens (for opportunity to sell in my opinion) and is a well run, efficient office. BUT my situation was a challenge and although I wanted to trust him, I found he would not have my back, literally or figuratively. Perhaps NUCCA is good, but I doubt it impacts hip/pelvic area at all. Perhaps this doctor and his supporting staff are the best for some. I would say, buyer beware for those with specific needs who want feedback, info and progress. The chiropractic profession has earned a reputation and I've come across various reasons why. He was a bit zipped up so I trusted the process until I experienced his lack of resourcefulness, etc and realized, I committed to his program but he was not committed to my results. Again, he may be great for some, but I find Dr. Ciccala to lack resources unless it's self serving. More than likely I would not have put this review up if their office showed any concern. But after quite a while, I thought I should because others might save their money and time and I don't want to think about them or hold onto this experience. I'm now able to let it go. More than likely, he will roll his eyes like he does about others who aren't experiencing progress.

They are kind, professional, casual, and the quickest office visit I have EVER experienced. I rarely ever have to wait longer than 5 minutes to see a Dr. and that is even during busy hours. They take walk-ins, and I can almost always get right in. Their massage therapists are awesome too.

I unfortunately, however, will be searching for a new chiropractor because I feel like I was wasting my time here. I'm pregnant and was constantly expressing my concerns only to be told it was normal because of pregnancy but was not offered any alternative forms of relief. I feel like the doctor just did his five minute adjustment routine as protocol and didn't really listen to me when I expressed constant discomfort of my lower spine. The pain is to the point where I am quite nervous to go into labor. I guess I just wish he would have offered to try other methods of adjustment instead of just sticking to his routine and chalking up all my suffering to be an "unavoidable part of pregnancy." I do understand that there are some things you are going to expect with pregnancy but I didn't seek care to be told it was just how things were going to be, I seek care to find a solution to my pain. In his defense, there is a limitation to what can be done on pregnant women, but I feel like this isn't that surface level. I just didn't feel like he actually cared or was listening to what was hurting me so badly. Try the place out for yourself though, and don't let my opinion stop you from seeing them.

Without warning she suddenly took my left knee and literally slammed it onto my chest. Two days later for an appointment I told her that since that harsh move, I was in pain. This is NOT sciatica pain. She just looked at me for several moments ... then said I should ice the area. Not one word of caring and definitely no apologies. I did write and mail a letter about my ongoing pain and also emailed the letter to her. Several days later she did call me. No concern, no suggestions. Her words were "My goal is to heal, not harm". It is now three months later and I live with constant pain across my lower back and both hips. I have seen an orthopedic doctor whose specialty is the spine. I have had x-rays and two MRIs. I am unable to bend, sit or rise from a chair or stoop without considerable pain. PT does not help. I have now learned that an aggressive knee-to-chest thrust can overstretch or tear stabilizing ligaments, cause lumbar disc herniation, annular tearing and more. Why would a chiropractor perform such a jamming procedure if she was trained to know the harm that it could/would create? I am sad and frustrated. I have never, with the exception of occasional bouts of sciatica, had a back issue. And I have never ever posted a complaint. But now I feel that Is necessary.

What was intended to be a routine visit for neck pain turned into a nightmare. The chiropractor performed an adjustment that, quite frankly, should not have been attempted without proper assessments or clear communication. There was no mention of potential risks and most concerning of all, no careful evaluation of my individual needs. Instead, the practitioner rushed through a high-velocity manipulation that felt, at best, unprofessional and, at worst, dangerous. Immediately after the adjustment, I experienced intense pain and neurological symptoms, which ultimately led me to seek care.Tests revealed that the chiropractor had caused a cervical injury, which required medical intervention to address. To put it simply, the chiropractor fractured my neck. This is not just a case of poor technique; this was a blatant disregard for patient safety. The level of care and professionalism I experienced at this clinic was woefully inadequate, and I am now living with the physical and emotional consequences. The chiropractor's lack of caution, combined with a clearly flawed understanding of safe spinal manipulation, is truly alarming. To anyone considering chiropractic care, be cautious. Not all practitioners have the necessary expertise or respect for the serious nature of spinal treatment. This experience has shaken my trust in a profession I had once hoped could help me. I strongly advise you to seek professionals who prioritize patient safety above all else.
