This place is a SCAM !! Don't buy the GROUPON SCAM ! They have everything set up to scam you with a fake location and then they will text you a date and a time with no other options and then block you once that day comes. I'll be getting down to the bottom of this. read more

My boyfriend and I got a couples massage off groupon, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We also experienced issues with scheduling, but did eventually get a call back. Definitely not a scam as far as I can tell, just lots of communication issues As others have mentioned, texting is definitely more likely to get you a response. They are very reasonably priced and do a good job, so they seem very busy and perhaps have as much business as they can handle. This place could definitely be great if they were better staffed! read more

Please Please DO NOT purchase the groupon for this place. Reading the reviews I am glad some people were able to book a service with little to no problems but its clearly not consistent so just avoid the headache. I purchase this as a gift for someone and they called for WEEKS trying to schedule an appointment. No one ever answered the phone. They left multiple messages. They resorted to driving to the location to try to schedule in person and the office was closed, lights turned off as if they were no longer open... Groupon has tried contacting them on my behalf and I still have not heard anything. I am trying to get some kind of refund although they are acting like they can't give me one. It expires in two days and I purchased in December...that's how long we have been trying to get an appointment. Like I said...do not purchase the groupon. I wish I read the reviews here first instead of just relying on the ones on Groupon. read more

My wife surprised me with a couples massage at Tranquility Bodyworkz on Thursday, June 7, 2018. She had originally made a reservation a week or so in advance for that Tuesday, June 5th, but was called the day before asking to reschedule for another day. On Thursday, June 7th she was called again and asked if she would reschedule again but we chose not too. When we arrived and were taken to our massage room, there were two mimosas and a tray with some crackers, cubed cheese, grapes, and 5 chocolate covered strawberries. Everything was very nice however I wondered why an odd number of strawberries for two of us? The package that my wife purchased came with the above mentioned "welcome amenity", facials, back scrubs, and massage. Everything was delightful! The facial was very relaxing as was the massage itself. The two ladies that administered our treatments were very polite, cordial and friendly. read more

Do you know what the definition of horrible customer service is? It's not having ANY customer service at all, and this place does just that. Nothing. Let me explain my story, and I wish it hadn't gone this way. I found these people via Groupon as I was looking for an affordable massage. I buy the Groupon, and try to make a call to schedule a day to come in. No answer over the phone, would go straight to voicemail. The message on the machine asked that I leave a message, and it would be returned. Well, 2 weeks had passed, and I never heard back from these people, so I call back. Voicemail again. I called back a ton of times, and it always went to voicemail. So I decided to call back persistently, back to back. Surprise! A human answered, and booked the massage for me. Nothing was available for the entire month, so I book three weeks into the future. No problem, I get it, they were over-booked via their Groupon ad. I call a day before my scheduled appointment to verify if I was to meet them at 5:30, or 5:15. But of course, there was no answer, straight to voicemail. I try calling an hour later and the same issue happens; Voicemail only, all the time! So, I did what I did last time and called persistently. Surprise again, human answers, and she answers my question. So I ask the inevitable: How does one get in touch with you guys when they need to? She becomes very defensive and verbatim says: Well people like YOU blow up our phones, and then fill up our voicemail, so we can't call anyone back. Mind you, they never returned my call from 2 weeks ago, so I asked her about that. She said again, that people like me fill up the voicemail, and she can't get in touch with everyone! SO GET THIS: You pay for your Groupon/Massage, and if you follow their instructions and leave a voicemail, no one is going to call you back BECAUSE their voicemail is full (probably from not returning anyone's calls). So I told her, you can't treat your customers like shit, we need to be able to talk to you. She then proceeds to freak out, and start yelling at me and explaining how she doesn't have time for everybody. Well, tough luck. Hire personnel, or don't apply for a Groupon advertisement if you can't handle it. She clearly can't. I was in an elevator, so the line caught off middle of her freak-out. Which was okay, because I am too old to deal with children. She then immediately texts me saying she won't honor my Groupon because of my "profanity". Apparently telling someone their service sucks, and is "shit" is profane. Dear God, the words "shit" is now profane. Well, no problem, I call Groupon and cancel. However, that means: I paid for a service, busted my ass to get in touch with her, book for an entire month later, only for her later to cancel for bullshit reasons, and her inability to service her customers. Never come here! There are far more places in the Houston area that honor your dollar, your time, and make it so easy to come into contact with them. I promise this to you, I found another person immediately, and couldn't have been happier. Shame on these people. Your customer service is absolute SHIT. read more

This place is an abandoned building and hard to find. No one picks up the phone during business hours and they don't return you call for weeks after. When they finally returned my call they were not helpful and very rude. read more

Run. Run far away, fast! **Zero star review!**** Welp, I'm glad the first reviewer thinks this place is wonderful, as she apparently is the only one that managed to get an actual massage! Avoid this place as trying to book causes you so much stress a lifetime of massages wouldn't help! I too, like the other reviewers booked a massage using Groupon. I have been trying to book an appointment for the entire time that I have had this Groupon, now the Groupon is expired and I still have no massage. No one answers the phones or returns call. When the planets align just right and someone does actually manage to answer the phone, they just give you excuse after excuse why they can't book you because they are booked for three months straight or why they don't answer the phone, yada yada yada. I kept at it and actually managed to get a hold of someone and actually managed to get booked for a massage. Lo and behold, 2 hours before my scheduled massage, they called me to cancel, saying they did not have enough staff on, and the two masseuses' on duty, both happened to have family emergencies and had to leave immediately. She stated that she was going to book me again before the end of the week. NEVER HEARD FROM HER AGAIN, and unsuccessfully tried calling. Got my money refunded through Groupon! read more

If I had to use one word to describe it: AMAZING!! Went to this place with my husband and it was one of the most pleasant and relaxing experiences ever. We both felt that the therapists hit the right spots and made us feel awesome!!! The staff is so welcoming, funny and caring. The setting of the room is very relaxing, the entire place is very clean and smells good. I'm very glad we found and I tried a new place and that everything was beyond my expectations! I was very pleased to see and meet the owner which she took the time to talk with both of us and taking care of us which was very meaningful. read more

I cannot understand the negative reviews of this business. My wife and I went for the Groupon couples massage and it lived up to our expectations. It was exactly as advertised. I am sure that if you are rude to assertive professional women you will get what you deserve. Could not be happier with the service and Ayesha is a star removing stubborn knots from my wife's shoulders. In short don't believe everything that you read until you really know the place. Give it a try, however remember you can't expect gold when you're paying for silver! read more

Purchased a Groupon, been calling and calling to set up an appointment in the past week and noone ever picked up. I left a text message and finally received 1 appt time with no option. I replied asking for options and again heard nothing back. The next morning got a reply that they will call once get into office. Again... no response and no call. I called again and of course noone picks up. Forget it, I will contact groupon to get my $$$ back. This is not the way to run a business. Horrible attitude, zero customer service. No thanks. read more

I called to schedule an appointment because they gave me gift. Lady called back left a voicemail then she texted me and when I replied back saying I had a Groupon about to expire guess what??? Never heard back from her again. Speaks volumes!!! read more

I came to Tranquility Bodyworkz yesterday for a couple massage which entailed a massage for myself and my daughter for her 11th Birthday, and although her massage was fantastic, mine was not. I noticed during my massage that Ayisha (my massage therapist) was rubbing my feet with one hand, and playing on her phone with the other. I even reached out to discuss what happened, and did not receive a response. I have a tight budget, so for me to have a massage (usually only once or twice a year) it is a treat; So you can imagine how frustrating and disappointing this was. Will not be returning here and suggest anyone looking for a good massage not try this establishment either. read more

I NEVER write reviews, so that should say something. Worst customer experience ever! Originally scheduled but cancelled few hours before due to "weather" (50F outside, little rain). Called at over 50 times to reschedule but no one picked Up. They did (oddly) text, but very infrequent and unreliable. We got couples deep tissue - one was OK, the other was a glorified foot message. NEVER AGAIN! read more

If you gonna spend some money make an investment and open a business why would you scam people and be such a mediocre business? For the people out there thinking this places it's a good idea, don't do it, waste of money and time. It's not a business more like a scam. read more

Let's see where could I start... we got there 5 minutes late we go inside and asked if we were going to have mimosas we both said yes. We were directed to a room that had a small fruit tray no problem. We got in the bed and let me tell you... I'm a licensed cosmetologist and know a thing or two about facials and that is not a mini facial. That was a mask left to dry then removed, the massage itself was a joke I don't think they are even licensed, my massGe person was barefoot and the other person attending to my friend was wearing headphones the entire time. Both kept stopping to walk away for supply and coming in and out of the room. At one point the door was completely opened and worker was talking to another customer outside. The worse "spa" experience I could ever imagine. Do not go here I will be following up to see if they are even licensed because by the look of it I think not! read more

All of the bad ratings are true! I purchased a 4 1 hour massage package from them in April 2016 and have yet to be able to redeem my last 2 massages. Just as mentioned by many other reviewers they are never available. They never answer the phone or they call back a week later or never at all. The one time that they did return my call they were booked up for several weeks according to the lady that called. I honestly don't believe it! However, they had no issue taking the money from me when I paid for the package. And I was told its non refundable, so theyve been paid for a service they haven't performed. Such a shame! This is not the way to do business. read more

Like others have said... this place has BAD BAD BAD customer service. Do not purchase a Groupon!! I have been trying to get my massage which my aunt paid for weeks ago by purchasing a package. Prefer NO STAR! Horrible customer service. I could NEVER make an appointment. Purchased massage on Groupon. Someone called me back once.....she informed me "she was booked up for 2 weeks) wanted a couple massage. When I tried CALLING & TEXTING! No one replied!!! I notified Groupon and they said "someone would contact within 3 days" What a joke. The Groupon expires on this Saturday. !!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Problems, like so many other reviewers have stated - my first call I got an actual person to make an appointment. I was told it would be 2 months out for the Groupon Couples offer. I called the day prior to confirm. NO answers. I left many messages for 2 days. NO returns, no explanations, no concern for rescheduling. I did not go to the appointment since no one would answer. I had no idea if they were open that day or not, and I wasn't going to drive 20 plus minutes to the location without knowing it was open. So I then looked up the business in several places. Of course, there are many negative reviews from people being ignored as well, and even showing up for appointments and no one being there. Several months later I contacted Groupon to get a credit returned to my account. The owner had the nerve to file, 2 weeks prior, a claim for my paid Groupon when I never came in contact with them or had services rendered. I don't know if they are capable of delivering good massages, facials, etc. since I didn't get the chance to find out. Now I know why they don't care about returning calls. Once they get your Groupon code they file for the money, whether you came in or not. Do not use this person. She has very poor business practices, she is very unprofessional and she seems to be a thief/fraud claiming by money for services she didn't give. I hope Groupon ceases to use this business. read more

I just had the most fabulous massage! Ask for owner, Ayisha! You are greeted at the door with refreshing lemon water or warm coffee...on this particular day they even had chocolate chip cookies!! We arrived 5 minutes before our appointment...one piece of advice--arrive on time! There was hardly any wait and my mom and sis went to one room, I had my own room...lucky me! The massage was AWESOME. Where else can you get a massage and sugar back scrub for such an affordable rate?! My mom and sis also enjoyed their massages as well. My favorite part was the neck massage..I had a long flight and the pain vanished after Ayisha's manic hands. Look out for the awesome display of handmade item made by the owner. read more

I want to request a number for booking a reservation? I have been calling for 3 days at all different times to try and reserve a couples massage (already purchased), and I get no one. When the answering machine picks up, it says there is no room for more messages. I find it very unprofessional that they don't have a receptionist to take client calls. I find it more ridiculous that I will have to drive all the way there just to book an appointment! read more

We have been going to these wonderful women for massages for over two years! They give an exceptional massage at a very reasonable price. I read some of the other reviews and can recommend texting them as well. I have personally had massages from all of the massage therapists, and they are all highly skilled. Also, they run specials for Valentine's Day and other holidays where they pamper you with mimosas or sparkling juice and snacks. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! read more

Had a great experience. I purchased a couples massage from groupon. The location was a little hard to find at first so it caused us to be late. However, once we arrived, the workers was nice and friendly and ensured we enjoyed our massages. We got a deep tissue massage which my mom enjoyed more than I did, I thought it was kind of painful but as the day continues my body is def beginning to feel better. Overall it was worth it and a good experience so we tipped the worker. read more

I had a great massage and my masseuse really worked out the knots. I probably wouldn't get the mini facial or sugar scrub again but they were pleasant enough. If you go to this establishment expecting a high end spa, you will be disappointed. They do not use fancy/expensive spa products, with which I'm ok. They use avocado for the facial, sugar for the back scrub and baby oil for the massage. At $25 for a one hour massage, you can't expect more than what it is. The staff have all been very sweet and I'm happy to keep giving them my business because it really was a great massage. After the Groupon, I went ahead and bought the 4-pack of massages and scheduled them in person with my preferred masseuse. Easy peasy. read more

So far so good. I tried calling this place serval time like everyone else and they wouldn't answer. So I drove to place and someone was there. I was able to book appointment next day. This place has another address which is at 14511 Falling Creek Dr, Houston, TX 77068 for which I purchased a Groupon and have been trying to schedule an appointment since 12/18/17. Three weeks later I had not received a call back or text after leaving three messages. On 1/10 I left a message and text from another number and received a response 8 hours later stating they are not booking Saturdays and need to schedule during week. On 1/12 I stated that I work during week and can only schedule on a Saturday. I asked when you will be scheduling Saturdays again and they said next week which would be 1/20/18 which I asked to be scheduled for 1st available Saturday. They asked one or two people and I said one. Today 1/18/18 I receive a message stating Saturdays are booked until further notice and to pick a day during week. My response was that this was the worst customer service and that I was going to make a complaint and request my money back. I have been patient since December and understand they may have been busy but I feel I have given enough time. Their response was that I am now going to lie, that they have evidence of their communications with me and that I am making threats. This is very unprofessional of them and I feel my complaint to be valid because if they received so many Groupon requests (as told to me by rep) and could not accommodate within a reasonable time frame then they should have pulled the ad. I did not answer their calls today due to being at work and we have both agreed to not contact each other. read more

Let me start off by saying that yes there were some communication 'issues', but ultimately the appointment was made. Now, on to the service. My wife and I had booked a couples massage. My wife claims that her service provider did a decent job and actually seemed to know how to give a massage. I, on the other hand, received the worst possible experience ever. My 'therapist' knew nothing about giving a massage. She slathered some oil on my body, rubbed it around, then attempted to wipe it off with a hot towel. Her hands felt like sand paper. She asked me what areas to concentrate on and then never even touched those areas. Please do your homework people. Sometimes a good deal, really isn't a good deal. read more

Ayisha and her staff are wonderful!!! The ambience is relaxing and every time I have gone, I am completely comfortable and at ease. I brought my fiancée for a surprise Valentines couples massage. Having never had a professional massage before, he did not know what to expect. He left feeling relaxed, muscle aches eased, and we have since made return visits and plan on making this a monthly goal. Ayisha is incredibly helpful, she will ask questions if you have any areas that need more attention that particular visits, VERY professional, but yet so friendly. I've had massages in Thailand, at fancy resorts across the world, this is right there with the best of them!! read more

Please Please Please heed the warnings on these reviews! They are absolutely true and then some! I paid in advance for a couples massage that I planned to use for a New Year's gift orginally, no one would answer my calls or return them and the mailbox was full so I couldn't even leave a message. I assumed it was just busy for the holidays. I decided I would use it for my birthday on Feb 3rd, same exact thing not a word from anyone. Decided we would go a few days after as it was between my birthday and his but no response either, tried for Valentine's day and same exact thing. I still was patient and let it slide, his birthday is TODAY and I had been calling repeatedly to both numbers listed the past few days with not so much as a response, call, not a single.word. what soever. I started reading the reviews (I originally paid when this place was highly rated with the few reviews the had) and then saw that soooo many others like myself had gone through the same trouble! I also found out the numbers I was calling were cell phones so I texted both of them with no response either and then one of the numbers actually BLOCKED my cell phone number. Mind you, this was a business that I already PAID and it had been WEEKS. I have called this place well over 50 times, probably about 100 by now- not an exaggeration and it wasn't until I went to the party I booked through to try to get a refund that all of the sudden and magically I got a short text saying was I still wanting to book and for what- I responded immediately and tried calling- same thing, not one word. I tried calling and texting both numbers again later that night with nothing, then several times every few hours the following day and again- not a word. I got in touch with the party I booked through and again, poof like magic I got a response saying I could not book the massage I paid for weeks ago until mid APRIL on a day we cannot even attend due to our schedules. Keep in mind I paid either the end of December or first days of January- I would have to check my bank statement to be sure. Do not, please DO NOT even bother trying to give this place your business. The few responses I got were not at all customer service worthy and sounded more like scam artists. Please learn from the rest of our stories, no one should have to call a place over and over and over with not a single word back especially when they already have your money. Don't bother trying to drive out and waste your gas going in person, the doors will be locked. I have never had such a horrible experience with any business ever and I haven't even been inside the place! You will get less of a headache sitting at the DMV for a week straight than you will trying to give this place a chance. read more

If possible, I'd give 0 stars for customer service. Our first service with the ladies at Tranquility Bodyworkz was through Groupon. Everything was as promised and we received everything mentioned in the Groupon. However, they hadn't updated their address and we ended up at another location. It took a while to get a hold of anyone because if you're familiar with this business, you know it is ridiculous to get a hold of anyone on the phone. Their excuse is always "We are always busy". When I Initially bought the Groupon, I almost felt like the purchase had been a scam because it took me almost a week to get a hold of anyone to schedule the first massage. The staff, in general, has a nasty attitude and negative demeanor towards the customers. Customers are not a priority nor is their satisfaction with their service. Don't get me wrong, their massages are pretty good, but it is not relaxing to have to deal with difficult business owners. They have 0 phone etiquette and are very short and snappy with their responses. Getting an appointment with them is just as difficult as getting a hold of them because they're always "booked" and "busy", yet occasionally may leave early because of "excessive cancellations". If you want a good massage, I'd give them a try. However, if you don't want to deal with the additional stress and inconveniences, I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

So I had a Groupon for this location and when I called it was almost impossible to get a massage scheduled. I picked a day and was asked for the Groupon number I said I would bring it with me. I had to cancel the massage so I left a voicemail over a week ago. I just got a text to confirm my appointment. When I texted back I had called to cancel I was told there would be a $15 charge to cancel. At this point I am totally disgusted and unwilling to waste my time. read more

If I could give lower than 1 star I would. This was the worst company I have ever dealt with. The first phone number I called said their voicemail was full and I was not able to leave a message. The second number I called I was able to leave a message. The voicemail also said I could text this phone number, so I did. I tried for a week to get in touch was this company and by the end of the week they just stopped responding all together. On Wednesday, 2/28/2018, I started the process of scheduling an appointment for a couple massage for Friday 3/2/2018, 24 hours later I received a response, on 3/1/2018, asking if it was for a couple or single. I received the text at 1:10 pm and I responded to the text at 1:10 pm. On Friday 3/2/2018 I finally received a response that they were booked for the day at 10:07 am. I responded at 10:12 am asking if they were booked when I asked on Wednesday and what else they have available, last if there was a phone that I could have to to talk to someone and get a faster response. To my surprise I never received a response from that message. I gave them time to respond, the rest of Friday, Saturday, they are closed on Sunday's and I gave them Monday, 3/2/18-3/5/18. Yesterday, 3/6/2018 at 9:19 am I sent another text informing them that they never responded to my message I sent on Friday, 3/2/2018, and that I have had very little response from this business. I asked again for a phone number to call so I could speak to someone and asked for their availability for all of March and April. I never received a response from them and it is now Wednesday, 3/7/2018. Today, 3/7/2018 I contacted Groupon and filed a complaint against this vendor and will be receiving a full refund within 24-48 hours. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE.
