My husband got the living social voucher back in November 2017, I tried to make an appointment but they were fully booked for the whole week. I tried to make an appointment for a month ahead and had a hard time getting anyone to even acknowledge my messages (txt). They don't answer the phones when you call. To give an idea, I finally got them to agree to an appointment for March 30th (I made this in end of January after dozens of calls and txt messages on my part). They message me in February saying they're confirming my appointment for February. I tell them I never made an appointment for February and they pretty much argue that I never booked the March appointment and it's now too late to book that day I originally agreed to. They refuse to respond to any messages about making a new appointment. This is all done via txt so how it is they don't see plain text I don't know. It is to the point they state to me they have don't take appointments too far ahead (in one case, I was willing to book 3 months into the future). The fact that they don't take appointments 3 months or more ahead makes me wonder if their business is one that could just disappear in 3 months time. Now to give to history as to why my husband bought this voucher. I had previously bought the same voucher a year prior and we had a good experience. Yes appointment booking was done via txt message however it was not as confused (their end) or a hassle for me. The only thing in hindsight that I realize now is that when we showed up for our appointment, another couple was their as well and they were given the run around about how their appointment wasn't made like they thought. At the time I didn't think much of it as I'm use to getting confirmation request/reminders the day before appointments. While our experience the 1st time was without a hitch. I'm realizing now that it might just be easier to win the lottery than to get this company to make your appointment and keep it no matter how far ahead you are willing to book or how flexible you can be with the future date as they are pretty much unwilling to truthfully work with you. It seems they will make the effort if they feel like it. This process started in November 2017 and it is now March 2018 and I have no appointment with them (aside from the one they say I made despite no record of it in the messages between them and me). I have tried to be patient and understanding but this takes the cake in unreasonable. The fact that they stop their appointment calendar 2 months out from the day you speak to them says that either they cannot plan ahead or do not plan to be in business that far ahead. read more

I have been going to Tranquility Bodyworkz for almost a year and never had a bad experience. I absolutely love that they are so personable and try to offer you the most customizable experience. You are able to request how you would like your massage - the type of pressure, if you want front and back, hot towels, you name it! I first found out about them years ago on Groupon when I used to gift them to my mom then later both my parents. They got hooked and wanted me to try it out one day, and I fell in love. Rachel is so accommodating and always makes me feel comfortable and I've grown to see her as a good friend. Ayesha and all the other ladies always so sweet as well. They are extremely busy and get alot of customers so you have to book ahead and it is much easier to reach them via text message. I would definitely recommend giving them a try and then making your decision. The price is also unbeatable compared to other massage places. They are a small business and provide an hour of great service at a reasonable price. Check them out! read more

They keep put up new groupon but no one ever pickup the phone so i can make an appointment

This is a 0 star review. These people never answer the phone. I even drove by during business hours to try and schedule a massage and the doors were locked. Nobody would answer. I tried texting the number and no response. My husband was able to get someone to respond to a text message saying most of the dates were full. They asked for us to text our available dates. 10+ days later and we still haven't had anyone confirm the schedule we texted them. What a scam! I'm so angry I even wasted my time with this place. Of course, I got the group on discount so now I'm trying to figure out how to get a refund. Extremely disappointed with this place. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

My sister and I are completely satisfied and feel the staff went above and beyond! We found Tranquility Bodyworkz on Groupon and found our favorite massage therapist, Rachel. I had a back full of knots from my recent plane ride and Rachel was a godsend. She was incredibly helpful, kind, sincere, and was able to work out most of my neck and back stiffness. She said she isn't a usual deep tissue therapist, but I found her to be awesome. I am a regular spa goer and get massages at least 1 a month. I wish I could see Rachel more often, but both my sister and I are from out of state but will definitely be booking Rachel every chance we get when visiting Houston. Thanks so much again Rachel! read more

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS, I WOULD. The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. If you can actually get in touch with anyone that works there, then good luck to you because I couldn't even deal with their attitude problem that they constantly have. They texted me the night before my appointment at 9:30 pm (seriously?..) to verify with me the wrong appointment time. I finally got that issue fixed then, wasted my time driving to this place to find out that the address that they have on Groupon (bc I bought the deal through Groupon) is their "old address". I called to ask where they were actually located and couldn't get anyone to answer the phones. By the time they called me back they said I had already been 15 minutes late and I would have to reschedule my appointment for another day. Never again! Don't waste your time!! How they have 4 stars on Groupon blows my mind! read more

Zero stars if I could! First off, got a groupon since Christmas and they told me they were "fully booked" for three months. Three months later got a call the day of our appointment to be notified that the pipes burst and they had to cancel (go figures as its a nasty building). After already wanting to give up, I rescheduled only to be given nonexistent customer service as far as the location beside a text message at 8:30 pm the night before my appointment with the address (which obviously people were having problems getting there & this address took me 10 miles in a different direction). Driving 30 miles away, in the rain trying to call them and no answer! Finally, someone calls back about 20 mins into my appointment time and says yes you can still make it and proceeds to give me directions. After getting to this sketchy office building, the ladies at the front desk did not even greet us with a hello but rather why did you even come bc we cannot honor your appointment since you are late. YES! This was after it took multiple phone calls to even get on the phone with them, driving in the rain to get directions! So no I did not get massage nor did they fulfill my wishes to give a refund .... I wonder if this whole thing isn't a big scheme! I cannot comment on the quality of the massage but let's just say the ambiance left much to the imagination. Beware! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Unfortunately I can't speak to the quality of their massage because I never got one. I can however talk about the ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE customer service. First off it was nearly impossible to schedule an appointment because many times I would call and nobody would pick up. When it would go to voicemail I got the message that the inbox was full and was unable to ever leave a message. Finally, one lucky day I got through and got an appointment scheduled. They confirmed with me the day before only to later cancel on me the day of with only 2 hours notice. Their excuse was that the person I was scheduled with had an emergency. I was upset but understanding. I was told that I would receive a call from them to reschedule. Over a week went by and I never received a call. Then I tried to call back myself to reschedule. Once again nobody answered the phone despite tons of calls. Days later I received a call back and was told that the soonest appointment they had was a full month away. I booked it and had my boyfriend request off work to ensure we could attend. The day before my appointment arrived and I never received a confirmation call so I attempted to call them myself. Surprise surprise, no answer. This time however they finally cleared out their voicemail so I was able to leave a message. I ended up getting a call back confirming my appointment. The next day 4 hours prior to my appointment I received a text asking if I could be moved to 3:30 instead of 5:00. I told them I couldn't due to work. Then they asked if I could reschedule a different day and I told them no because my boyfriend requested off work specifically for today. They told me they had a 5:30 scheduled and didn't have a person free to do our couples massage but would try to figure something out. I then tried calling at 3:30 when I got off work but there was no answer yet again. I sent a text to the number that was contacting me previously to ask if they had found someone because I never heard back and needed to leave by 4:00 if I was to make it on time. Never had a response via text and they never picked up despite multiple calls between 3:30 and 4:00. This was a groupon that I had purchased and luckily groupon refunded my money. The company did not call me back until 4:40 and I didn't bother to pick up. They do not deserve your money because they are not reliable. A massage is supposed to be relaxing and this entire process caused me nothing but stress. If you're looking for a massage I would go anywhere but here. Unbelievably terrible service! Would give 0 stars if that was an option. read more

This place is a joke. I bought a couples massage on Groupon in January and the first available weekend they had was this weekend which was perfect because it is my fiances birthday. I got a call yesterday morning confirming my appointment and then one later in the afternoon cancelling it because the therapists were will which I understood. I did express my frustrations and talked them about my options. I was then told that the therapists may feel better today and come in so she would call me back and reconfirm my appointment or reschedule BEFORE close of business yesterday. I never received a call back and tried to call them yesterday before close but got no answer. I have called 3 times this morning after they opened and no one is answering and the voicemail is full. My appointment is for 11am this morning and I have heard nothing. Their customer service is extremely poor, don't waste your time or money here! read more

BEWARE!! Do not do business with this company! They are crooked thieves and are targeting Groupon customers specifically. The first appointment we had scheduled for a massage was cancelled by them last minute claiming that their water pipe had busted and their office was flooded. I knew from reading reviews here on yelp, that was an excuse they've used before on other customers. So against my better judgment, I let my spouse reschedule with them. SO...when I show up at their office building TODAY 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment at 3:30pm, their office sign says they close at 3pm on Saturdays!!! I believe wholeheartedly that they sell the Groupon vouchers so cheap so that when you get the run around from them, or completely ignored (because we all know they don't answer their phone) that the customer will just cut their losses and move on. NOT ME!! I called Groupon and demanded, not voucher bucks, but my money back! They complied pretty quickly. I warned Groupon to be more careful of the companies that they decide to let sell vouchers through them. Now that I'm all stressed out I will seek a massage SOMEWHERE ELSE! I advise you to do the same!!!! read more

Since I was forced to pick a star I chose 1 star but in reality it's not even worth that. I paid for services back in March 2017. It is now August 2017 and I have yet gotten in touch with anyone to schedule my services. I decided to go to the address listed (3303 FM 1960 Rd W Houston, TX 77068) and the building is scary and looks abandon. Still no luck with finding anyone. I even called the owners of the building hoping they can shed some light, or even tell me if they are still tenants of theirs, but no answer from them either. I only chose this business because it came highly recommended but now I'm starting to question my friends judgment. this is insane. Seems like I totally wasted my money with prepaying for these services. No one ever answers the phone, the voicemail box is full and no response to text. I normally don't write reviews but I have to share this so others know this is not the place to go unless you feel like throwing money away. Please avoid at all cost. It is not worth the hassle. read more
