My massage therapist (Jacky): I'll start off by mentioning the star of the show. Her massage was…read morethe best massage I had had in many years, and I have had a lot of them. Her approach was intuitive, unique, and also focused on wellness as well as healing, addressing all troubled spots, and making you feel like you walk out of there like 1 million bucks. She brings a specialized training to the business and they are very lucky to have someone like her there. There are some people who are simply quite talented and excellent in their work as a massage therapist, and she is at the top. She is the sole reason that my review is two stars and not one. The facility itself: it was a beautiful setting with a clean, waiting area and massage rooms and overall welcoming vibe. It was peaceful in there. And there was a great color scheme and lighting as well. The manager and the staff: here's where it gets ugly. The manager has personality issues and appears to think that treating customers like they are at a used car lot is the way to interact with them. I repeat: if you work at a massage place, don't act like a used car salesman. It's not a good look. On both occasions that I went there, I was hounded endlessly by staff about purchasing extra stuff, a membership, and other stuff, despite telling them that I'm visiting the area very briefly. It didn't seem to matter. It was like they had been indoctrinated to continue hounding customers. Even after telling them, no, they just continued with their script. It came off as super unprofessional. This is no way to train your employees and it certainly is not the kind of experience a person wants when walking into a massage parlor much less when leaving one. The manager appears to have an attitude of holding the customer responsible for things that she should take care of, and she had no social skills either. I'm fairly certain I'm not the only person who has experienced that with her. During the second appointment that I had, the girl who closed out the bill for me looked rather young, was totally socially inept, and very rude. I think a number of customers might have smacked her if she kept talking the way she did. She had no manners and no common sense when talking with somebody who had just come out of a massage feeling very relaxed. In other words, she just needed to shut up and let the customer enjoy the massage. Also, a business that does not thank a customer for coming in, spending that much money, and coming back a second time in the same week is one that needs some serious retraining in customer service. At the end of it all, this rude girl not only did not thank me, she then said something about trying to "help me out", as if I needed her help for something. She has a bit of growing up to do, especially when talking to someone a lot older than she. Take-home lessons for the business: First and foremost -- thank your customers for paying you money for your services. Secondly, do your best to resist the urge to keep drilling in your point about me buying other stuff and how it could save me money. Third, don't hound people like a used car salesman on a bad day. Finally, if the manager of your business has a nasty attitude in need of an adjustment, this abomination can trickle down to the employees if one is not careful. Value: To the nasty girl's point above about saving money, the final thing I would say here is that this place charges way too much and it's not like they're in the middle of Beverly Hills. There's some serious greed going on here with whoever is making that much of a profit off of people.

I'm very grateful to have found a place like Healing of the Body and Mind! They're friendly,…read morepersonable, passionate about what they do, and have a gentle and caring approach with a combined knowledge and expertise that is much needed especially when trying to do a cleanse and detox to heal the entire gut, body and mind together as a whole. I also very much appreciate their space and how clean it is and that they have a bathroom in each colonic room; it makes each colonic session even more comfortable. I was looking for a colonic place with a closed-machine-system since that's what I'm used to for over 13 years in SoCal. I have looked and mostly seen that the Phoenix / Scottsdale area seems to offer a lot of open-machine-colonic-systems and I tried it, but it definitely wasn't for me. That's when I became even more grateful that I finally found a place like Healing of the Body and Mind! I saw Erica, and I am extremely grateful for her beyond belief! I do believe she's heaven-sent! I found her when I needed her the most! I moved from CA and dearly missed my previous Colonic-Therapist/friend. I didn't believe I'd find anybody like my previous, until I met Erica! She embodies everything and more I've been looking for in a Holistic Colon Hydrotherapist!!! She's experienced, knowledgeable, extremely patient, kind, gentle, caring, sweet, thoughtful, and quite literally the Coach that held my hand when I most needed one! My gut issues had gotten bad, I was in pain frequently and couldn't eat much without having side effects. I was desperate and I knew I needed to do my gut liver / gallbladder detox / cleanse again! I found Healing of the Body and Mind and quickly scheduled the two colonic appointments they suggest (to open up the detox pathways) with Erica, I also scheduled a Foot Detox Bath right before a colonic, so I can detox even further. I also did a lymphatic massage with Kasia; anything that would help me reset and jumpstart into my detox/cleanse/healing again. There is a HUGE difference from seeing a Colonic Therapist for a closed-colonic-system session to sit with you and walk you through the entire session quite literally being your mental and physical Healing Coach/Supporter through it all, than sitting in a room alone through a colonic session with an open-system. I am extremely grateful for Erica!!! She is definitely my person and my new healing buddy!! I did my 8 day Fasting / Liver / Gall Bladder flush/detox/cleanse with her and I am also scheduling my maintenance sessions with her in between my longer detox/cleanses, so I don't let my gut issues get to that bad point again. Erica is definitely the person to see and walk you through your colonic sessions and gut cleanses with TLC! Thank you everyone at Healing of the Body and Mind!

I was greeted by Brett in the lobby and we chit chatted about what I was looking for before he got started. Let me tell you, Brett understood the assignment. It was truly the most relaxing hour of my trip. He was wonderful, checking in with me about my needs and the pressure but still giving me the peace and quiet I needed. He was truly skilled, he worked on all the areas that were carrying tension while focusing on giving me a relaxing experience. At the end he massaged my face (MY FACE) and I was transported into another dimension of relaxation. Brett is great at his job! I'll be back in a few weeks and am very much looking forward to getting away for another massage at Krave. 10/10, I highly recommend Krave and Brett. Great massage!
