They called in extra therapists to accommodate us so we could have massages at the same start time which we really appreciated. I had a Swedish massage with Chelsea and she was amazing. She listened to my concerns and checked with me on the pressure. The massage was wonderful and just what I needed. The best stylists in my experience have been from Japan and Korea. They know my hair best and their techniques are first class. I finally found my stylist, but she is on Oahu which means I need to spend extra money to fly over to get my hair done. That's how selective I am with stylists and important it is to trust anyone with my hair. Since I can't see Naomi at Raiz salon on Oahu often, I needed to find someone locally. I've come across some good stylists, but not great. With a recommendation from my cousin, who raved about her technique (the style and technique my asian stylists have), I wanted to make an appointment right away. Upon our first meeting, we clicked. I brought in samples of what I liked, had a great consultation, got to see some of her expertise at work and was blown away. I call her "Edward Scissorshand" lol I felt confident she knew her stuff. I trusted her with my hair. Sold! I never felt as excited about getting my hair cut with anyone other than my regular stylist on Oahu and in Colorado. She's also a great person to talk to. My 1 hour hair appt became a 2hour getaway. Thanks, Julia! She moved into a smaller space at Harbor Mall, but I like that it's cozier and more personal, rather than sitting in a room with a bunch of strangers with hair problems and their kids and families who tag along. lol With her expertise, I was amazed at the affordable cut for my long locks. I am used to paying at least $60 for just a cut/shampoo/style. I paid half of what I normally do. Cost is never an issue with me if it means getting a very good one. Thank you Julia! I'd like to see more exclusive hair products from Asia, but the "Miracle 10" leave in potion she recommended is awesome for my fine hair.
