Dr. Tran is the kindest and most sincere dentist I've had. I've been going to her for the past 3 years for cleaning, deep cleaning, and getting a crown. She has been excellent and knowledgeable for all procedures. I love going to her because unlike some dentists, she has very good and open communication skills. I know it sounds like a given, but it's absolutely refreshing to be able to be told just *exactly* what the dentist is going to do to you and why. For example, when I was getting my crown done, she explained to me why my tooth felt sensitive and that it's only temporary. Maybe it's her tactic of getting the patients to understand and relax. Love Dr Tiphanie Tran. I had so many issues with other Dentist, and met her for 2nd opinion about a Crown. she said no need to replace. showed me xray. My son was told he had 5 cavities. Unbelievable service! I contacted Doctor Tran on New Year's Eve to let her know about a problem I had while eating pizza. She asked if I could make it down to her office the next day on January 1st (New Year's Day) at 8 AM. I could not believe anyone would open up their business for someone on a scheduled closed National Holiday. I go here because I just changed insurance and her dental practice is close to my house. Their receptionist was a little pushy with an extra recommended procedure (I told her that I had to check with my insurance to see if it would be covered - she kept insisting that it SHOULD be covered but I had to tell her that I have limited coverage to shut her up). Their oral x-ray equipment seems a little outdated... the thing they stick in your mouth to take x-rays are so HUGE - I almost gagged on every x-ray photo on my first visit! I think they also overbook people... I came in for my previous appointment, got seated in the dental chair, and heard the patient in the next room just starting his appointment with Dr. Tran! I had to lie there and wait forever for them to finish so I could start my turn. Why didn't they just give me a later appointment time? read more

Dr. Tiphanie Tran is a very caring, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient dentist. There was a time where she squeezed me into her very busy schedule because I had to undergo a procedure. Dr. Tran has been my (large) family's dentist for over 13 years. She's very gentle. I've had horrible experiences with other dentist in the past who are careless with their work and lack compassion. That's clearly not the case with Dr. Tran or her staff. Desiree at the front desk is wonderful! Very accommodating. Not only do they work with my difficult work schedule but they accommodate my large family as well. I've had dental emergencies where Dr. Tran herself returned my call within the hour. I've been here twice now -- not impressed. Lots of waiting and scheduling follow-up appointments -- not good for individuals with busy schedules. They said they do not have early morning appointments before 9 but seems like they do according to the sign-in logs. Did not do normal checks that dentists usually do (i.e. inform you about cavity situation -- even if there are none, perform gum depth measurements, etc.). Also didn't write anything down in a chart which is a bit skeptical -- unless she has photographic memory. Did a good job cleaning teeth but felt like I was at a dental hygienist instead of a dentist. To summarize, she was nice and performed a good cleaning but was not worth the wait. read more

Dr. Tran and her assistant work very nice. However the quality of work was a different story. She removed 26 teeth and insisted I needed dentures at 37 years old. After I left her office with the Dentures they were unpolished that's with rough edges and we're completely unwearable. Bone fragments for left in my gums protruding out of my gums. The teeth were so large that I could not close my mouth. I moved to a different area and had to have a Vibe fix the dentures just to be able to wear them. It's still an ongoing process and the laboratory which I took them two were completely horrified at the quality of the product that I was given. I knew several other women who went to this office and had unsatisfactory work and experiences as well. I would not recommend anyone going to this dentist. read more

This review goes towards kids/children. If you are planning to take your child here- don't. Today was the lay straw going here. From the first visit my son hated it and i can understand why. I should have looked for another dentist. My son freaks out every visit and screams. They try to do their best but not good enough. I get it, he's screaming and all but it shouldn't be rushed. They made it seem like they just wanted us out of there. To take pictures of the teeth the used this big ol thing they stick in your mouth and my sons mouth is small, he's only 2 (but at the time this happened he was 1). I could go on. But Im never coming back here. My son hates it and so do i and i want him to have a good experience with the dentist. Def not kid friendly. At least not for toddlers. read more

Today Tiphanie cleaned my teeth and I left feeling so fresh and so clean. Tiphanie's been my dentist for the past 7 to 10 years (I lost track) and after moving away for college, I still schedule appointments with her when I'm planning on coming back. I've been to other dentists and I haven't been satisfied with anyone besides her. She has a gentle sincerity not found in other offices I've experienced. I'm not one to look forward to dentist visits, but it helps that time flies by sitting in her dentist chair looking out on the rooftop views and potted plants. I'm a new patient.....Was referred by my parents. Scheduling an appointment was simple and straight-forward. Made easy by the wonderful reception Desiree. Just make a quick phone call, tell them about your insurance coverage and yadda yadda yaaaaa~ they'll figure out the rest. My appointment was at 9:30am, I came kind of early and was seated in the dentist chair shortly after filling out my dental history form. Shot X-Rays, Informed them of my stupid wisdom teeth, got my teeth and gums polished, scraped, clean, and raped. Followed by intense flossing!! Nice, never felt anymore violated but reaaallly clean. DR. Tran is definitely a genuine and sincere dentist. She's really lookin' out for your teeth from my experience. The whole visit lasted only an hour MAX!! Not too bad :) Was able to schedule another appt to get my teeth extracted really soon too! :) Looking forward to my next visit! I'll let you know with an update! read more

Worst experience I've ever had with dentistry. failed root canal, filled it after when I needed a crown. And wach session was some of the worst pain I've had to sit through. I'll never go back. My first appt here was okay. Dr. Tran seemed nice enough, good bedside manners. I was a bit taken aback by the pain I had to endure though, and questioned whether I should come back.I was too lazy to find another dentist. Due to my own laziness, and need to get the work done, I made a second appt. My appt was at 9am. I waited and waited, and waited some more. Hmmhhh. A good 30 minutes passed, and I'm still waiting. How patient must a patient be? Then another patient comes in; who was mentally disabled. For some reason, he was able to get seen before I was. No problem had it not been for the fact that it was now a good 45 minutes since I first set foot in the door. Next thing I know, I hear shreiks coming from the young man. Then the receptionist jumps out of her seat to go help. If I didn't know any better, it sounded like there were 4 ppl holding him down. Poor thing. Well, by then, enough was enough. Beware of this place! Horrible customer service by the lady at the front desk! This is a long overdue review and it needs to be said. I had a some issues with her over a course of time and the one that ticked me off the most was when i was supposed to get my wisdom teeth removed. I had it scheduled for 1030 am, i had requested to leave work early that day so i could make it to my appt. I had tried calling the office a whopping 23 times!! To tell them i was running late by a few mins. They never answered the phone. When they finally did, they said it was too late i missed my appt. They were not apologetic at all. Very unprofessional. My mother was referred by her Fremont dentist to Dr. Tran for root canal treatment. She has Medical so the X-rays were to be sent to Sacramento for approval. After waiting 2 months I called their office and was told that Dr.Tran had looked at the X-rays and decided that a root canal could not be done and so had not sent X-rays to Sacramento for approval. Her office did not inform me or the referring dentist of her decision. So for 2 months my mother had no treatment for her decaying tooth. The referring dentist had to call her office and demand a report from her to include in his records. Altogether a very bad experience. read more

In all my life, I have never been so impressed with a doctor / dentist as much as I am with Dr. Tiphanie Tran. Saying that she's sweet and sincere doesn't do her justice. The minute I even called this office requesting an appointment, all those years of being afraid of the dentist were a thing of the past, because of her well mannered & courteous staff. I was impressed right away with how Desiree, a dental assistant / receptionist for the office, assisted me with my concerns, and efficiently scheduled me to come in. The minute I met Dr. Tran, to be honest, I didn't even know she was the dentist because she is absolutely humble, and full of life. She isn't the scary, stereotypical, and empty ogre that just takes some x-rays, asks you to open your mouth, and then sends you a bill. Dr. Tran is the complete opposite!! She is so pleasant, and was a site for sore eyes, after dealing with all the horrible things I had to endure at Western Dental. All I had done today was a cleaning, and for the first time ever, I'm actually looking forward to finishing the rest of my work. I'm also bringing my children here, because after today, I wouldn't trust anyone else with any dental needs. =) This office is a diamond in the rough. Dr. Tran is who you need to see. The staff are nice. Dr. Tran is also pleasant BUT mine and my boyfriend's teeth cleaning experience was painful. Other places that clean our teeth, we can feel it was done in order but she hop from top to bottom, left to right, I'm not even sure how she kept track of which one she already cleaned. read more

This was the worst dental experience I have ever has. My first visit I arrived to the office to find the door locked. I had to wait outside for way too long and this was at 10 am which is definitely business. I came back for my first round of fillings (the insurance still needs to approve my extensive work) and what should have been am easy visit for basic fillings ended with me leaving in tears. My teeth look so much worse than they did and I am sick to my stomach because I look awful. She is rushed and has no bedside manor at all. When I told her that my bite wasn't correct as I was just hitting the teeth she has "worked on", she basically dismissed me and went off to the next patient. Before I left, I requested a treatment plan in which she had not even done yet and this was 2 weeks after my initial visit. I could not be more disappointed. Don't go to her office if you want a dentist with actual concern and not just be treated like a number, she is not the dentist for true concern. read more

I love going to Dr TRan Dentist, Ive been going here since 2001 ,Yes I agree on the other reviews Dr tran is always available when needed thats for sure she is so kind and does show she cares as a person and not as some dr for sure. She takes her time and makes sure your comfortable hen having a procedure.
