I moved to Florida and wanted to continue my Tai Chi journey; lucky for me, I found the Chinese Martial Arts Center. Master Scrima is the real deal and a great teacher. Over the years, I've had the honor of earning my black belt in 2019 and winning two Grand Champion titles at the International Chinese Martial Arts Championship--accomplishments I wouldn't have achieved without the incredible guidance and support of this school. More than just a place to train, this school is a family. I met my husband here when we were kids, and I've built lifelong friendships and connections that go beyond training. The instructor and students create an environment that pushes you to be the best version of yourself while fostering a deep appreciation for martial arts. I'm incredibly grateful to be part of such a dedicated and supportive community, and I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to grow both in skill and in character.

Shame on me for not doing enough research prior to sending them. This place is a disaster run entirely by kids. They lack proper training, level of supervision protocols, compassion, and just common sense. They need an adult in the room and sadly, there are none. The owner, Ric Martin is almost never present, has a terrible attitude if you can even get him on the phone, and is no way concerned with how to improve the overall experience for the children. The trouble here clearly starts at the top. Please do not make the same mistake I made. Send your kids to a place with a staff that is held accountable to providing an exemplary experience for your children. Your kids deserve better. Another major concern I had was safety. They do NOT check IDs when you pick up your child, so anyone can walk in and pick up any child and the "kids running the show" would have no idea. It's amazing this place hasn't had someone taken like this before, but then again, maybe it has. Not ok.
