Trying to beat all those old games I couldn't when I was young really makes me feel all those hard earned dollars my parents spent was wasted but now I'm an adult and have a slightly better advantage and I lose my own hard earned dollars. This time zone is in a good location in bgc high street. Right after or before you eat you can play here with the kids or with yourself. This location has a good selection of toys and a few karaoke booths. Only problem here is the staff is kind of slow. Lines can build up and sometimes on the busiest days they only have 2 people working with about 50 customers in the store. Games also breakdown a lot. Everytime I go here I notice there's a few games offline But still a good place to go to spend quality time with the kids

Wreck It Ralph has taught me that the arcade never gets old. There's always something for everyone,…read moreno matter what age. All of my friends are in college now, and we still like to frequent the nearest Timezone for a good time. Wherever we are, no matter which mall we find ourselves in, there will almost always be a Timezone somewhere. I guarantee it. No mall is complete without Timezone. And while we might not be as cutthroat competitive as we used to be on who earns the most tickets or who gets to purchase that giant stuff toy, we make sure to play all our favorite games to de-stress ourselves. (Except when it comes to air hockey. All bets are off. We are crazy competitive with air hockey.) Games like Mario Kart and DDR. Or my personal favorite, Silent Hill. Or whatever horror-themed game lets us shoot zombies or equally undead beings on a rampage. Then a crowd gathers around us for some reason, and we keep adding credits and reviving ourselves either until we beat the boss at the end of the game or bleed to death onscreen when we run out of tokens and can't rush to the loading station in time. Then we lose, and the realization sinks in: "Crap. We spent all that money on video games...Oh well." Timezone is fun, plain and simple. To this day, I still keep my Power Cards in my wallet.

I'm pretty sure you think archery is pretty damn cool and it's something you've always wanted to try. Hidden away in the basement level of Makati Cinema Square you will find Kondanda Archery Range, where you can do just that. Definitely a fun activity to do with friends or even a nice unique date idea if you are looking to try something new. You get an hour of as many arrows as you can shoot! They hook you up with the equipment (bow, arrow, target, arm guard, etc.) and an instructor to help you out with the basic techniques and stuff. Then they just let you fire away and have as much fun as you can! I've already gone like three times this year. It's become my go-to activity whenever relatives from abroad come over and I wanna take them out to do something fun!

Oh man, I felt like the real life Katniss! Except I would forsure die, because I take way too long…read morere-loading my arrow lol. The bows are dummy proof making it super easy to line up your arrow with appropriate markers. The instructor explained everything quite thoroughly and gave great advice for good stance and form. I was a bit confused on how many whistles meant what, but after a round or two you get the gist. It's a bit of a pain to have to keep re-racking your bow, but it makes sense as it's a safety issue. I will say that I think I got worse the longer we were there haha. After 30-40 minutes my arms also did cramp up a bit, but I'm terribly out of shape so that could just be me. My only gripe is that they kept playing slow jams which really doesn't jive with archery. It'd be cool if they played something more upbeat as if we were in an action movie or something. Then I could really get into character! In all I would definitely come back. Archery is really fun and it can get quite competitive making it a great date night or just something different to do with family or friends.

CityKartRacing - Citykart Racing is the latest fun center in Makati

I'm not too sure about their speed though because the karts that we had in the good old days were pretty fast themselves. The principle remains the same. Gas fed engines power the karts which for all intents are like small cars, but much lower. Today's kart enthusiasts are lucky that there's CityKart Racing in Makati, where the old Sta Ana race track used to stand and which is now being developed by the Ayalas into the next big commercial/residential center. In the meantime, the race track of the karts is pretty decent. My kids have gotten the karting bug for the same reason that I had it in my teen years. It's fun and feels like being on a Formula One race, but only safer. There's something about being so close to the ground traveling at relatively high speed that gets the adrenaline going. Karting can be a terrific barkada or family activity. I don't know what the plans are for the area the track now occupies, but I hope they can keep the fun activity going for years to come.

Its a bit expensive but all worth the fun. You would probably spend about Php1,000 per heat but getting through this circuit is already a good challenge. Its fun to do go karting as a cool date, bonding with friends and family, and even team building for companies and groups. If you want to take it more seriously and you're stoked from the rush of it all, they also offer some classes at their racing school and the price is all inclusive of the rental of the kart. If I had the time and money to spend on racing everyday, I think I would! Its not only thrilling but mentally challenging because you have to focus a lot and be able to make quick gauges and decisions in just a matter of seconds. Its really cool we have something like this close to where I live because its something fun and different you can do if you want to veer away from the usual eat, drink, shop scene in Makati!

I found really good ones but they were in Quezon city, a bit far from me. Fortunately, I found one that was just a few minutes away. I found out that R.O.X., a one stop shop for anything outdoors, had Rock Climbing facilities. What's great is that their shop is in the heart of the city: The Fort, and they are just in Bonifacio High St. They're literally inside a mall. How convenient! So I skedaddled to their Rock Climbing facility and signed up for a class. The thing was, there are no classes. There's just a quick briefing about the activity, plus a few tips. A few warnings and advices later, I found myself with a harness, a wall to climb, and zero experience. The coaches were very friendly and supportive. They guided me at the start and when I got the hang of it, I just found myself at the top of the wall tired and sweay. When I was done, I had climbed three walls; one easy, one intermediate, and one difficult. The learning curve for rock climbing isn't that steep. All I needed was myself, the desire to learn, and I had fun with it. Rock Climibng was a bit challenging but it was a very awesome experience for me. I really had fun traversing the walls with just my arms, legs, and a harness for safety. It's a bit expensive though, but a good price for this kind of activity (considering that the coaches also help you if you're a beginner). You might spot famous rock climbers in this place! When I went there, I had the privilege of seeing one of the female Filipinos who climbed Mt. Everest. And yes, I was very intimidated and honored at the same time.
