What a fun experience! I've never shot an arrow until I visited this place, It was a tiny bit hard to find but the staff were super helpful and friendly, they have a set of rules that prevent anyone from getting hurt while keeping it fun. The equipment is well maintained too, If I did have one complaint though is that they have only one comfort room, which makes a pretty bad experience for the next person if someone makes a mess.

Food at…read moreGandiva Cafe covers the basics; Pasta, Sandwiches, Pizza, Rice Meals, and even Burgers, all of which are vegetarian. Expect the meats to be tofu based, which is decent enough for a quick meal before an archery session, but not for a meal to enjoy. The only thing I liked was the crispy then pizza topped with a fresh assortment of vegetables. HIGHLIGHTS Thin Pizzas are decent enough. 800 peso - 1 hour unlimited Archery + Food (Pasta, Sandwich, or Burger) DISLIKES Archery Staff (lady) were not friendly and rude too some degree. Stand your ground and ignore such negative vibes, enjoy the archery experience. They should be hospitable to customers and especially to first timers, who might take up the sport. Why parents wanted me to take up either golf or archery and my experience here proves why I choose golf. Food is mediocre at best Bathroom is not maintained. FOOD 3.0 Pastas (215 to 255 PHP) were too creamy or just underwhelming in composition, it feels like a filler on the menu than actual speciality, nothing too bad, but from a foodies perspective not enjoyable. Sandwiches share the same feel with the pastas, just average, passable for quick bites, but nothing more. Mushroom Melt (205 PHP) is simply a pieces of wheat bread sliced diagonally and smothered with decent mozzarella cheese and sautéed mushrooms on top, best eaten quickly. 12-Inch Pizzas Gandiva Supreme (365 PHP) Eggplant pieces make this pizza standout. A recommended if you ever do decide to dine here.

I checked out Gandiva for a segment I was researching on a couple of years back. It was an…read moreinteresting hang-out spot to feature since it combines a special sport and vegetarian food. Here in Manila, a place like that is quite unique. Gandiva as an archery place is both exciting and scary. Holding up your bow and arrow doesn't make you feel as "astig" or "angas" as you thought it would. It was downright nerve-wracking. Gandiva's helpful staff and trainers teach you the basics though. And when you think you've got it downpat like Legolas and Katniss Everdeen, they let you "play" on your own. When you find yourself famished (which I am 1000% sure you will), you can visit their adjoining vegetarian cafe. I got to try their truffle fries and Margherita pizza. To be quite honest, the truffle fries were a bit too oily for me. Plus, nothing can ever replace potato in my life! The pizza was good though. The crust wasn't too thin and the flavors were spot on. I like my tomato sauces sour, and this one hit the jackpot! Overall, Gandiva is something you should check out even just for the novelty of it! And hey, it's a good alternative to hanging out in the mall!
