I typically do not write reviews, but my experience with the "Tram Experience" was awful and I felt that I needed to share.
The time on my boarding pass and confirmation email was for boarding at 11:50AM and departing at 12:00PM. My fiance and I arrived to the Poeleart Tram Stop around 11:15AM to allow ample time. We waited and waited and waited but the tram never showed up. Finally, around 1:00PM, we left. Needless to say we were very upset that number 1, we wasted half of our day in Brussels waiting for a tram that never showed; and number 2, that we spent so much money for a tram that never showed. I sent an email to the email address listed on the website to find out why this happened.
Later that evening, 6:55PM to be exact, I received a phone call from someone on the tram (perhaps the driver - they did not say), asking where we were. I explained the situation to him and that there was no way we could reach the tram stop by 7:00PM (that was only 5 minutes time from when I received the call). He told me that I would need to contact Visit.Brussels (which I had already done).
Since it was a Sunday, I didn't expect to get a returned email until the next day. The next day came and no response so I sent the email again. I waited until Tuesday, still no response. I managed to find a different email address so I sent an email to them, again, no response.
I reached out to STIB, the transit authority in Brussels, who are listed as a partner on the Tram Experience website. They responded quickly to my email, but only to say that I needed to contact Visit.Brussels.
It is now Friday, July 20th, 5 days after this issue, and I have received no response, not even an acknowledgement that my emails were received. At this point, I have no desire to ever consider booking anything with this company ever again. read more
