I've picked up shifts here n there at labor works since I was 18...28 now ..Every single time was the worst experience I've ever had in my life at ANY staffing agency.. but I needed the extra funds and they prey on the fact that you need the money and will treat you like you're nothing. Management only gets WORSE AND WORSE!. they all look like they're on drugs and they are extremely RUDEEE.. let's start here.. a shift will begin late night sometimes at 10 or 11pm... BUT to get the shift you will wait in line outside the labor works EARLY around like 6pm and stand there the entire time until 8/9pm when they begin checking people in.. all this time with no food drinks chairs chargers .. all UNPAID standing there to wait. & if you knock on the door to ask a question they will ignore you and threaten to DNR you.... they'll probably need about 50 people for the shift that day but they already have a list of "returners" usually around 30 people that will automatically get to work that day and don't have to wait in line... meaning 100people could stand out there all day and wait to work but only 20people will get to work! the rest too bad so sad....& this isn't even 5% of the issue with this company! Each time I swallowed my pride waited the line and worked hard and became a returner meaning I shouldn't have to waste my time standing in the line for FREE anymore because Im on the list of returners ... to get on this list you do a great job at the place they send you and THAT company will write returner next to your name when it's time to clock you out... after this Labor works is required to add you on THEIR list of names to call given by the company they have the contract with that chose who they wanted to return. But labor works is single handedly the WORST temp service in history! so OFCOURSE someone will forget to put your name on the list on THEIR END then you come there thinking you're going to get to work that day and skip the line and they NEVER call your name and there's already 100 people in line! you can't even ask the staff what the issue is! I tried to ASK respectfully and the lady hit me closing the door mid sentence. SHE NEVER ONCE CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS A MISTAKE. she just assumed I was lying cut me off said you aren't a returner you will not work today and threatened to dnr me. when I literally respectfully asked like " hey love I'm a regular with this company I am 100% a returner my name is usually waay in the ba--" and she wigged on me even raised her voice at me ...I Hadnt even seen the lady there before ever .. her teeth was black like she did meth or something (and I literally watched the boss at the place they sent me to prior who I've become close to at the location write returner by my name! he literally does it EVERYTIME he sees me at that location especially times like if I left laborworks for a long period or if he notices any mistakes on the paper he has and makes SURE to put returner by my name! because he knows I work hard I've stayed till 10am on SEVERAL OCCASIONS! )... so in other words I was turned away for NO reason at all. let's talk about PAY!! I stood in line from 6-9.. 9oclock comes you go to the location they send u to and wait in line AGAIN. 9-11pm STILL waiting in line! 11oclock comes & you finally START to get paid then 4-6am comes between these times you're either clocked out around then or almost finished with the shift for the day unless you ask for more work like I always do. The pay is only like 12$ an hour so u basically stood on your feet from 6-4am for only 50$ after tax. my shift when i stayed till 10am.. when i got my check I promise it said 84$ after tax nope not 120+ nope they took all that.. on my feet from 6PM-10am for 84$... barely had 2 breaks. just for me to come back for the next shift and be turned away at the door without reason.? I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy. THEY IGNORE THE PHONE, voicemail box full , unresponsive and disrespectful. between 3-6 pm they will give out checks. I've seen several people not get their checks or an issue with checks and they're rude solving them. u come at 6:20 and you not getting your check at all. the door locked. u can have a shift that night and youre not seeing that check until tomorrow at 3pm. They don't drug test either. They just do a breathalyzer.. labor works is terrible! The only thing that makes up for it is that the places they send you are okay.. except paycor don't even waste your time there you'll thank me later. Sometimes they can be strict or rude and will just leave you outside standing there to find out you can't even work after all of that. UNPAID WASTE OF TIME! I can see if you're on drugs or fighting a case n stuff and working there. but this place is NO place for a professional or someone looking for a professional work environment. they dont care!

Kiva recommended a different place from where I had originally applied to because it fit my criteria significantly better, and helped coach me on my interview so I felt confident and prepared going in. Arranged an appointment with Chris. My daughter did not feel comfortable with him. On the first visit he mandated that my daughter attend outpatient therapy 3 times a week from 6pm to 8:30pm at their facility. My daughter only went there for depression, mild depression. Therefore we arranged an appointment with Nina (same practice).After two visits with Nina she MANDATED THAT MY DAUGHTER ATTEND therapy sessions 3 times a week for 4 weeks. We attended one sessions but because we didn't attend 3 times a week for 4 weeks she dropped my 15 year daughter as a client. On the Monday meeting we were with kids who had attempted suicide ( not speaking badly about this children). But my daughter was going to see Nina because she had mild depression. Nina dropped my daughter as a client. Sent me an email saying we should go to Restart. Getting an email from a therapist saying all future appointments have been canceled. It's very traumatic for 15 year-old after she was developing a relationship with Nina.. why would I arrange an appointment with a therapist to talk to my child and then we are MANDATED to go to their sessions three times a week for four weeks from 6 PM to 830 if you don't do what they say they drop you as a client and cancel all of your appointments Do not go there. My 15-year-old daughter diagnosed Nina as passive aggressive see below read the reviews. Do not go there. Hi This looks like a past email. I've found this to be a very reliable service and mostly professional. Lots of young people, some with good work ethic and some without but definitely more good than bad. The bad one are REALLY bad. I hate using the term ghetto so let's just call them "hood"! Really hood! I have a good one in mind who was a ray of positivity and still sends me positive text messages to this day! She hasn't worked at my site in almost 2 years! On a different note- my wife used to work here and if it wasn't for this place staffing her at a site I used to work at, we would have never met!
