Beware: They have wording in the contract that will SCAM you out of more money, when they do nothing to earn it. They claim to be about the Veteran, but truthfully only care about getting Paid. Worst decision I've made was to use this company. They went from not getting anything, to not only getting their fee but an extra 25% because the VA made a mistake. They call it a "CUE" and it was only because the VA mistake that they were getting any money at all, but because of this "CUE" they believe they are entitled to more of YOUR deserved disability. SCAM!!!!! Please, my military brothers and sisters. Do not use this company. If you need help with a claim with the V.A, contact the Disabled Veterans of America (DAV). Their services are free. They are amazing! They will keep in contact with you along the process and keep you up to date. They accomplished things for me that would never have happened through VCP. The DAV is compassion motivated not profit motivated. They do take donations. If you are able, send them something. I make it a habit now. If you are ever conned by someone, don't forget to let people know. We have to look out for each other. There is Yelp, and the Better Business Bureau. please contact them. Now, the rest of the story: I responded to an ad sent by Vet Comp & Pen (VCP) in the summer of 2019. I was at that point rated at 10%, (non-compensation able) with the V.A. and had been for 22 years, as I told VCP. They assisted me in sending the wrong forms to the V.A.. The V.A. told my Senators office that VCP had sent forms for a new claim, my claim was 22 years old. The V.A. did nothing, as the incorrect forms were submitted, as I was told. I received no correspondence from VCP ever again. I have this well documented. I, would call VCP and they would tell me that I had to wait for the V.A.. They told me that I was supposed to get a letter from the V.A. and to call VCP when I did. I never did get a letter from the V.A. concerning the claim that VCP had filed. They did nothing to follow up as to the why I had not received a letter. I did, I kept calling the V.A, they said they would send a letter. They never did. VCP did nothing to help me obtain a letter, or anything for that matter. I was waiting for them to do what they had contracted to do, but they breached their contract and I never heard from them again, until... After no correspondence with VCP for months, in the winter of 2019, I was frustrated with VCP's breach of contract and contacted my Senator, the Honorable Marco Rubio. His staff went to work on this issue immediately. They were wonderful. They called me, they sent me email updates. I documented all of this. Spectacular effort! Marco Rubio's team was told by the V.A., that what had happened was the wrong information was given to the V.A, through Vet Comp and Pen (VCP) on the wrong forms. My claim was not a new claim. Thus, no claim was filed through VCP. VCP had failed to do their job, as contracted. Breach of contract. If VCP had done their job they would have been told the same thing that the Senators staff was told. But, they didn't. There was no interest or effort by VCP in submitting my claim properly. This brings us to early 2020. Nothing still to be heard from VCP. Nothing! The Senators team corrected the mistake that was made by VCP. I attended many doctor visits throughout the year that were scheduled by the V.A, as they addressed the claim that was submitted by Senator Rubio's staff. There was no correspondence from VCP to obtain these office visits, still. They take control of your "ebenefits page". They have access to what is happening and could have been involved had they had any interest. Breach of contract. It was a long year, with many doctors. I obtained a handicapped parking placard to assist with these visits. Oh, and there was covid. Terrible year. As the Senators team worked with the V.A.. I was awarded a settlement with the V.A to the claim submitted by me through Senator Rubio's office, in March of 2021. I was instructed to reprocess my claim for additional medical issues through the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), by the Senators office, which I did. The Disabled American Veterans helped me fill out some more of the claim forms and I was awarded an additional upgrade, in April 0f 2021. I am in bad shape, physically. I would rather have my health. At this point, June 2021, I am receiving my settlement. Everything is good, thank you Senator Marco Rubio and the DAV!!! It has been almost 2 years since I have heard anything from VCP. Nothing. They have not called me or emailed me. No correspondence. Breached contract. Done. Nope! The other day they sent me an invoice for payment due of nearly $10,000.00 in fees? They want to get paid for the work that Senator Rubio and the DAV did. They even want to be paid for the second upgrade in status. Incredible! They drop a case and expect to be paid for someone else work? I am curious what Mr. Rubio would think of this? I think I will ask him. Please remember!!! This company is complete garbage. They are now called Trajector Medical. I did business with them last year and completely regret it. They did my PTSD package and I told them I wanted to do non-combative PTSD but they kept insisting that it MUST be combative PTSD. I did have that, but no actual evidence to support my claim. So they sent it in anyway. The VA sent me a letter saying that the claim will be denied if I don't send evidence. I called the company and they said we will wait till it gets denied. (It's a longer process to appeal the decision if it gets denied.) So I did my homework and research and did everything myself but went the non-combative PTSD route. I set up my own appointments, got medication, saw a therapist twice a week, all the while the company sat on their ass waiting. I got approved 70% and did not tell the company, I let them sit there till they called me congratulating me on my 70% and requesting that I pay them almost $8,000. Now, the illegal part about that, is that they went into my ebenefits account without my permission to see if I had a percentage increase. To this day, they still harass me about paying off the debt when I gave them a plethora of chances to rectify the issue. DO NOT engage with this trash of a company. I was told about Vet Comp and Pen from a friend who got great results from them. I however did not maybe it was the people working on my case. Vet Comp and Pen submitted one claim on my behalf which was denied (for Sleep Apnea). They never got me an increase what so ever. They referred me to a law firm (Veteranclaims.com) which actual got my claim push through. I have ask them to provide me with a list of all the claims that they have submitted on my behalf. They sent me a form wanting more money to provide me a copy of what they did. They have charged me $7712.89 for a service that I had to keep asking what they are doing since they only filed one claim on my behalf which was denied. I would be really careful with going with them for they really did nothing on my case but referred me to the Law office. Now I understand they need to get paid. They have charged me 5 months Medical Consulting Fee at $6357.80, 10% Retro Fee at $1355.09. I under stand the 10% but not the 5 Months Medical Consulting Fee. When I signed up with them I was told but there people that if I got with them I would have to pay the 5 months Medical Consulting Fee which I was ok with but this was on the bases that they would get me an increase. I was at 60% when I agreed to this. I have submitted paperwork on my own and I was able to get myself up to 90% and Vet Comp and Pen did NOTHING to get me there; but they changed full price... They got me 0% for my disability. Then they sent me to an appeals attorney to try and appeal the VA's decision. That appeals attorney was able to get me 50% VA disability. They charged me over $9000 to do so. Then this company who got me 0% sent me an invoice For over $9000. I have contacted their supervisor in the invoicing department and he told me that if I don't pay the $9000 they would not continue to try and help me with my service disability. It's been two months since I talk to him and no documentation has been sent to me I tried again today and he will not except my call. I am currently unemployed because of my service disability. I was able to take the money the other firm was able to get for me and purchase a service dog. After 30 years, I'm finally starting to fit in. STAY AWAY!!!! VC&P Website and Emails sound as they will do everything, and you just have to sit back and get your disability pay. FALSE! After you have signed your life away, grant access to your eBenifits account and POA for them to go in your medical records at their pleasure, they got you. First you will fill out a computer generated health assessment, with that information, they cut and paste a 21-0966 that YOU have to upload to the VA, YOU have to coordinate medical appointments with VA. If there is an issue, it is YOU that have to deal with it, not them. I filed at the end of September and it was rejected for lack of evidence, I sought VC&P help to address this issue for three weeks. No response to my multiple emails and voicemails. When I finally got an email response, I wrote that I have lost confidence on their ability to handle my case and that I did not require their services anymore. I received and apologetic email and that they were closing my case. End of story right? WRONG!! Once my claim was declined, I wrote and submitted a claim for Desert Storm Syndrome without their involvement whatsoever. In March VA notified me that my disability was increased by 30%, good news, right? Not even 48 hrs pass before VC&P sends me a congratulations email and a bill for over $ 6,000!! I have been going back and forth for the last month proving to them that what I was awarded had nothing to do with their subpar company's " Help" and that they were FIRED Back in November. Oh, I also received $1600 bill for 5 month of legal services, I do not know much Math, but from the end of September when I signed the agreement to the beginning of November when I fired them, does not total 5 months. Special Note: If you notice that VC&P reviews in BBB were receiving all 5 Stars until early last year, since then most of them are 1 Star. This company is a scam. They will make several promises and then let you fall through the cracks and you won't hear anything from them again until their accounting department realizes that they haven't collected any money and then they will start calling and emailing you almost daily harassing you for payment even after you prove that they did not do their job, they still demand payment. THIS COMPANY TARGETS VETERANS AND THEN RIPS THEM OFF! Vcp got me to sign an agreement for payment and then after sending a couple pieces of paper to forward to the VA I didn't hear from them again until NINE MONTHS LATER. I called and left two messages no return calls until NINE MONTHS LATER. Since then they call, text and email everyday harassing me about money they didn't earn. Vcp left me hanging for NINE MONTHS and didn't bother to get in touch with me until they realized that they could get money from me through threats even though they didn't do their job! read more

VETS PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! These guys are vultures!! They claim to help vets. The VA already gave me a rating and put me into a program. The only issue with the VA, is that they said it wasn't service connected to try to "help" so I wouldn't lose certain benefits to my job. Vet Comp and Pen, instead said that my original rating was over the top, which would have resulted in a lower claim. Basically, they said I was not eligible for even what the VA had already rated me at. They made me go BACK to Afghanistan to try and get a real rating. read more

After being promise an increase from 40 to 80% and an average timeframe of 6 months to get it done, they helped me get to 60% and took 10 months to do so. Had very hard time getting updates from them during the process until it was time to pay them for doing only half the work they promised. read more

They have been real helpful after having one law firm for 18 months and then they excused themselves from my 2 appeals and left me out to dry and then I had another law firm look at my 2 appeals for 3 months then told me that they couldn't help me, I've only been with this company 2 weeks and I have spoken with them more times than the 2 previous law firms put together and everyone that I have spoke with has been courteous and polite, they were referred to me by another Vet and he couldn't say enough good things about them so I decided to take the chance as I been fighting the VA since 2013 and I would highly recommend them just based on their customer service read more

It has been a cumulation of things over the years. One of the things that bothered me was getting an email or voicemail multiple times saying I had 12-24 hours to fax something. I work shift work and I may not see that message right away, so I had a truly short amount of time to get that done so the logistics was horrible for me. At first Vet Comp & Pen was very attentive and helpful but then it seemed I was just another number for them. When I first received help from Vet Comp & Pen they were helpful through the processes and I even had a case go through and rating increase in about a month which was the fastest I experienced dealing with the VA. They helped me increase my rating from 70% to 90% and after that Vet Comp & Pen would say "we are working on another strategy for you" and months would go by and boom one day I would have about 8 hours to mail or fax something they waited till the day before it was due to notify me to complete the task. The second thing that bothered me was the fact that I would call or email and get "crickets" then 2-4 weeks later I might get a reply email. There have been times I call the number on the email that was sent from Vet Comp & Pen and the number did not even work. I aske them about different strategies and ways to submit my claim but they would never respond to that, the reason why I asked is because I had medical documents from my civilian doctor but its like they just ignored all that stuff and went with another strategy. I thought to myself why they would not want to use a nexus letter or have my doctor fill out a DBQ or even a buddy letter because everything helps. Overall, I had a good experiences and horrible experiences. I decided to go another direction because of the bad experiences I had with Vet Comp & Pen because there are other companies like this that help veterans. I gave them 2 stars because of the bad experiences I have had over the years overshadowed the good they did for me. Everyone will have a different experience this is just my unique experience and I feel an honest review of this company is warranted. read more
