My resume "intake form" must have been about 7-10 pages long- a random stream of consciousness... everything from my previous work experience, what I thought my new career would like, stuff that mattered, stuff that didn't... Jillian combed through all that mess, plucked out the most relevant strengths and formulated the most beautifully articulate sentences out of them. It is as if she could read my messy mind and spit it out as a masterpiece! She is extremely bright, detail-oriented, articulate, and experienced. When I asked her opinion, she gave me thoughtful answers that were spot on- she's an expert, yet gentle and supportive in her suggestions. I am extremely high maintenance with a ton of requests- the fact Jillian worked with me seemingly effortlessly really says something about her customer service. I would recommend her to anyone in need of resume, cover letter, or LinkedIn. THANK YOU JILLIAN!!

Soon to complete Product Manager Certification…read more Some of the successful people getting their certification from Product School drove me to this school. I was not sure what to expect, but from the beginning they knocked it out of the park. I joined the 2 month course from January 2023. Live classes were very interactive. Met bunch of new people and worked with them to complete a project was very helpful instead of just reading for the certification. The only thing I was not happy about is they cancelled the exam to get certified as a PM. Now you just have to complete the project and class to get certification. Hope they change this soon. Our instructor "Ronke" was amazing. She shares wonderful insights from her experience as a successful Product manager. She is very inspirational and always upbeat. Her knowledge that she shares with the class is unparalleled. As an aspiring PM she makes sure you know exactly what you would face in the real life.

It turned out our Web Designer received the best WP service through a one-on-one session with Terry. Then I started my own small business and needed some tricks and techniques with WP although I know the basic WP via work experience. So, I signed up for a one-on-one session with Terry to understand the entire WP and work on it the right way. I got all the information that I needed. Awesome! He taught many simple tricks and fixed many problems with your WP along the way. Even after the session is over, he doesn't mind answering questions to fix any issues. Terry has the patience to teach people from different age groups. It's easy to learn from an instructor like him. Try it to believe it! Highly recommended! The one-on-one session is probably the best. However, if you want to join with other friends or professionals, you can sign-up for a group session.

I studied at Shillington NYC. I can't thank my teachers and the institute enough for what they…read morehave given me. It is truly a major accomplishment for Shillington to come up with an incredibly effective and life-changing program that is on par with other four-year college degrees. I was recently invited for interviews at 5 different design graduate programs, and the majority of my portfolio pieces submitted for the application had been projects done at Shillington. Getting this graduate program success wouldn't have been possible without Shillington, my teachers, and Andrew Shillington who dedicate their time to help all the students in making their future! The advice and recommendations I got at Shillington will always be valuable to me as I move forward to another chapter of my life.

Plain and simple, Shillington changed my life in the best way possible…read more I always loved art and creative "stuff", but never thought I could make my passion into a career. After graduating college with a BS in Advertising from Syracuse University, I got a job in NYC at an ad agency as an account exec. While it was an incredible place to work, I felt that something was missing. I realized that the best part of my days were when I got to sit with my creative team or go to brainstorms. It became clear that I needed to go with my gut and try something new. I looked into every single program in New York (and some outside of the city) and found generally only two options, neither of which would work for me. The first was a 2-3 year graduate program at a university like NYU, Parsons, FIT, etc which were way too costly and too big of a time commitment. The second option was one-off classes for continuing education, which seemed more for people who felt like dabbling in an interest of theirs on the side. Not intense enough for me. Then, I found Shillington and I thought...this honestly must not be real. I hadn't seen anything like it. It was literally everything I wanted to learn... in only three months. Turns out it is very real and was hands down the best decision I have ever made in my life. I will not sit here and say it was a walk in the park. It was definitely hard work, but the more you push yourself, the more likely you are to graduate with a portfolio that looks like you went to school for four years. The teachers, all practicing graphic designers, are some of the most incredible people I have ever met. They are talented designers and more importantly, they are passionate about teaching in a way that will help you develop your own style. I can easily say I learned more from my Shillington teachers in 3 months than I ever did from any of my professors in college. The course is set up perfectly so that even if you have never touched a Mac in your life, you can succeed. After having no experience with Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator, I am now sitting in front of a massive Mac desktop as a Graphic Designer for an awesome ad agency in NYC working on cool brands like Nike, BMW, LG, Hennessy, and more. Somebody smack me!!!! If it isn't clear already, Shillington is unbelievable and I do not think there is anything out there like it. DO IT!

Traffic Club, also known as Traffic Toastmasters, has a welcoming, supportive, action based learning environment, that is really focused on me growing to become a confident public speaker and leader. Immediately after joining Traffic, I was assigned projects to get me started. The VP of ED (Jorge G.) and my assigned mentor (Joanne T.) took a vested interest in me, addressed concerns (aka FEARS) that I had, and allowed me to design a fast track development program to reach my goals. Each meeting is held in a structured professional manner and the immediate feedback received from club members regarding each speech and task performed, helped me perfect my approach. Within a few months, by the time I gave my 3rd speech, members told me that my confidence had grown ten-fold, and that I had acquired such great stage presence. When I joined, communication and leadership track instructional manuals were sent to me via the mail. The manuals contain project modules that focus on developing a certain characteristic, -- e.g., vocal variety, persuasion, greeting new comers, Meeting MC (Toastmaster), etc. -- providing details on how to make each characteristic strong and impactful. There are different roles to play that develops a different characteristics at each meeting. Every attendee is incorporated into the meeting in some way or fashion -- including the guests! Anyone interested in learning how to speak and lead with confidence, I definitely suggest they visit Traffic Toastmasters. It worked wonders for me, increasing my comfort level in speaking off the cuff -- it will work wonders for you too.
