Half convenience store, half deli. I came in for a simple sandwich with my friend…read more If you're ordering food, look for the neon sign in the back. We missed it and stood in the convenience store line until we figured out out. Note: You then pay in that line anyway. Beyond that experience, everything worked well. They have a fast assembly line, cranking out hot chicken cutlets for whoever so orders, so you won't be waiting long. (btw I don't believe Boars Head is great quality food. But it's everywhere. Hence the hot order.) Good quantities for the price, keep in mind they will add tax before ringing you up at the counter. With other foods like quesadillas and 24/7 operation, I'll give the deli a solid 4 stars should you find yourself on 9A.

Remarkably, nothing has changed: THIS SHOP/Market is very CLEAN the shop is well lit and you would be hard-pressed to find dust on anything. Shelves are well stocked as are the reach in coolers stocked with grab and go take out items. PRICES are reasonable considering the quality. I picked up freshly ground chuck for $7.99/lb which is just slightly more expensive than mega supermarket chains with questionable sell-by dates. PANTRY items weave in and out, beckoning to take them home. (I DID). SYSTEMS are really great. after your selection at the butcher, they assign you a basket # so you can shop with both hands free. This is a well organized order and pick up system; if you need fresh meats, head to the back, past the enormous freezer selection of ravioli, manicotti, and other Italian specialties. SERVICE: you are immediately greeted by friendly staff ( this reminds me of the Japanese culture of greeting every patron immediately. A very nice feeling ( clever also; once you are greeted so warmly, you are compelled to shop.) I'm so pleased to have made a little detour on my way home
