My new trailer from Tru Trailer. The home of the locally owned Trailer Company that knows what us local folks like.
Steven R.

These guys suck. Drove down there with the intent to buy a trailer and the gate was locked and waited a few for someone to come to the gate. He stated it was by appointment only. So let me get this straight. One has to make a appointment to look around to find a trailer to buy? Well. My wife found another place across the Highway. Tru Trailer. We talked to Cody and went there. And $10.500 later drove off with our brand new trailer. Trailer plus you guys are lame and lost a sale. How's that for a appointment? Lmao

Their trailers and tires are junk! Tires are a safety hazard, these tires started cupping from the first haul and continue to worsen to the point of blowing out! You'll pay top dollar for crap! You'll deal with incompetence at every level. They have no backing by the BBB and you must go thru locked gates(which are locked as soon as you pull thru) to view or buy anything on the lot. These gates are locked I'm sure because there's a lot of folks that get pissed at their games! Or there's something other than trailer sales happening here. Their great when you want to buy, but warranty on a new trailer or tire issues on a new trailer, they don't want anything to do with you! You must have an appointment and they will message three times to confirm! The product is crap, the staff is shifty, I have had nothing but a huge hassle with the warranty and their defective product. I bought this model in November 2021 and today am picking it up for the fourth time for warranty issues that they have kept trying to put a bandage on, (and again today tried to put another bandage on a part they stripped, using just one laying around the shop not getting the right part, didn't fly)never truly fixing the issue, until I could prove over 6 months with photos, measurements (hoops they made me jump thru, no investigation on their end, kinda like, Prove it!)and all the time I've done on my end to prove to trailers plus and carry-on(the manufacturer) that there is a huge safety issue with their piss poor design! My biggest complaint is their piss poor warranty and following thru with quality work! They get so many people involved(that don't have customer service skills, multiple phones numbers that you can never reach a human at, don't return calls, refer you to the manufacturer) that won't help you or take responsibility for their product they hope you'll go away! They have a HUGE design issue on their Patriot model and the dealer and the manufacturer(carryon) really don't care that you purchased their unsafe, hazardous trailer, so if I were you, I'd look elsewhere, your headaches won't be worth it! My next stop Monday morning is with our attorney( he has been following along for 6 months with this, telling us to try and let them right the issue first)so save yourself, do your homework, these trailers are CRAP! They'll run you around til you get so mad or frustrated you'll move on!

Here are the repair pictures that they did on my trailer. Didn't replace the wood (which is stressed) and did a horrible welding job. These trailers and to support from this company are horrible. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.... I emailed them these pictures and have had zero follow up. The trailer I bought says its rated for 4800 lbs the machine I haul is 2000 lbs. Less than half the capacity and it keeps breaking and Trailers Plus will not even return my call. Covid-19 or not this is horrible business practices. Steer clear of this place...

Super good experience at this trailer's plus location. Brandon and Logan both helped us. Brandon was our sales guy and Logan helped us on the phone and set up and appointment and helped the guys in the back hook up the trailer to our Jeep. I really liked Brandon because my husband and I have both been in sales our whole adult lives and he literally did not try to upsell us and just gave us the facts. All the guys also knew a lot about the trailers capacities etc. which was nice because we didn't know a lot about trailers. They had a decent amount of inventory. We went in and picked one out and got it hooked up all same day. I felt bad cause they hooked it all up in 90+ degree weather. 10/10 recommend. I would also like to say that my grandpa has been driving with a trailer for years and the tires on them (unless you upgrade) are always basic. Buy a spare and know your load capacity. That's not the fault of the company if yours goes flat on your journey. Also they are by appointment only, so set up an appointment and the gate will be unlocked and they'll have the inventory information pulled. Happy travels!

Shopping for a trailer! The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Michael helped us with this trailer purchase. Con-internet was down and could not take the trailer home the same day. Plus went towing make sure to bring the necessary towing vehicle otherwise you can not haul the trailer home. "Hook ups for lights and brakes" for towing. Beside that great staff. Thanks for my purchase!

Nice trailer. Better build quality than most. Reasonable wait times considering the current demand.

We shopped Central California from Fresno to Bakersfield and the central coast, stopping at about a dozen dealers, as well as searching the internet. We discovered the best deal, service, and availability in our own backyard, at Tru-Trailers Manufacturing in Fresno. A multi-generation family owned and operated business for over 40 years, with friendly, respectful, outstanding customer service, top of the line products manufactured on site (as well as representing others), fair prices and a decent inventory prompted us to purchase the two trailers there. They even custom painted them to match our home's granite and the wife's car, at no extra cost (battleship gray)! We came away completely satisfied, believing that Tru-Trailers are truly true trailers, and everything else is a knockoff. Happy hunting! David

After…read morelooking at a lot of utility trailers locally, and not finding what we were looking for, my husband and I decided to pay them a visit. Boy am I glad we did! The customer service was EXCELLENT. The manager, Chris, could not have provided better service. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient as we asked questions. We visited on a Saturday and he was the only salesperson working. That being said, he handled multiple customers at the same time, giving each of us the attention we needed and allowing us to browse the lot and inspect the trailers alone when we wanted to do that. Once we selected a trailer the staff went over it to insure there were no unseen problems. We forgot our light converter (7 way to 4 flat) and Chris hooked us up with one from his well supplied parts shop. Another staff member handled the paperwork and we rolled out with the trailer we came in to purchase, at the price we wanted to pay. The business is clean with free beverages (hot and cold) and nice restrooms. We mentioned the previous bad reviews we read on Yelp to Chris. He explained the ownership/management changed in early 2015 and "Eric" and most of his staff no longer worked there. My husband and I are thankful we decided to pay Jacobsen a visit and we suggest you visit Jacobsen too. When you do, tell Chris his friends Laura and Rob say Hello.

Although there was no "can i help you?", I explained my phone conversation with a fellow earlier. The person behind the screen, while never even looking up at us looked down at the broken part in our hands and commented that they didn't have this. I did earlier explain the part, read the printed description to the fellow on the phone confirmed he had this common part. I was told by the person behind the counter that he had this ($10.00 dollar part) in a kit for $60.00....period. After explaining my confirmation call he began to name different names of people who worked there, probably 5 or 6 in a very condescending way. My mechanic who was with me and I just looked at each other in disbelief, thanked them for their time and left. I'm a business owner and immediately recognized customer service that will cause this business to fail. Thankfully we found another trailer shop via Yelp and although they were mainly repair they took care of our needs. I'll not ever recommend Jacobsons parts department to anyone.

Then about 7:30 PM, Clary used his girlfriend's phone to send my fiancee a vulgar text wanting to know who the "f***" I am. Anyway, thanks for getting him to remove those panels. I have cancelled my code enforcement complaint. The only thing I know about this company is based upon my neighbor, Doug Clary, who works for them. He is well known in our neighborhood as a loud-mouthed, vulgar, anti-social drunk. This past Friday, 11/2/2018, Doug Clary drove a CVTR work truck home, loaded with discarded partitions, approximately 8 feet by 3 feet. He then used those partitions to erect a barrier between our house in violation of Clovis Municipal Code 9.24.060. I can only assume the business allowed him to use the work truck to get rid of these unsightly partitions. I have pictures of the partitions and the work truck. I have reported him to the Clovis Code Enforcement office. Is this how this company disposes of their trash?
