Great trailer really helpful people. Took a little long to do paper work and the Welds are not the prettiest but there strong and I am very happy with the trailer. Holds big sandcars no problem. I will be back for sure. Great price. Without having to drive far. Anyone In Ventura County looking for a trailer save the drive come here first. Thank you guys for taking care of us...

He stated that he was taking over for his Dad, of the same name, who had since retired. Even though I didn't need service at that time, I finally agreed to allow him to pack the wheel bearings on our fifth wheel trailer. When he showed up to do the work, he asked me for an advice so he could buy parts, since his Uncle's trailer parts store in Ventura required him to pay cash. That was one of three cash advances over the next three days as the job kept expanding. I allowed him to completely replace all of the brakes and bearings on our 5th wheel Solitude. Cost was $2,450. Cash.During our first trip out there was zero braking even though I tried setting the gain up to 10. After that I tried another trip just to get some miles on the rig to break in the brakes and still no noticeable braking. I then contacted David, and he stated that the brakes are "pre adjusted" from the factory but maybe he should have checked them, but that he would come and take a look at it the next morning at 10 AM. I had the rig ready for him to be worked on the next morning, but he never showed up. I tried calling him that day, as well over the next several days. He never answered the phone. I continued over the next six months, never answered the phone. I am a 78-year old veteran, and even though I still love to camp, I am unable to work on my rig. I had other service try to adjust the brakes but they were never safely functional. After two cancelled trips I finally had a reputable RV shop replace all of the bearings and brakes at a cost of $2300. They worked perfectly after being completely replaced by H&H in Saticoy. Recently, David has coerced Yelp to remove all of the negative reviews concerning his past behavior. My review from 2024 is one of them. I am re-posting it here because my terrible experience hasn't changed: Note: The multiple other negative Yelp reviews that were also removed shared the same experiences of services not rendered, or not done properly.

Cruise America - The battery under the hood. Really safe, right?!

Beware! Stay clear of this establishment for your rental needs…read more.. We rented a Motorhome from The Cruise America Fillmore, California location. We had nothing but issues with the motorhome: 1. Both batteries drained and died due to the converter being broken leaving us stranded in Washington 2. Our 22 hour drive with a terrible sewage smell b/c we came to find out it was never dumped. Both Black and Gray were full even though the owner stated they were dumped (lies) 3. The battery had extreme corrosion (photos are in the notes at Cruise America). We were told we had to clean it to give us a little more help. 4. The interior was falling apart 5. The motorhome was in need of a front and rear wheel alignment making it difficult to drive 6. The generator wouldn't turn over...it didn't work. We couldn't use it. We felt completely unsafe and had great difficulty finding the help we needed on the road. When we were stranded we called the Cruise America hotline. We spoke with: 1. Kayla (hung up on my husband) 2. James (the "supervisor" who is completely incompetent in his job) belittled our intelligence. He claimed his knowledge was working at O'Rileys Auto Parts made him the know all. He said there is no way both batteries could die....well they did.....At this time we had a licensed Motorhome Auto-mechanic who was nice enough to help us diagnose the issue (Bradley's Mobile RV Repair out of Idaho...you have their info since they invoiced you and shared photos and diagnostics). James was Rude and gave the silent treatment to Bradley when he told him the diagnostics. He completely ignored what he said and Bradley had to further press the situation and Cruise America said just jump the battery and made us drive to an O'Rileys. Because Bradley was not given the authorization his hands were tied. He jumped the battery and went back to Idaho. Note: we needed a converter not a battery and Bradley could have fixed it right then and there. Upon arriving at O'Rileys...The assistant manager Izzy (who was wonderful) helped us and diagnostics came back same as before. The batteries, the starter, and Alternator was working at 100percent. At that moment I called back AGAIN and got... 3. David: semi helpful but also lied to us in saying he called Bradley back after the cluster thus far and he was returning with the part from Camping World. I had to call Bradley who said he wasn't coming back and didn't answer their calls. So the "Bradley will be back" was a lie. We called back AGAIN... 4. Christine: finally we were getting somewhere but we had to purchase a battery trickle charge and stay in the dark to get us to our next destination. 5. Caito: was the best! She listened and wished we started with her because this wouldn't have escalated this far. Caito tried to get us another repair shop to come and she couldn't find anyone She was hoping to find someone the next day Unfortunately, we had to leave between 5 and 6AM. She tried to find us somewhere in Oregon and successfully did but we didn't make it to Oregon by the time they closed. She did also check on us, but we were again forced to use the trickle charge and hope and pray it worked to get us home. Our trip was ultimately ruined and we got little to no support! Caito, Christine, and David said we could further discuss a refund once the motorhome was back in Fillmore. Caito said a refund is warranted from our ordeal. When returning the Motorhome to Fillmore, the gentlemen/owner was defensive and accusatory as if we were lying. Actually acted very much like James. He refused any conversation regarding a refund. And wouldn't accept his motorhome was problematic or there was lack of care at his establishment for his rigs. We tried to reach Caito again today and were told to call back after 4. We did and got another young lady who wasn't helpful. I didn't catch her name. She said since we turned in the vehicle there is no way to see our dialogue and problems. Also said the only person to give us a refund is the owner in Fillmore. He wouldn't. Never once did David, Christine or Cairo say the only person to give a refund was only the Fillmore man. She also said there is no human or department to help us now. What kind of customer service is that? We were told we were warranted a refund. We deserve a refund. I also would like to add we were traveling with two young children (aged 5 and 1). These conditions were downright unsafe and my children's lives were put in a bad situation. You basically left us to fend for ourselves. I even requested a new vehicle or other means of transportation and that wasn't a go. I sat on hold numerous times listening to your advertisement stating we would be safe in your vehicle. You were wrong! We will never use Cruise America again! Also, we have initiated a complaint with the BBB.

I asked about the controls on the dash and he replied I don't know what they do. He told me that he got the boat from a friend that didn't want to repair it because it needed a new starter. He mentioned that because its necessary to remove the whole engine to reach the starter, that they sold it to him and he had replaced the starter and placed it for sale one his lot. Come to find out two years laster, this is not true. It's actually very simple to replace the stater. I know as I had to remove it myself due to it failing. Either this was a very cheap starter he that completely remove the engine to install, or installed a used starter that has now failed. Not to mention the retread tires on the trailer. Very cheap purchase boats poorly reconditioned and sold overpriced. However he was very friendly and helped register the boat for me when they would not accept it at AAA.

Nick's Mobile came through when I needed it most…read more I was at Bonelli Bluffs the weekend before Halloween and my new trailer suddenly lost shore power. Not the kind of problem you want to deal with on a trip. I called Nick and he responded right away. He made time to come out the same day. He diagnosed the issue quickly and knew exactly what was wrong. The automatic transfer switch had failed. Instead of delaying the repair, he tracked down the part himself, picked it up, and came back to install it. That level of effort matters when you are on a tight timeline. The repair was clean and professional. Power was restored and my entire weekend was back on track. What could have been a ruined trip turned into a great one. He did not stop there. He worked through the warranty process and made sure the repair was covered. I ended up fully reimbursed by the manufacturer. That saved me money and a lot of hassle. Nick goes above and beyond. He is responsive, knowledgeable, and committed to taking care of his customers. If you need mobile RV service, this is the guy to call. Nick if you see this, I truly apologize for such a late review. During the process there was some wood that was jacked up around the fridge where it anchors to the cabinets. I'm not overly picky just like bare minimums for my rig..but I wasn't thrilled because the fridge didn't stand straight. Nonetheless Nick said whether it was like that before or from his install he'd handle it next time around. Welp 7 months later my roof is leaking, I found again for roof leak repairs and he quoted, came out in a couple days, had it worked up, threw a little extra seal along the roof gutter that came off at material cost only..and he honored what he said from 7 months prior by finding pieces to anchor the fridge while doing the roof work at no extra charge. Additionally, I found a small leak from a clamp when using the hot water heater and he stopped by the campground on 24 hour notice and found the origin of the leak and fixed that for me quickly too (no charge). I'm happy with his response to the previous issue and quick turnaround time and will use him for quite a few other projects moving forward!
