I've dealt with Trail Appliances in Calgary and Red Deer for many years. Bought at least a dozen pieces over the years. We bought a dishwasher for our rural home. Got it installed by our plumber. It ran the first time and then we couldn't get it to run again. LG and Trail both told me that I need to get someone in to look after it. All I wanted was for them to send someone - at my expense even - but neither of them were interested in helping me out. I am very disappointed in Trail and will take my business elsewhere. read more

Open on sundays ... only if you want to buy something new. Drove 2 hours in a snowstorm my only day off to get a replacement part for our dryer... to find that the parts department is not open and of the staff members there part and part number model number serial number no one would even attempt to help us find the part we needed. We spent 8000$ on a kitchen set of appliances, and also paid for installation. The purchasing experience was good. The salesman wasn't very knowledgeable but friendly and came down a small amount on the price for us. The issue was with the installation guy. Extremely rude, foul person and complete disregard for customer service, literally told me off when he encountered a small challenge installing the oven vent. He didn't complete the install even though I was charged for it, he left half way through the job. I reached out to TA and they forgot I even existed after they got my money. Don't shop here if you expect decent customer service. Edit, the cupboard was removed due to instruction from TA at time of purchase! All the installer had to do was re install it, 5 extra minutes! $8000 dollars spent and they couldn't finish the install. I reached out to TA multiple times since the partial install with no response. Edit: At time of purchase I was instructed to remove the old vent and cabinet so the new microwave/vent would fit. I live in Stettler AB about an hour drive from Red Deer. Needed a part for our gas stove. Went to Trail Appliance parts area with stove make and model to get part. Was informed needed the serial number so on another trip in had serial number but the parts department did not have the part so I paid for it ($112.00) and they ordered it in for me. Went in on a Friday after work and Trail was open but not the parts area and they were not able to get the part for me even though it was prepaid. Said they could mail it to me for a $10 charge to save me another trip in for this part, even though this was my third trip in. I was not made aware the parts area hours were not the same as Tail Appliances. The attitude and service was extremely poor. Will get my part I guess when I am next in Red Deer and never use this store again. read more

Awful business and terrible customer service. If you don't want a double hole drilled in your floor for a simple water line install, and told to put sawdust and tape over it to repair it, or a cheap patch on it - then I suggest you don't ever step foot in their doors, as they don't stand behind replacing your damaged property, which they have wrecked! Also installed my dishwasher and made scratches on the top touch panel due to not adjusting the door, and then sent a tech out to replace, who threw the tools all around and was so angry at having to repair it, that he broke the front door right away from the hinges. I had to fight to get a replacement dishwasher. Fridge's ice maker has already broken down and needed replacing (after 4 months). Run far far away from this business unless you want headache after headache, they do not stand behind their products, warranty or damages that they do while on site in your home. It is their responsibility to replace my flooring that they damaged, but they refuse to, totally unacceptable. And no Patricia (customer service rep who starts out sickly sweet, but finishes very rudely ie: wolf in sheeps clothing) - I do not want your BS comments as a reply to this review, unless you are replying to reimburse me the full amount for my wrecked flooring. You have a ton of bad reviews and now I see why. Reply to comments below: I am actually LOL at how terrible you look right now. My floor was in perfect condition before your installers got here - your darn rights you should REPLACE my floor back to the new condition that it was in before you were allowed to come into my house, and NOT just provide a patch job. Let me come into your home and wreck your flooring and we will see if you will accept a cheap patch job...yeah that's what I figured you wouldn't accept it either. The only reason that the Better Business Bureau closed the claim is that they didn't give me enough time to get in writing that a professional floor installed said that your offer of an archaic patch job on my perfectly good floor would always look like just that - a patch job. You really should be ashamed to treat your customers like this, but upon dealing with you I am not surprised. I will shout it out to the world everywhere I go that you are terrible in every aspect of your business from start to finish. Let me tell you, I will never deal with your store again and you won't be getting another 5000 from me ever again. Do yourself a favour and read up on all of the bad reviews you have against you - which is what I should have done before giving you my money. Never again. After buying 5 new appliances from Trail, the dishwasher wasn't cleaning properly. Called to ask for advice and/or someone to come out and have a look at it. The manner in which I was spoken to from the receptionist took me completely aback. Left a voicemail for the manager to call me explaining the situation. Three weeks later having yet not received a call back from him I called again because the same dishwasher a tech had already came out and looked at had completely stopped working. The oven we had also purchased stopped working as well as the dishwasher leaking. The manager didn't seem concerned at the fact he had not returned my calls or the fact that 3 out of the 5 appliances I had purchased a month earlier were all broken. I asked how many times I had to complain about a product before something was done with which he replied 3 times. I've now had a tech at my house 3 times and still have two non functional appliances with no word back from the manager, Chris, at all. Would never recommend this store to anyone looking to purchase appliances. Not reliable service. Very disappointment customer. read more
