I had 2 broken windows I needed replaced. Quality is fine, but it took one month to complete and I never once received a call regarding when the job would be completed. I had to call for an update for every step of the process, including when the installer would be back after the first replacement glass didn't fit. I assumed when I was told the glass would be re-cut to the correct size in 1 day, the installation would be within a couple of days of that. After a week without hearing from them, I called and was told it would be about a week until they could install. Note that I live 2 minutes from their shop, and it's a 1 hour job. Just a brief shout out to a local business who does great work... I had a memory box which had sentimental value to me because it has a photo of my late dad who was an avid fisherman and some of the homemade lures that he made and painted in it. It was sitting around in a bag ever since the last earthquake tremor passed though these parts a year or two ago when it fell over and smashed the glass. At first I thought it would be easiest to find a replacement memory box from Michaels or some other store but I found that the boxes were not the same size and would require me to redo the layout and mounting and everything... Then my sister suggested that I just find someone to replace the glass. Ding. Why not replace it with plexiglass while you're at it. Ding... Not only did Tradeway do a fine job, they mentioned the pros and cons of using glass vs plexiglass. Basically it's a tradeoff between fragility and susceptibility to scratches. I opted for robustness and was happy with the results. They told me it would take a day or two to cut and mount, and it actually only took the better part of one day... They have a very small parking lot in the back that is accessible from Citrus, but there are only about 4 spots and one or two is almost surely occupied by a work truck. They scheduled an appointment and Mark came out and gave me an estimate. Pretty good price! The only problem was that when the actual installation day was scheduled and they didn't arrive, I called and said they were waiting on another shipment for a second pane that was needed. Only thing was that I wasn't informed of the change in schedule and I was working on a time limit for an inspection. Tradeway was referred to us by a friend and I am so glad I called them. This is a family owned business. They are courteous, helpful and do very good work. Our sliding door was installed when this house was built in 1950's. It took some abuse over the years without a crack until now. Mark ordered and installed tempered glass as required by today's laws. It was a 2 day job and I could not believe that the price was slightly higher than my homeowner's deductible. So I doubt that I will go through the hassle of a claim. I've used Tradeway Glass Co. on two separate occasions. The first time I had them make a custom piece for my dining room table, and the second time I had them make a piece for my desk. Each time, the work was done at a reasonable price, around $200, and both jobs were completed in about a week. They delivered both times as well for an additional $40. I did have trouble scheduling a time for them to come to the house, measure, and quote a price. One time the rep. never showed. read more

Years ago Tradeway Glass was THE place to go for window work if you were in and around Covina. That has all changed. If, and I mean if, you can get them to show up you are likely to get attitude. Once I asked twice for them to come to my home for window replacement and nobody ever showed. Just recently, one of the retail buildings my family owns needed a door repaired. It took two attempts to get them out to see what they could do. The tenant tells me the person who finally came by was rude from the time he arrived and then disappeared! No word back. I'm sure if all you need is a piece of glass cut, you're good to go there. If you need a professional contractor to do anything more involved, I would strongly suggest you consider someone else. read more
