Flower Station

Flower Station

Liverpool Street / Broadgate

I am absolutely in love with the Flower Station! I live in the US and my daughter lives in London…read moreso when Valentine's Day comes around I'm always a bit unsure where to order flowers from. i will never order flowers from anywhere else following the debacle of this past Valentine's Day. Their customer service is exceptional! I accidentally sent the flowers to myself instead of my daughter so I sent an email and they responded immediately and fixed it. Unfortunately, the flowers and other gifts i sent from the shop never arrived. Once again, they responded to my email promptly with the a picture of the delivered flowers. it turns out they were stolen from my daughter's stoop. The flower shop again replied to me asap and they offered me store credit for my difficulties. The Flower Station was under no obligation to do anything as they completed their delivery. They were kind and polite the entire time. The flowers were delivered today and they are gorgeous! They have a wide range of prices and every picture shown is lovely. Best part, the flowers look just like the pictures!! I can assure you that you will NOT be disappointed when you order from the Flower Station. I wish I had a florist just like them here in the States.

The shop is small but with a large selection of flowers and experienced florists always ready to help. Unfortunately I never got much further than the Blue Peter school of glitter glue so a lot of the stock in this shop goes a bit over my head. Sticking to what I can understand, Cowling and Wilcox has a really nice card and gift selection with a bit more personality than anything you'll find in Clinton's. The writing sets are particularly stylish although they can be quite expensive. Similarly, they have a great selection of Moleskin diaries and books but these can cost anything upwards of £15. On the other hand they have a great selection of arty presents for kids which all seem very reasonably priced and a lot of fun too for that matter! I defy anyone to be too old for face-paints. Cowling and Wilcox is a lovely shop which is well worth a look around if you're in need of anything a bit arty or looking for a more personal present for that difficult someone.

I could spend hours in art shops. I always end up spending a fortune. It is just something about…read morenew paper and sketch books and paints. Mindlessly wandering through the store, picking up colourful bottles and textured paper. The mind can run wild with new ideas. Cowling and Wilcox is a huge store situated on Shoreditch High Street. They have everything from portfolios, to canvas, paints, spray paint, paper, printer ink cartridges and much more. A light and airy shop pack fill of supplies all organised clearly on shelves and stands making for easy spending. It is a little on the expensive side, however the quality and quantity of supplies is impressive. Especially if it is a final year portfolio or important presentation. To top it off the staff are very helpful and inspiring if stuck for colour choices or alternative solutions to presentation.

If I should relocate to London in the coming months I place the blame squarely upon the Columbia…read moreRoad Flower Market. Hustling and bustling, with crowds enticed not just by the gorgeous flowers but also the healthy green houseplants and the shockingly reasonable prices, Columbia Road Flower Market is the place to be on Sundays. Getting a late start (compared to others), my walk from the Elizabeth Line to Colombia Road had me salivating; it seemed that everyone coming in the opposite direction held beautiful bouquets, thriving houseplants, or both. Later in the day people were leaving with their arms so full of oversized greenery that watching them navigate their way down the street was comical. So: the prices are great, the selection is astounding, and everything looks fresh and heathy. Only a city with a population the size of London could pull off such a great and bustling flower market. Getting here is a cinch on the new Elizabeth Line and the route from there to Columbia Road is well-marked. The market theoretically closes at 2 p.m. but many sellers were still hawking discounted product past that time. Come early or late, but do come. It's a crowded, colorful experience for which America really has no equivalent.

Only open on Sunday mornings so plan accordingly! Beautiful flowers, perfect for a morning stroll…read more I recommend coming here as they open at 8am for a better selection and of course, less crowds. Simply beautiful!
