I brought 7 total for my nieces

I love TJ, but don't like coming here on the weekends bc it's too packed. However, I was so happy I found the mini Tote bags here! The blue and green colors are sold out, but I got a total of 7 for my nieces. Cashier said someone actually brought 40, so they have to put a limit of 10 which is still a lot. These are so cute for little girl or as a lunch bag. I only kept one for myself bc one is enough.

Trader Joe's. I like Trader Joe's. The only thing in general that I dislike is the limited edition items and the portions may be on the lower side of things. This specific location is always great for me. It's somewhat spacious compared to the one on university Ave. My favourite time to go is during the morning; the earlier the better. Stamp members are always nice and willing to help you. They make their way to leas you to the store, oh and you can literally try anything you'd like. Since this location is near or in the zone of what is considered a college town they got six pack glass beer or so that's what I heard a staff member say. Some items are unique here with their beer. Anyone seen an A's logo on a tin IPA? BART?! You can't miss the frozen section, always nice, quick, easy, and tasty meals speedily for a uni student or anyone pressed on time.

Everything But the Bagel Seasoning is now a must. Sitting right next to the sea salt, pepper grinder, Kikkoman, and Tampico on my counter! I'd had their version of the smoked salmon and actually enjoyed the seasoning more than the fish. You truly can put this on everything. Salads, grilled proteins, and veggies. Maybe even fruit! $1.99 a bottle so shake it up!

I enjoy that every Trader Joe's will evoke the same sense of familiarity wherever you go. You know exactly what great products they have, and approximately where they're located. The store is always clean, organized, and well-stocked. Trader Joe's excels at having their own brand of many packaged foods, and it's cheap! Some of the staples I always get are the Trader Joe's brand of Greek Yogurt, hummus, almond butter, nuts, and frozen foods like Chimichurri rice and bibimbap. They also have a good assortment of pre-made packaged foods like veggie hummus wraps, packaged salads, soups, etc. Trader Joe's biggest weakness is its produce. It's just not its forte. The assortment is limited, with maybe one variety of apple, mango, etc.. And the produce is also usually more expensive than regular stores. My strategy is to go to Berkeley Bowl for produce, and Trader Joe's for staples and packaged foods. You get the best of both worlds, and can save a lot on groceries!

This is a great Trader Joe's with their healthy products, and good prices. This one is a relatively small store, and sometimes it is really crowded around mid-day. I have waited in line for 20 minutes there. My recommendation is to go early--like 8 am. There was no waiting in line outside. Trader Joe's is so popular that if you go later in the day--they may run out of what you are looking for. Did you know that you can ask to try a product before you buy it, and you can eat as much as you wish. They also have a hassle free return policy. Don't love it--return it. Their staff is friendly, too. And remember, go early and miss the crowds.

The store itself is fine, but the parking lot is an absolute nightmare. Too small by a large margin and one-way lanes. Hate hate hate.

When are the viral mini tote bags back?

Does anybody know if they recycle batteries? (WF does on Telegraph does.)

I've never seen any receptacles at TJ accepting recyclables of any kind.

Customer service since the pandemic is hardly existent anywhere but many of the employees at this store are a special brand of disappointing. Many of the cashier staff are rude and spend more time talking to each other than they do keeping the line moving. I have encountered a cashier (I believe her name is Nina. Something with a N) at this location several times that is quite possibly the nastiest, most rude customer service representative that I have interacted with in a very long time. Today was no different. Super Bowl Sunday, I went to self check out to find her (Nina?) cradling the paper bags to her chest with both hands, while speaking to us customers like she was the Warden in a prison. "If you need a bag, I have the bags. They are 25 cents. They are not free. Select the option on the screen and I will give you a bag." She repeated these "instructions" several times in a tone that was rude, belittling, and clearly irritable. Her face and body language matched her tone. Unfortunately, someone missed a step and she had to assist them with paying for a bag. To her displeasure, she made her announcements again and included the parting message, "the bags are not free. That is why I said you have to select on the screen. I have made myself very clear." I quickly grabbed my items and left the store because wtf had I just experienced?? This lady is beyond inappropriate. She is angry and hates her job, and seemingly hates us for shopping at this particular location. To Regional Leadership, I challenge you to review the film from Super Bowl Sunday at around 4:20 PM for a front row seat to Nina's negativity and disrespect of your paying customers.

We looked at their inhouse prepackaged refrigerated meals and picked out some eggplant parmesan and went to the prepared food table and took home a half a quart of butternut squash soup. Lunch was warm and filling on a nice chilly day. I was happily surprised that the eggplant parmesan came out so well. It was nicely breaded and wasn't soggy and was very flavorful and not mushy. I used to stick with packaged goods, but in more recent years I've also been getting as much produce as possible at this GO. It's quite a bit less than at the other grocery store I often frequent, a family-run business in the Dimond district. It's not hard to find quality produce here, and they have a respectable amount of organics. The one thing that keeps me from giving this store a full five stars is the fact that they allow signature gatherers to set up shop by the front door, and these people thrust their their damn clipboards and pens in your face when you try to walk in. Today, when I politely declined to fork over my signature, the woman told me, "You should try to give a hoot about this," which was quite annoying. I'm not going to put my signature on something I haven't researched beforehand. These things are not always what they seem to be.
