The prices are incomparable. The service cant be beat. The coolest items in the frozen and regular aisles and always a joy having to play find-the-seasonal-item and snagging our favorite items - pineapple juice, coconut milk, butter etc. Awesome all around, will definitely be coming back.!

Very busy shop and very frienfly cashier. Good place to get daily grocery or some items which you don't find in other places. The stuff was organized nicely. It is always a nice experience to shop here

This is a very nice TJ location in the Palo Alto area. It is well equipped as a TJ location should be for all your grocery needs. All staff are taking measures to fight COVID-19. All shopping carts are sanitized before use, so no worries there. The employees wear their face masks correctly and diligently. But for some reason something was amiss at this location. At first I thought it was the inconsistent produce (got a bad batch of grapes) but that wasn't it. Parking spots were pretty small without clear demarcation lining. The loading area is also open for everyone to see which somewhat destroyed the TJ neighborhood feel. And for some reason a few staff members were loud/yelling. Besides these issues, this is a pretty good location for all your usual TJ items.

Lots of fresh, organic fruits, veggies, and meats. They had a wonderful sample of almond Kringle to try, absolutely delicious. Lots of high end choices, all kinds of stuff to try from regular food to exotics. Wide, clean aisles make shopping easy.

TJ's butternut squash triangoli: excellent. Pair it with TJ's olive oil, TJ's roasted pine nuts, and TJ's Parmigiano-Reggiano

The apple pie leans classic in the best way: flaky crust, tender apples, just enough sweetness to justify another slice. Then the butcher counter shows real precision. Asked for two Wagyu steaks cut to identical thickness, and they delivered perfectly--even cuts so both cook evenly, no guesswork. Of course, that level of quality comes at a price (think ~$58/lb), so this is more "treat yourself" than weeknight dinner. Produce holds its own too. The asparagus was fresh, crisp, and naturally sweet--no stringiness, just clean flavor. You come here for the details--and stay despite the total.

This location of Draeger's is much closer to what the San Mateo location used to be. The top floor is mostly cards/party supplies and housewares (though it does look like they have a coffee shop up there) and the bottom floor is the grocery section. They had easy parking right out front and I was able to pick up a chestnut scoring tool and review their small selection of Le Creuset. All in all if you have the option I'd visit this location over Los Altos as it's more robust and definitely more friendly.

Cute, tiny specialty store on the perimeter of this new Menlo Park foodie complex. Fun to browse…read morethe cheese and snacks, and good looking options for fresh pasta, foccacia sandwiches, and antipasto for a quick dinner. Generally expensive, as expected for a specialty import store in this area. However, the gelato and foccacia are both exceptionally good and priced on par with what you'd pay for less delicious versions elsewhere. Foccacia is among the best I've had - pillow light, springy, and well developed flavor. Gelato had a perfect texture - smooth, dense, and creamy - more flavorful than standard ice cream (just as good gelato should be). I got a single cup of half pistachio and half cookies & cream - both flavors were on point. Portion felt generous for $5.99 (compared to other gelatos in the area) and as with the foccacia, the quality here stood out. Given how flavorful gelato is, I found a single to be perfectly satisfying. Foccacia sandwiches looked divine - earmarking to come back and try those when I'm not avoiding deli meat (due to pregnancy). I think there are less expensive places to buy imported cheese, although I did grab a round of tartufo from the cheese case because it was calling to me. The folks working here are helpful and friendly. In short, a tasty place to grab a chic snack or low lift dinner.

They use a mint extract, not real mint. But it's good. The chocolate chips are thin shards that melt quickly. - 3.0: Strawberry milk-based gelato: The flavor is weak and somewhat artificial, and the gelato is too sweet. Great smooth texture. I'm sure I'm mostly getting in their way since I am usually shopping while they are refilling the shelves, but they all truly couldn't be any nicer. I'd assume this is a representation of Safeway since they all seem to be so friendly, but also wanted to give a shoutout to all of the different brands since their employees are displaying such awesome customer service.

What you can judge is the quality of service, and that's where this Safeway stood out. The in-store Starbucks, however, was a different story. They managed to mess up multiple coffee orders, which is literally their one job. It shouldn't be that difficult, but somehow it was. What really made the visit worthwhile was the Safeway staff. The employees were great, friendly, helpful, and actually seemed to care. One employee (customer service) in particular went above and beyond, taking the time to help without being asked and making the whole experience much better. The Safeway team deserves credit. This review is really for the employee who stepped up and made a difference.
