We dealt with improperly waterproofed window openings, recessed window installs, damaged exterior trim, and unfinished drywall/stucco work. One window was ordered the wrong size and instead of replacing it properly, a 2x4 was added beneath the window and the original sill was reinstalled on top. We had two separate GCs inspect portions of the work who both expressed concerns with the installation quality and waterproofing details. Despite bringing these concerns forward multiple times, the company refused to correct what we believed were installation-related issues.

I called 10 companies as well as used the big manufacturer's "Find a Dealer" pages that send my…read moreinfo out, etc. Most of their contractors robo-responded with text messages. 6 called. 4 showed up to get measurements so they could give an estimate. Only 3 ever sent estimates. Absolute sent 3 different estimates with 3 different manufacturer options. And every one of those options was VERY competitively priced! They also made it clear we could piecemeal the work (just do doors first, then windows... or just a couple windows at first, etc). They were VERY accomodating and willing to work within any financial issue that may have been cause for concern. In the end we went with all 16 windows, a 3-panel slider, a French door, and a slider being converted to French doors being replaced with hurricane glass/windows. My windows had a bit of a catch that made the contracting a bit more problematic but they rolled with it. The office staff was amazing at every step. "Responsive" doesnt even begin to cover it. When the work finally got started, we had a slider being converted to French door, and a previously installed French door that was done improperly. They knocked out the windows within a week. When they realized the installer had issues with the French doors, they sent another team out to help. They showed up at least 3 times to fix the issues from previous contractors (not from Absolute!) shoddy work and did not leave until the work was done right. They realized THEY made a slight mistake on one French door and didnt cut corners!! They removed and replaced both doors so the job was done right!! I don't recall all their names but definitely Ginger, Joyce, Shawna, Greg, and his partner as well as the other 2 from "Crew #2" that came out for the doors.. all deserve a raise for the stuff they dealt with in regards to my particular doors and windows. Ginger would have to be top of that list. She was ALWAYS communicating. I have dealt with a lot of contractors here in SWFL and can say I have NEVER come across a company that seems to treat every portion of the process, from sales to install, as if the house being worked on was their own. "Excellent" is hardly enough to describe how our entire window and door replacement process went!…read more It began with a visit from Rob, the highly knowledgeable sales rep. He gave a thorough and comprehensive explanation of every aspect of the window, sliding door, and front door replacement. Our first estimate did not include replacement of three trapezoidal windows and one rectangular window above the front door. Once we realized that these existing windows were not impact-resistant, I requested that they be added to the job. Rob came and did extensive measurements, then he returned again with an even more experienced expert to confirm everything. The preliminary work must have been spot on, because these trouble-windows went in with little difficulty. Except for the large section of termite-damaged wood that the installer uncovered and, of course, completely removed and replaced. Given the special geometric and installation requirements, the finished product is incredible. The installation crew was technically expert. In addition, each one had a real concern for the extensive interior memorabilia throughout the home that we were unable to relocate before the work. Everything was covered and protected from both dust and inadvertent contact. This gave us the confidence not to worry about damage, and of course there was none. The final process involved filling holes in the stucco made by the removal of ancient sliding shutters, installing new trim around the three trapezoidal windows, and touch-up painting, including the new front door. Once again, extreme care was given to protecting the inside of the house near the door and the exterior screened entrance. The work was neat and thorough, and the final cleanup was total and complete I can't recommend Armored Dade highly enough. In my relatively brief stay in Florida, I of course have not avoided the countless TV commercials for window replacement: 0% off; buy 1 get 1; get 4; etc. Rob made no mention of any "deals" at his initial visit because with a top-quality product installed by a top-quality firm, there is no need for gimmicks.

Guy came by and noticed all the mistakes. said he was going to go to Home Depot to get some material and never came back. Called Anne a week later. She said that they were getting the material from the warehouse. I told her I had no Idea no one said anything. She apologized and said she'll get on it. Here is it 2 weeks later and no communications. Tried calling and no one answers my calls. seems like they are screening my calls. cant get a hold of anyone. I've let messages and nothing. The total install time was less than 2 days, and everyone was friendly, efficient, and professional. To begin with, Heath will be your consultant, measure and give you estimates, talk about color options, etc.. We went with dark bronze, which is a very rich dark brown (almost black). Heath is so great at answering questions and getting back to you promptly. He made the process very pleasant and stress free. Once the decision is made, the measurements will be double-checked by another person, and doors/windows will be ordered. They will work with HOAs and will do all the permitting and inspection scheduling. On the day of the inspection, you will have someone come early,make sure all is good, and then once the approval is done, finish all the details like capping screws etc Johnny and his son John were absolutely fantastic, so friendly, extremely thorough, and went through everything twice and more Any concern was addressed, and they literally took all the time needed to make sure everything was perfect.
