I called back in October to make an appt and the person I talked to took my info and said someone would get back to me...they never did. I then called and left a message...no one returned the call. On the third attempt I reached someone and made an appointment for the 1st week of January. They then called me a few days prior and said they had to reschedule for the end of January...which was OK. I filled out all the paperwork online except for the insurance because the website was down. On my way there, there was an accident on park blvd but I still arrived 12min early only to be told that my appointment was canceled because I wasn't 30min early. I asked if there was more paperwork to be filled out and was told no. I asked why they needed me so early if there was no paperwork to fill out and was told that it's what the doctor wants. The receptionist said she would talk to the doctor and I sat in the waiting area watching as my appointment time came and went. Finally, after sitting there for almost 30min...the receptionist said the doctor wasn't going to see me and I would have to reschedule. I had to take time off of work for this appt...the doctor was obviously not even available at the appt time or had the decency to tell me herself she was canceling. read more

I have been with Tracey for about 20 years. She's absolutely fabulous.! She has stayed late to counsel me and listen to my concerns. She's always very friendly and courteous. Every time I'm there. I would highly recommend her, and I have also recommended her to many people already. Mini doctors don't take the time to listen to the patient but she always does! read more

I was a patient for years they were amazing! My birth control stopped working, I had my annual voiced my concern she mentioned changing my birth control I put it off. Within weeks I was hemorrhaging and wanted to change my birth control and she wouldn't she wanted me to come in which would have been out of pocket, and I can't afford it now. Rather than help me she dropped me as a patient, I am shocked, hurt and angry. They used to be so awesome, I don't know what happened. read more

Seeing Tracy Fansler was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a medical professional. I am not one to share public reviews, but if I can prevent someone from experiencing what I did, then it's worth it. I went to see Tracy for a medical problem I was experiencing. On the intake form, I explicitly said I was not interested in discussing birth control at this appointment. During the visit, Tracy brought up birth control anyways. Instead of respecting my medical choice, she berated and bullied me for it. She told me that when I'm experiencing hormonal shifts, I need to remind myself that "I'm the problem" because I chose not to treat myself with birth control. She also told me that when I'm struggling with hormones, to "keep my mouth shut" and to put a note on my fridge as a reminder that I'm the problem and to not act out. I left the office in tears and still cannot believe someone in the medical profession could act so blatantly disrespectful to a patient. If you're thinking of booking an appointment with Tracy, I highly recommend you find someone else instead. read more

Dr. Fansler was highly recommended to me and has been like a knight in shining armor during my time of need! I have been to several Ob/Gyn in the area and there is always some issue, whether lack of professional and friendly service, billing or something! I'm relieved to say I didn't have those issues here. The Front office staff were like "sunshine on a cloudy day"! As I struggled with St. Anthony's to get my medical records for most of the week, Carol was very helpful with the process and remained in close contact with me as we got down to the wire. She took the time to introduce herself in person when I arrived. What makes this team so "golden" is the way they treat you like a person. Being a woman of color with an afro, some places still treat you like a second class citizen and do everything to show they do not want your business. They kept my little one company with coloring activity and treated her like a person too! She also watched a movie and was given a seashell as a treasure. It was incredibly refreshing after what I've been through lately with at least 3 other Ob/Gyns in the area, I was wondering if I would have to travel to another city to find quality, fortunately I didn't. They are in a two story red brick building next door to Largo Mall and across the street from a McDonald's. This is it: she is now my one and only Ob/Gyn! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR. FANSLER! I've been going to here since 2012 and I can't say enough good things about her. What female can say they love their Gyn? I can. Dr. Fansler truly cares which is such a rare thing in today's world especially in the medical field where you feel like just a number. She always is on time. She spends time to talking to you about health, not just from a Gyn perspective. She knows I hate having a mammogram but she's always patient and funny and tells me it's only because she cares! Who cares anymore? Dr. Fansler does. I just saw her and this will tell you the doctor she is. He gowns smell so good so I asked her what she uses. She named off about 3 things and then told me that's her Sunday afternoon ritual. Washing, drying and folding gowns. I asked her why she doesn't have a staff do it for her. Dr. Fansler is the worst doctor I've ever met. She is very rude and unprofessional. I got her name from my G.I. doctor. She seems to take her unhappiness and frustration out at people that she thinks she can get away with. Without going into details, she yelled and slammed window at me. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone let alone a doctor. Wish I had seen all the bad reviews beforehand. Her receptionist apologized to me for the way I was treated. Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. If you have any other options, take them. The first time I went, I left with a fairly good impression. The doctor seemed a little distracted and asked the same questions several times, but I figured it was a busy day or something. She seemed nice enough, the office was comfortable and in good condition. I ended up having to go back several times over 3 month period, and each time things just got worse and worse. As another reviewer mentioned, the staff is just rude. They all speak to you with this condescending, snotty tone of voice. And yes, they do talk about the patients, loudly, and not in a nice way. Just in the times I was sitting in the waiting room or waiting alone in the actual exam room, it was pretty much all they did. Just gossip, and laugh about people. To top it off the one that handles insurance all but called me a liar and laughed in my face. I actually left the office in tears. The doctor herself is flaky and distracted. She'll forget what you're there for, maybe even more than once in a visit. Several times, she called me as the office was closing on a Friday to tell me test results came back bad, and that I could call Monday morning to find out what was going on and what we could do about it. Nice way to ruin a weekend. I had to have a procedure done that she did not properly explain to me/prepare me for, which ended up in a late night trip to the ER. I was told I would need to come back for a follow up in three to six months, but was never told specifically when. I've been calling for about two weeks now trying to find out when I'm supposed to come back and have yet to receive an answer or get a call back. They've also disabled my access to their patient website, so I no longer have access to my test results or the option to email her. Unprofessional, uncaring people. I've honestly never experienced such consistently bad service in a medical setting. All they want is your money, which they are not shy about. They will slap a bill down in front of you when you go to sign in, and tell you that you have to pay it in full right then and there or they "aren't sure you'll be able to see the doctor", even if you're there for cancer prevention procedures. Find any other doctor, it can't be worse than this. read more

I've first saw Dr. Tracy Fansler about a year before my son was born, when she was in an office with 3 other men. I was so glad she was on call for my son's delivery. I recently visit Dr. Fansler for the first time and chose her initially just based upon her proximity to where I live. But I was pleased to learn that she does not require patients to sign an arbitration agreement! If you don't know what this is all about, do some research, and you'll discover that you want to be seeing a doctor who does not require this of you up front before an appointment. (A very high percentage of doctors in FL require this document signed so they can save money on their malpractice insurance.) Dr. Fansler was so friendly and detailed in why she was asking me certain questions, and what she would be doing in the exam (even though I'm 45 and have had many exams, it was still really nice to get all these considerations from her). I left the visit feeling like Dr. Fansler would be a cool friend to get a glass of wine with, lol! I have read some reviews here that have had opposite feelings... I have no idea why. I truly felt she and her staff were highly professional, she cared about my well-being, was non-judgemental, and was medically thorough. I highly recommend her. read more

I have never had a worse experience with any doctor ever. She is rude, unprofessional and abrasive. I wish I'd read reviews before going to my appointment. She was on a provider list. Upon leaving her office I called my insurance company immediately to report that she should be removed. Prior to attending the visit I communicated with her scheduling staff and was very specific about what was going on and the procedure that had been recommended by a physician in another state. I was told by the "Scheduling department, " (which is actually she, her nurse, and a receionist (who really is the best thing tbat practice has going for them))that no matter what was going on I would need an annual before any procedures. Okay. Frustrating, but okay. I was told to fill out my paperwork prior to arrival and to still check in 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO MY APPOINTMENT. This seemed ridiculous yet I acquiesced because I needed to get the ball rolling. After I schedule I received FOUR emails. Whence finally I got to all of them: she requires you sign up with a THIRD PARTY PLATFORM TO FILLL OUT DOCUMENTS PRIOR TO APT. I didnt. I arrived 30 minutes prior to my appointment as requested, and filled out the required documents in twenty minutes. Still ten minutes to spare. It wasn't busy in there. I was seen an hour and a half AFTER MY SCHEDULED APT. AND WHEN I EXPRESSED DISSATISFACTION OVER THIS, mind you, in a very respectful way she raised her voice(!), interrupted(!) and told me that if I wanted to be seen on time I should schedule my appointments at either 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM. Her judgement and derision were palpable after I disclosed that I'd been both sexually assaulted and assaulted on two separate occasions. She stopped typing (or in the third instance probing my body) to scowl at me. AND she informed me, when I told her that I was interested in receiving information about artificial insemination, that I was born with my eggs and that at my age it was unlikely. I'm 37, which is at the far end of things, but I took sophomore biology and I didn't need a lesson. I needed a physician to discuss my options. Please do not make this mistake. I've lived all over the world and seen a lot of gyn's-both male and female. I've NEVER had an experience like this: in this country nor any other. She is the absolute worse. Go elsewhere. I had Tracy Fansler 4 years ago for a while, Then I changed insurances and she was not on THEIR list so I had to go to some other one of their chose, I decided NOT to go to them, Now I have an insurance that lets me go to her. Today was my first visit back and she has not changed one bit. I was looking so forward to seeing her again after 4 years. She was the only doctor that found my reason for bleeding for over a year. So no one anywhere can tell me she is just O.K. She is one of the BEST, She's thorough and doesn't stop until she finds the cause, I am looking forward, once again to being in her care. Ugh... Really expensive ($250 dollars for an office visit? Do I leave with a gold plated hoohah? ) they make you pay upfront BEFORE you even see a doctor, and the front desk staff is the worst. Even when I expressed concerns over costs, doctor insisted I must have a bunch of unnecessary tests just because I 'd never had it done. Really? A hemoglobin blood test? I am sure that's something a healthy person REALLY needs Also prescribed THE most expensive prescription for my symtoms ($200 a month) and didn't check the "generics ok" box (generics were $8 a month) and I had to wait 2 days for a new prescription! Just go to your local Walk in clinic, you' ll get better service and it will be less expensive. read more

Tracy Fansler was extremely rude, unprofessional, judgmental, and down-right unpleasant. I don't want to go into details but she also did things to me I have NEVER heard of an OB/GYN doing to someone. I left feeling very uncomfortable. Not only that, but all of her staff had left during my appointment, so I realized no one else was there except for me and her when I went to leave. Then to top it all off, I was hit with an extremely high medical bill after being told repeatedly that they received the authorization from my insurance company and that I would not owe a copay. And they wouldn't send me the EOB from my insurance company either. I will never go back here again. read more

With the cost of insurance, cannot make more appointments and write a list on what I need to discuss. When I was in there last (and I do mean last), asked the nurse about something else and was told I was in there just to go over what to expect with the upcoming procedure. Case closed. I went to Dr. Fansler for 10+ years. For many of those years she was a very caring and respectful doctor. But the past couple years she has become very rude and makes you feel like you are an idiot when you ask her questions, etc. The past couple appointments have been very rushed by her, and I have felt very disrespected by her comments and reactions to me. Dr. Fansler was my OB/GYN for almost 15 years. When I moved away to college, I continued to drive home (3 hours) to see her for my yearly exams. I'd still be using Dr. Fansler if I hadn't moved out of state. She is professional, prompt, kind and has a great bedside manner. read more

I was referred to this doctor by my primary care physician. The woman I spoke with wouldn't even allow me to make an appointment without my insurance information first. I left my card at home on my desk. SHE DIDN'T EVEN ASK ME MY NAME. Just told me I would have to call back. I realize that insurance and payment for services is relevant since they are running a business; but when they are more interested in knowing the insurance company's name before the patient, something is terribly wrong. Medicine has really devolved. Doctor's offices use to ask how they could help you today. Not anymore, just all about the money. read more

I've been going to Dr. Fansler for 21 years and she has been there for me through some serious conditions over the years, and I am always totally happy with the course of action she takes. Many times, Dr. Fansler has called me at home with any concerns she may have with test results, or making sure I hear back in a timely manner about any concerns I may have. She's extremely knowledgeable and proficient in what she does and is always very patient with me. She has a very warm bedside manner, combined with a great sense of humor. I'm always smiling when I leave her office. I've never had a problem with getting an appointment with her, and it's rare that I have to wait very long to see her. On the few occasions that I do have to wait, it's usually while she is taking care of another patient that needs her full attention, so I don't mind. Both of my daughters have kept Dr. Fansler as their Gyn since they were old enough to see her, which has been quite a long time. Over the years, I have highly recommended Dr. Fansler to many of my relatives and friends, and consider her one of the best Drs I have ever had! read more

I loved her when I first went to her years ago, but life's difficulties (taking care of an elderly parent, raising twins by myself, and a full time job) kept me from returning every year, causing a lecture with each visit. Her solution for everything is birth control pills. I'm 47 years old and told her that birth control pills make me depressed (and I felt I was too old for them), but she didn't offer anything else for my heavy periods. I practically begged her for a hysterectomy and she said she wanted to avoid surgery and didn't even mention an ablation! An ovarian "cyst" led to a painful ER visit, and AGAIN, Dr. Fansler offered birth control pills! She told me that my follow up ultrasound showed that it had shrunk, so "no cancer", but after a second opinion and an MRI, I found out that the "cyst" had NOT shrunk and was actually a tumor (thankfully benign!). My new GYN suspected Adenomyosis (Endometriosis in the lining of the uterus which causes heavy bleeding) and suggested a hysterectomy. By this point there was no saving my ovary, as it was encased in a soft ball sized tumor! (By the way, he was 100% correct with his diagnosis!) I'm now 3 months post surgery and have NEVER felt better! I have wonderful insurance and money was never an issue (I've paid less than $1,000 out of pocket for everything!), but Dr. Fansler showed absolutely no interest in helping me. She is a terrible listener. If she would SLOW DOWN and take some time to listen to everything her patients say, she could possibly offer better advice and solutions! My only regret is not finding another doctor and getting the hysterectomy sooner! I suffered unnecessarily for years! If you have no problems, and you want birth control pills, she's your doctor. If you have any issues at all and need options other than pills, look for someone else. read more
