The rates are extremely reasonable, at $23/dog and $18 for the second dog sharing a same kennel. I added a 10 minute country stroll each day for my dogs, which was $1.50/walk. Each day, they'll clean any bedding you bring, which is a bonus. My dogs seemed happy when I picked them up, so that's really mostly what I'm basing my review on. I really had wished there was some sort of report card about how my dogs were. They're not exactly the most easy to take care of, so I usually like updates. It smelled of dog urine in the entryway, which I know is hard to get rid of, but I wish there were a better smell.

We spoke to Louise; she showed us our options, including one that would fit in our limited space. They had one in stock, and had one delivery slot open on Friday. The price and other fees seemed reasonable, so we bought it. Friday morning I called to see where we were on the delivery schedule; we were first on the schedule, and at about 9:15 the truck arrived with 2 very personable young men, who proceeded to remove the old refrigerator and install the new one. Tim and his assistant were very knowledgeable and efficient and by 10 we had a new, working refrigerator. Tim explained the process to get the refrigerator to the correct temperature, and told us to call if there were any questions or issues. We were very pleased with the entire experience, and we will definitely go back to Appliance Avenue for future appliances.

I let my dog, Toby, splurge on a shopping spree when we were last in the area, and he picked out his favorite toy of all time, what I have christened his "Scare Bear" ™ Toby, a black lab, great pyrenees, terrier, hound mix was seen all around Fall Fest this year, with Scare Bear in his mouth. He brought it home to Chicago with us, and he sleeps with it, goes on walks with it, and sits it next to him on the chair or the couch. Toby is almost six years old, and this is his first ever toy that he hasn't even attempted to destroy in some way. It's a true comfort item, and he picked it out himself! Toby does some volunteer search and rescue work, and loves to help people and animals in between roughhousing with Mommy and other dogs and running around like a crazy man. He used his Scare Bear to comfort an older gentleman who was having a hard time walking at Peninsula State Park, and he even offered the guy Scare Bear for comfort as he walked the man back to the parking lot. Thanks so much to Door County Dog Store for making my Toby such a happy young man!

I took off one star, because Dr. Holder treats cats and dogs like someone might treat a farm animal, not like a part of your family. He's a little dismissive of the emotional temperament of the animal, doesn't coddle them, but on the other hand will treat them with care nonetheless. If you're used to a vet that babytalks your pet and praises it during the visit, this place might not be your kind of vet office. But you can depend on good care. I was even allowed to go back into another room and view the xrays that were taken of my dog. I had both my dogs' care here over 7 years. One thing I would advise is that you don't elect to have your pet euthanized here in the office. I was pretty traumatized and left absolutely raw. Call in someone to come to your home. My two experiences with pet euthanasia were complete 180 from each other.

We just had a huge scare with our dog, he's a 8 month husky with a knack for swallowing things he…read moreshouldn't. We took him to the emergency vet in Appleton and they were good, but told us that he would for sure need surgery and if we didn't get it that this would likely kill our dog. They quoted us $6000-9000 for the surgery. Needless to say we were terrified. We called Dr. Holder's office on Sunday and left a message explaining the situation. They called us right away on Monday morning, before the clinic even opened, and said they could get him in at 0930 and that if he needed to do surgery it would be $2000-3000. I was blown away. I had been praying that God would find a way to fix this situation and He provided. I cried tears of thankfulness. Dr. Holder is a fantastic Veterinarian. He knows his stuff. We will be taking our loved pets to him for as long as we can. 10/10 stars for him and for his staff (I think their names are Amber and Tara). EXCELLENT CARE!!!!

We have been trying to trim his nails for the longest time but he would snarl and get so mad when we would try. They accomplished the impossible when they lifted him right up on the table and he behaved wonderfully for them! We could not believe it. The staff of The Barking Spot is the best at what they do, so considerate of your fur babies needs, and we will never go anywhere else! 10/10!
