When we brought our sassy bocker in, these incredible women were SO accommodating and wonderful with him. We have been trying to trim his nails for the longest time but he would snarl and get so mad when we would try. They accomplished the impossible when they lifted him right up on the table and he behaved wonderfully for them! We could not believe it. Barking Spot has taken care of our dog for long time-periods, on two occasions in the past year. Most recently, my wife and I boarded our dog there for 4 months while we were at our winter home in Asia. Our dog was well cared for, and we periodically checked in on her while we were gone. Friends of mine recently brought their dog here to be trimmed versus making the hour-long drive to Green Bay to their normal groomer. They gave specific instructions on what they were looking for as far as length of hair on belly, etc. When the dog was picked up, they were in disbelief that a groomer would even think the haircut was acceptable. The dog was completely shaved, basically to the skin, with hair left on the head and tail. The groomer was unwilling to work with my friends to come to an agreement to fix the problem. Poor and unacceptable customer service. Isn't that the first rule to owning and running a business - provide exceptional customer service - wanting the customer to walk away being satisfied and spreading the word on the great service? I gave the Barking Spot one star because they did "groom" the dog....poorly. read more

While this may be a good place for dogs, it is not set up properly for cats. It's too noisy, too stuffy, and my cats did not touch their food nor their water while they were there. My one cat drank a whole bowl of water when he got home and the other ate his dry food as if he'd been starved. read more
