I want to give this place a better rating, but I just can't because aside from one or two people. The staff is just lazy and not friendly at all. 9/29/21. I was in 5 weeks ago. Bought a lot of stuff. I'm not rush so, should had been a nice check out. Well cashier rang up stuff twice. I hate being rushed, so I d not rush. When the over charge is $20 or more it feels like violation. I d n live in the area. I have business in the area. I d n have a t s near me. I visited today. Made my purchase. Bought 4 things. Should not be difficult. And it was not. I inquired about manager. Spoke to manager. He brought up my transaction. I was able to review. He refunded me on over charged item. I couldn't recall what else I had been over charged on. But being taken care of, listened to means a lot. I was surprised to receive a small refund. It really smoothed over the frustration, upset of being over charged. Thank you t s. I enjoy shopping in your stores. And will continue to shop in your stores. read more

This would get a five star review until today. I am not new to the franchise but a new pearland/alvin resident and a new tractor supply credit card holder after a rather large purchase this week. We stopped in our old rosenberg store for more of the green vinyl coop fencing that we bought in baycliff (only Place they had one) ran short wanted to match. They were out but checked pearland and alvin locations alvin had 177 in stock. We get there and go the service desk in center of the store. Katelyn was behind the desk. She answered a question or two to someone standing at chickens I waited my turn. She picked up a Paper and said I have to get this tagged, tapes something and never asked if she could help me and walked away. I asked where the item was she said outside. i walked outside a young man walking in when asked said he had no idea and kept walking. i am assuming he was doing something for a Customer Back inside another young man points to opposite side of store and he goes in the back also not offering to find it. None there either. FINALLY a young lady named jostlyn came from the back and offered to find out. She asked the lady at service desk (kaitlyn) said she didnt think they had any...when I said computer says 178 she rudely (in case I didnt Catch her rude earlier) said that happens I am the chicken person and dont have time For that I have customers (same guy that asked the two questions earlier). Joslyn bless her heart understands customer service. Evelyn was very nice out front and even greeted us as we entered. I dont know ifnit was because I was buying one 30 dollar roll of netting or she is placed Above her Ability but a customer Should never have to chase folks down and not have one find what they need or get someone that can. And rudeness is unacceptable. Does not matter that i spent over a grand yesterday in a Tractor supply even of I were buying a Pair Of Gloves. Shame on You kaitlyn. So I read the reviews and still went to the store. I went for a go cart that showed was available for pickup. When I got there I looked around a bit and looked at some safes and the lady there was kind enough to open the with out me asking her to. I really liked that. The safe I ended up liking was already sold but she was kind enough to call another store to see if they had it. I looked around some more and then spoke to another lady about the go cart but they had none. I was thankful that they listened and were willing to help. They said the store shows a go cart available but was wrong, only reason I did 4 stars. They suggested I order it online which I did but was not completely happy with my purchase. That's not the stores fault just the manufacture. read more

I've just recently moved to the area of Alvin. At first I wasn't impressed with the store. The store was dirty and had a lot missing merchandise, but the crew was friendly. In the pass months the store has clean up tremendously and gotten better in stock. The crew is still very helpful and friendly. I previously wrote a scathing review of this Tractor Supply. However, having gone back in the store recently I noticed some changes. I asked if they were under new management and was told that they were. Congratulations! I could actually find a parking spot because they moved the conglomeration of trailers to the front of the parking lot instead of right in front of the store. I could maneuver through the aisles because they were not full of merchandise that hadn't been put on the shelves. The feed area was well stocked and most of the merchandise had a noticeable price tag. Most of the associates made eye-contact and asked if I needed help. It's nice to see the improvements. However, the store still seems a bit dirty - but that may from being so old. I remember when that location was actually a K-Mart. Let's hope these improvements continue! read more

This store did not have the gates i wanted in stock, so while in the store, the associate helped me order the gates online. This was a time sensitive item, and i was assured they would arrive in 10 days. 10 days came and went, and when i inquired as to when they would arrive, i was told ten more days. Therefore, I cancelled the order and was told that a refund was initiated which was supposed to post to my bank account in 2-3 days. (i received an email confirming the refund initiation) It has now been over two weeks and still no refund. i have called customer service three times to inquire as to when the money will show up (over $500), and each time i have been told 2-3 days. customer service has been rude on one occasion, and unhelpful on all three. i have checked with my bank and they show no pending returns. Tractor supply is either a bunch of incompetents, liars, or both. very sad that i will now have to spend more time taking tractor supply to small claims court or finding another avenue to recover my money. The Alvin store doesn't appear to manage its inventory well. I understand periodically being out of something I'm looking for, however this store is a repeat bad offender. The Baytown; Lake Jackson; Mandeville, LA & Robertsdale, AL stores don't appear to have this issue. read more

I would not recommend this business. After purchasing an expensive Cub Cadet mower we were sold the wrong oil filter, this resulted in a repair bill because filter, etc. are not covered by warranty (surprise). We have asked to be reimbursed the full amount of our expense. We feel the store is responsible and should resolve situation! They were so agreeable the first time we talked.....since then we have been given the old run around. Have made numerous calls...we are put on hold forever.....been waiting almost three weeks for them to answer our last call. read more

The aisles always are crowded and it looks really junky around the registers. Usually only 1 person at the registers and they are slow and lord forbid you have a coupon or return, then it gets even slower. I think the cashiers need more training in how to handle things and they could most DEFINITELY be more friendly! YOu never see a smile or get a kind word out of them and never have I been asked if I found everything I was looking for. If Lowes was closer to me I'd use them more but TSC is closer even if I have to pay a little more. I just wish the people here a little bit of personality! read more

I would love to go there and get odds and ends, but NEVER buy chicks from them. After spending a few hundred dollars on hutches, supplies , brooding lamps etc, a girl there told me she could sex the chicks but got the method backwards, they force you to buy 6, tho I really needed only 3-4... well 5 out of 6 were all cockerels! Living in the city, I had to give them all away, after raising them and feeding them until they were clearly young roosters. My kids and I were attached to them, they cried and were devastated when I had to give them away, I told the store manager and corporates and they just didn't care. One lady who answered the phone at the store was rude! She said it was my fault! obviously in fear I would ask for my money back, but I only wanted to know where to give the cockerels away too.... ended up using craigslist because Tractor supply just became prideful and arrogant. the corporates were nicer but just said they would contact the store and have them call me back to fix the situation.... local store did nothing. Honestly, think they should have taken it out of that girls paycheck who sexed them wrong... the birds themselves didn't cost much, but everything else did.... people who work there don't know what they are doing! read more
