The machines are newer, and they have a *gasp* actual human present should anything go awry. The last time I used a laundromat when traveling the washing machine wouldn't open to let me get my clothes. There wasn't anyone on premises, and the phone number posted was worthless. I was told I would have to wait hours before a technician could get there. Trust me, if you're traveling, and need to wash some clothes, you couldn't find a better place. I don't use a laundromat at home, but if I lived here and needed to do laundry this place would absolutely be my choice.

When I inquired I was informed the price is a flat $2.50 per pound and that there had been no recent price change. When I asked about why I was only charged $30 at my previous visit they were not able to explain the difference. I recommend confirming the pricing if you intend to have laundry done by their service.

With young kids at home, I like to do the laundry after they are in bed. Even if I get them to bed by 8, I don't have much time to wash and dry a load of laundry. I had 10 minutes left on the dryer tonight when the 9 o'clock alarm sounded. I jump out of my skin every time I hear that. It is a 15 minute warning that the building will be armed at 9:15. So I spent the next 15 minutes trying to cover my ears and remove/fold laundry. Anyway, I would give it 5 stars if it stayed open a little later, or at least let those who are inside already finish up, and definitely make the alarm system much less dramatic, and quieter.

The tap-to-pay system also does not always work properly, and there have been instances where I was charged even though the payment did not go through. I was looking at a peak time. I started to call further and further outside of Burlington and finally found one storage unit available with Chimney Corners Self Storage. Deborah, the woman who answered the phone, was very helpful. She said the business was new and the units were new and clean. Given the fact I knew storage units were in high demand and low supply at the time, I jumped on opportunity and put down a deposit. I also found the business website to be very helpful and educational. I had my furniture and possessions in storage with Chimney Corners for 6 months, which was a lot longer than I expected I would need when I originally called. Regardless, the storage unit I rented was large, clean and I had no problems. There were a few times I needed to call and ask questions and the phone was answered almost every time and when it wasn't Deborah called me back right away. I felt like my furniture was safe and I very much appreciated the great customer service I received. I just moved all of my stuff out and if I needed to put things in storage again, I would happily do so here. Refreshingly easy and worry-free experience. Also, given the location right off of Exit 17, it was not far from Burlington - about 20 minutes - so it didn't feel that far at all.

I had an off the rack suit altered by a seamstress but there were some new issues created. So I brought it into Rigo who was mortified with the work. He pointed out issues that I had not noticed. Although he was booked into the next month he squeezed me in since I needed it ASAP for a series of upcoming interviews. Like a previous reviewer said, the place is somewhat old school. Trades like cobblers and tailors tend to be that way as our current society has shifted toward more efficient and cheaper fashion. And as a professional who provides a specialized service you will be charged as such. But you have to consider what this is worth to you. Rigo is friendly and paternalistic (he is not shy about voicing his disappointment in your suit fit). He was very conversant and talked about his life from Hungary to all over the US and serving in the military for a short time. In conclusion, if you need a suit tailored by a professional and willing to pay for the quality service this is THE place to go. I will update this when I receive the final result.
