You didn't like my first review?
Try this one, since you insisted.
I have never been so embarrassed in my life.
About four or five months ago, I got my nails done at TQ Nails. The polish didn't cure, the nails were mushy, and I had to come back to get them fixed. I didn't even leave a full review at the time -- no Google review, no Yelp review -- just a single comment saying, "I am NOT happy with my nails," hoping maybe someone would reach out.
I forgot about it. Small town, limited options, and honestly I had moved on. I decided to give them another chance.
Ten minutes into this new appointment -- acrylic already applied, not yet dry -- TWO employees walked up and shoved a phone and an iPad in my face asking, "Is this you?"
I acknowledged it, said something like, "Yes, I remember being unhappy, but I'm here giving you another try." It wasn't even a harsh comment. "I am unhappy with my nails" is not an attack, and it is definitely not something that warrants cornering a customer mid-service and demanding they delete their own post.
I was embarrassed, shocked, and upset. I asked to leave. Instead, I was made to sit there crying through the rest of the service, repeatedly asking how much longer until I could go. My anxiety was through the roof, and they still insisted on finishing the nails I no longer even wanted.
When it was finally over, I asked how much I owed. After everything -- the confrontation, the humiliation, the forced deletion of my comment -- they still charged me $60. Even going so far as to point at the security camera when i expressed my disgust. I asked to speak to the owner and was told "i am owner"
You embarrassed me publicly, triggered a full anxiety attack, pressured me into removing my own words, and then had the nerve to make me pay for it.
And by the way? The sidewalls are trash.
I will absolutely not be back.
