You get interviewed, but it is not your typical job interview, they really just want to know what you're interested in and what you're not interested in. Your background and goals are discussed so they can find a job that you want. They really care if you are happy in your job, and check-in with you as well. I appreciate their business model and the employees in the south location. I've also met the owners, and they're extremely sweet and hardworking. Once at their office, I was instructed to complete some computer skills testing before my actual interview began. I met with Carmen, the branch manager, who was very friendly and approachable. I felt very comfortable as we talked about my job criteria and skills, and she explained to me how they operate. As an update to my earlier post on September 17th, I am STILL if you can believe it, waiting to…read morereceive my payroll deposit from the City of Edmonton job I had earlier this month!! :( 1st response from my Recruiter earlier this week on the 22nd: 'I'll have a look and get back to you ASAP.' All this past week, he hadn't gotten back to me, so I figured as today's Friday, the screw up would have been straightened out and I would have received my deposit. Nope! 2nd response when I checked my RBC account and again, the e-mail response from my Recruiter when I had e-mailed him earlier today: 'I'm not sure what is holding it up, I have sent a message to our payroll department to follow up with them once more - Hopefully I can get a response as to what is causing the delay. I checked my bank account again- and STILL no deposit. Does THIS give you an idea of what you could be dealing with??? I expect much better professionalism and client customer service than what I've been getting. But it's no big deal, it's only money??!! :(

I used Executrade to find temp work about a year and a half ago, and decided to use them again…read morerecently for the same reason. Everyone I've worked with here, from the receptionist to the office admin staff to the recruiters have been really exceptional - super friendly, professional, helpful and prompt. After you first contact them (send them your resume, call, etc.), you can either go into the office or complete a couple of tests from your home computer - typing, data entry, Microsoft Office. I'm not sure if there are different tests for different types of jobs, but I would assume so. I've only ever indicated interest in office admin types of jobs. Of course, the time it takes you to get a job depends on what jobs they have available, but I've always had luck and gotten jobs right away. I've only used them for temp work so far, but they are also able to help you find contract or permanent work. I will certainly use them when I'm looking for a job again, even for permanent. Why not have someone who can perfectly match me with a job and enjoy doing it on my side? I've used other temp agencies before, and Executrade is the best I've used. High quality people and jobs. Highly recommended.
