Office Team specializes in finding people temp work in the administrative field. They called me within days of my online registration to set up an interview the following week. Once at their office, I was instructed to complete some computer skills testing before my actual interview began. I met with Carmen, the branch manager, who was very friendly and approachable. I felt very comfortable as we talked about my job criteria and skills, and she explained to me how they operate. Their team consists of four staffing managers who seek individuals to fill temp positions with their clients. I was very impressed that they also screen and interview client companies to ensure that these would be good places for people to work for. So they really take care of you here at the Office Team. So they no longer provide the wonderful service they used to in order to help people stay afloat while looking for full time or permanent work.

All this past week, he hadn't gotten back to me, so I figured as today's Friday, the screw up would have been straightened out and I would have received my deposit. Nope! 2nd response when I checked my RBC account and again, the e-mail response from my Recruiter when I had e-mailed him earlier today: 'I'm not sure what is holding it up, I have sent a message to our payroll department to follow up with them once more - Hopefully I can get a response as to what is causing the delay. I checked my bank account again- and STILL no deposit. Does THIS give you an idea of what you could be dealing with??? I expect much better professionalism and client customer service than what I've been getting. But it's no big deal, it's only money??!! :(

I initially came in around springtime after deciding to try and pick up another part time job to save money for moving. I answered TPD's ad for concession associates at Rexall and received a call about coming in for an interview the same day I sent out the resume. I will say when you come down to their office it is rather small and just not the type of place you would expect a professional staffing company to place their location at. The lady I met with though was very polite,professional,and kind. I really appreciated how well she treated me despite the fact I looked horrifying that day due to an extremely bad head cold. We went through their policies and procedures handbook and I really got the feeling that worker safety and respectful treatment is at the forefront of their concerns. I mentioned that to her when we were done and she let me know that there are several companies that TPD no longer provides staff for due to employee concerns about scheduling,safety,and overall poor treatment. I thought this was nice as I hear alot of stories from regular temp agency users about how they don't feel the agency is a strong enough representative for them and their rights as they don't want to upset the clients. I was also surprised with how good the pay was for that particular position as I had applied for it once before several years ago directly through Northlands and they were only offering minimum wage at the time and I know that policy hasn't changed since I applied all those years ago whilst still in college. TPD however offers their workers $11.00/hour and I believe they also have a health plan for their workers once they pass 3 months. Had I not found better paying opportunities on my own shortly after meeting with them I gladly would have stuck with TPD. They treat their workers well and while I find alot of the other agencies in the city seem to deal mostly with office and trades workers TPD had an abundance of opportunities for retail and hospitality workers like myself.

Everyone I've worked with here, from the receptionist to the office admin staff to the recruiters have been really exceptional - super friendly, professional, helpful and prompt. After you first contact them (send them your resume, call, etc.), you can either go into the office or complete a couple of tests from your home computer - typing, data entry, Microsoft Office. I'm not sure if there are different tests for different types of jobs, but I would assume so. I've only ever indicated interest in office admin types of jobs. Of course, the time it takes you to get a job depends on what jobs they have available, but I've always had luck and gotten jobs right away. I've only used them for temp work so far, but they are also able to help you find contract or permanent work. I will certainly use them when I'm looking for a job again, even for permanent. Why not have someone who can perfectly match me with a job and enjoy doing it on my side? I've used other temp agencies before, and Executrade is the best I've used. High quality people and jobs. I saw some great board games and other items (most of which I already owned otherwise I would have bought them) and all the proceeds went to the Mustard Seed. This shows a certain commitment to the community which is great! :)
