They get to know who you are, which is so important as they will ensure you are credible to the company you will be working for. It's essential to have a good relationship. You get interviewed, but it is not your typical job interview, they really just want to know what you're interested in and what you're not interested in. Your background and goals are discussed so they can find a job that you want. They really care if you are happy in your job, and check-in with you as well. I appreciate their business model and the employees in the south location. I've also met the owners, and they're extremely sweet and hardworking. The web site is not for you to go and work someplace, but for you to apply for work. So they no longer provide the wonderful service they used to in order to help people stay afloat while looking for full time or permanent work.

Office Team specializes in finding people temp work in the administrative field. They called me within days of my online registration to set up an interview the following week. Once at their office, I was instructed to complete some computer skills testing before my actual interview began. I met with Carmen, the branch manager, who was very friendly and approachable. I felt very comfortable as we talked about my job criteria and skills, and she explained to me how they operate. Their team consists of four staffing managers who seek individuals to fill temp positions with their clients. As an update to my earlier post on September 17th, I am STILL if you can believe it, waiting to…read morereceive my payroll deposit from the City of Edmonton job I had earlier this month!! :( 1st response from my Recruiter earlier this week on the 22nd: 'I'll have a look and get back to you ASAP.' All this past week, he hadn't gotten back to me, so I figured as today's Friday, the screw up would have been straightened out and I would have received my deposit. Nope! 2nd response when I checked my RBC account and again, the e-mail response from my Recruiter when I had e-mailed him earlier today: 'I'm not sure what is holding it up, I have sent a message to our payroll department to follow up with them once more - Hopefully I can get a response as to what is causing the delay. I checked my bank account again- and STILL no deposit. Does THIS give you an idea of what you could be dealing with??? I expect much better professionalism and client customer service than what I've been getting. But it's no big deal, it's only money??!! :(

They were able to get me someone for 8 weeks, with only 48 hours notice. I do not know how their rates compare to other agencies, but you do pay a premium for the service. However when you don't have 2-4 weeks to wait to hire someone yourself, you've got pay the premium :)

This was my first experience with a headhunter, and I was less than impressed. They had a 2 hours…read moreinterview where I was asked to answer a pre-selected set of questions to multiple different people - for two hours I essentially had to repeat myself to different people. These different people were also thrown into the situation without any background knowledge or a reason as to why they were interviewing me. The last person I spoke to was completely rude to me at the end of the interview, as she asked me if i had any questions for her - thing is I wasn't sure why she was interviewing me as she was the head of the temporary positions and I was applying for full-time positions only. After the interview they sent me a test to prove my office management skills, which is totally understandable, but what happened next with this company made me believe i was jumping through hoops for nothing. I e-mailed my reference with the company the next day to speak about the results of my test and never got an e-mail back. Instead I got a call from another member of their team asking me to give them a call at my earliest convenience. I gave them a call the next day and left a message. I got no call back after a week so I called back only to get an answering machine again. After leaving a second message i was quite frustrated. It is now a month later from the original call I received, and after two messages left I have yet to receive any call back. This company has terrible communication skills with their potential employees, and I would not recommend them to anyone. It was a very disappointing first experience with headhunters!
