Played TPC again yesterday (03/31) and have zero complaints. The ladies in the bar/restaurants were remarkably friendly and accommodating. All staff were helpful. Course is in great shape - fast greens that were smooth, clean fairways, beautiful water features, and nice tee boxes. Practice facility is top notch. Don't let the critics scare you away. I really enjoyed this course! Tee time was around noon. Warmed up at the practice range which was everything you need and would expect from a TPC. Grabbed some lunch and a drink before the round which was very good. All the staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. The course layout is beautiful and challenging but very fair and playable. Lots of water and trees in play so good course management is required. The course is in great condition. No it's not pebble beach but for the price point it was in outstanding shape. Really don't have one bad thing to say about the course. Bunkers were excellent condition. Greens were true. Fairways and tee boxes well maintained. Give this course a try. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in town. read more

TPC Tampa offers an excellent course layout to golfers of all levels. The course is very fair and all trouble is visible from the tee area. The course was in excellent condition 1/4/23. The inside golf staff was very helpful both on the phone when making a tee time as well as in person checking in to play. Sean was at the counter the morning I was at the course and he made me feel welcomed to be there. This was my first time playing TPC and I recommend playing here if you are in the area. Course conditions were excellent and the starter Mark and the beverage cart staff Brook was very accommodating. I look forward to playing again on my next trip to Tampa. Food in the grill after the round is excellent and the portions are large. I recommend the fried tomato sandwich. read more

A shame, really. This place used to be very well kept and one of the best facilities in Tampa. Now the range is poorly kept weed garden. I paid $50 for a practice pass and ended up hitting beat up pinnacles out of a hitting area that looked like its last rotation was a week or more ago. Save your self $40 and hit pinnacles elsewhere. read more

Played there October 31st with a group of 10 players. The condition of the course was way below standards for something at half the cost. TPC should rethink association with this place. $125/player for shaggy greens, wet tee boxes and fairways and a driving range that Tin Cup would be ashamed to run. The range was essentially sand with a few bits of grass sprinkled in to hit off. There wasn't much rain the night before so there has to either be drainage issues or problems with the sprinkler systems leaking everywhere. Sinking into the tee boxes on several holes that were soaked. So disappointed and disgusted as we played here 10 years ago and it is like night and day. read more

First off let me say the staff at Cuatro and the young man checking the bags were excellent! The course however was a little disappointing. I was very excited to play and thought with the $135 price tag and TPC name the course would be excellent. Not so much. The greens were very spotty and they had just put sand down on them. Had a lot of spots the were just sand. The fairways were very nice. The rough had some dry and dead spots. Some of the area surrounding the course was pretty nasty as well. The course layout is very challenging and it makes you make good shots which I liked. All in all I just don't think the course was worth the price to play. read more

Beautiful and challenging course. First time playing here while on vacation. Had lunch at the clubhouse. Service was a little slow but the food was excellent. So disappointed by an interaction we had as patrons with TPC's "Jeff". While happily dining outdoors at Cuatro (where the service provided by the staff was excellent) our well behaved children played close by. We have been going to Cuatro for years and this has never been an issue. Jeff came out to our table and asked us to help him with a problem...what started out as a "sure, whatever you need," quickly changed when he said that his "customers that are paying $250 a round and don't want to see the kids". He went on with the rudeness and we were done. If Jeff wasn't comfortable with the kids out there, he could have simply asked us to get the kids back up to the dining area, in a respectful manner. Instead he was insulting, rude and inappropriate. If this is a problem, perhaps consider putting up signs such as "no children allowed", or "keep off this area". It is very disappointing, as a member of the Lutz community, to be treated like this. I called "Jeff" to talk further as to what the expectations were with children, but he never called me back. We will no longer be giving business to TPC. read more

TPC Tampa Bay doesn't get much fanfare, but I found it to be an enjoyable course in great condition. I wouldn't consider it to be all that memorable, but the course was in excellent shape. About an inch of rain fell earlier in the day, and you wouldn't know it by the time i teed off at 530. Clubhouse attendant was friendly, however the bag boy could best be described as a inattentive teenager - did little more than take up space while playing on his phone and as I unloaded and loaded my own clubs. (No tip for him!) Although it's not often talked about among the other TPC courses, TPC Tampa Bay is a very enjoyable round for the price (Paid less than $60 for an evening round) read more

Two stars because I love playing golf. I was a single got paired up with 3 other guys. The starter told me to get out of my cart and get into theirs. I've never had that happen. Paying $200 I should get my own cart if I'm a single. I was in the restaurant 3 times. Morning at the turn and after the round. The lady who opened the place in the morning- all she did was complain. Even complained about other customers. Course was in OK shape. Not the best. They said they updated the kitchen menu. Food was average at best. I'm from Chicago not here but for 200 I'm sure you can find better. I played tpc Scottsdale and tpc myrtle beach in the last year and both courses were head and shoulders above this one kinda disappointed. read more

Golf course was very average to below average. Greens were nice but I expected much more from a place that brags that the pros play there. I'm not trying to be unfair but this was really a two star golf course everything looked like its just not taken care of. The only true pictures from the ones you see online are the Proshop and grill. Everything else is like false advertising. Don't waste your money and time. Very very underwhelming. So, things change... We book a twosome for Friday. He gives us 10:28. My playing partner says one of us is a Paradise Card holder, and asks how much for me. He's told "about forty, could be around $35 depending on the time." (yes, I know there's already something weird about that but...) So when I get there I get rung up for $56. I ask "what happened to 40, possibly $35? He says "there's a $15 surcharge on weekends." Me: It's Friday. "We consider Friday the weekend" I'm told. Then, it's August. It's Florida. It's hot. When the starter calls us from the range, we see the group in front of us hasn't teed off yet, so we mention we're gonna shoot up to the clubhouse and get some drinks. He's a great guy and says that there is a cart girl on the course and he'll send her our way... cool. Well we never saw her for the entire front nine. We stopped a ranger and asked where she was. Again, no straight answer. First it was the cart broke down. Then we are told they had a big group going off later and she was called off the course to help set up. She shows up on the 12th hole with a third story about having to train a new staffer... Wow. I've played here many times. This has never happened before. The starter pairs us up with a single who happens to be a member. We learn from the member that the TPC sold out and the new corporate team that took over is "one of those groups only interested in squeezing out every dime possible." When asked the whereabouts of a couple of long time staff we didn't see, he told us that all the good, long term staff became quickly disgusted and quit. What a beautiful golf course. From the moment I dropped by bag off to the time I had my bag off the cart the staff members are top notch. You don't have to be a VIP to be treated like one here at the TPC Tampa. A bag of range balls was placed in my cart. Only one thing I hope for my next visit is an upgrade on the range balls. They are outdated. After I finished practicing, I was greeted by starter. Gave me option to play as a single or join a group. Preferred single due to time. I enjoyed every moment in the course. From tee to green the course was in great shape. I wished had more time to study the course layout but the GPS provided ample information about each hole. It is a challenging course. Played from the TPC tee box (6898 yds for Handicap 0-5) and it played long. The shortest Par 3 was Hole 6 (144 yds) and the rest Par 3's are close to 200 yds. Longest Par 5 is just under 600 yds. Water almost on every holes but that's what makes it challenging and brings out your best or worst out of you. Thank goodness I better side came out and played. It's well priced just over $100. Can't wait until next time. read more

Tee boxes were punched and hopefully going to fill in well. Also, sandtraps were basically cement or filled with water most of the time which made playing from the sand impossible. Course was in pretty good condition otherwise. I'm not sure that I would say the course was worth $100 to play, but definitely nice overall. Everything is a little pricier here than anywhere else I have played, so just keep that in mind that anything beyond your round of golf is also going to add up fairly quickly. read more

I rated this two stars mainly for the reason that this course is just not worth the price. $100 for a round on 4/19. Don't get me wrong...It is a nice course and the greens are firm and rolling. The layout of this course is fantastic. Picking your sight lines off the tee can be challenging and requires you to work the ball in both directions. Pin placements can also be challenging make this course a true test of your game. Unfortunately, the conditions have really deteriorated. Perhaps due to the pandemic they haven't had the money to put into the greens or practice facility. Most were damaged and fringes were not maintained. Also, the slowest I have seen them run. Maybe a 7 on the stimpmeter. Hope to see it improve cause I've always been a fan. read more

Just got done with a 5 lesson package with Scott Schulte at TPC Tampa. Great experience so far and planning to reante for another 5 lessons. Scott is very knowledgeable about the game and how to teach it. He looks for small victories from each lesson to keep me progressing and getting better. Takes videos as well and email/text them to you with commentary so you can view and remember the things you worked on. Looking forward to working with Scott and could recommend more! -Eric read more

As an event facility this place is beautiful and has a wonderful entrance and view in the back of the golf course. I've tried the drinks at the bar in the past and they were all great - the food I sampled was also satisfactory. When you pay top dollar for golf, you expect an amazing course. I have been to this course twice now and I don't feel like the value is there. The first time last year, the green's fees were $200. There were so many leaves on the fairways, it was hard to find my ball at times. I played there on Thursday last week for $79 for the round. There has been a minor amount of rain lately and the fairways were squishy and muddy, although only one hole was cart path only (hole 1 and there wasn't any discernible reason that hole was cart path only as the conditions were perfect). There golf carts don't have some of the technology available at other course I have played recently like Fox Hollow or Cheval. It's not a terrible place to play but you can play better courses for half the money. Pretty disappointing. read more

Had a tee time confirmed for 1pm today. I took out 3 executives from Florida Hospital to enjoy a round of golf. The certificate I provided for the whole 4some didn't include the cart fees, which I picked up for the 4some. To my surprise, the cart fees were 140.00 for the round, which is just disgraceful. I paid 150.00 for the raffle certificate to have a round of 4 people for a golf. The cart fees, plus golf, was a total of 290.00 dollars for 4 people to play golf. To make matters worse, the girls USF golf team was, 4(4somes), teed off behind us, which were basically up out behinds all day. So, by being overcharged, over rushed, I will never, ever schedule a tournament, round of golf, or even a reservation at Quattro, the failing restaurant, at TPC Tampabay. Search around for a lot better deals, prices, and good food before choosing this place. I know I will. read more

We had a group of two foursomes play there last week, disappointed. We spent about $1400 dollars for golf, lunch and replay. The restaurant staff was very good, the starter was friendly and the course was in very good shape. We wanted to get two rounds in but got our afternoon times bumped back by about 20 minutes, the front nine was painfully slow so we went into the pro-shop at the turn to pay (they forgot to charge us) and to complain a little about the slow play and getting us off to a late start. We were told to to play the front nine again, we said OK but asked if there was something they could do on the price because that's not what we paid for. The big guy behind the desk could have said sorry or there's nothing I can really do, but instead decided to give the other guy in the shop a quizzical, sarcastic look, tell us how the other group didn't complain and offered not even an apology. We had this course in our rotation for years and were treated with the professionalism and courtesy you would expect from a TPC course. I guess that they no longer follow that traditional philosophy. Bumped it from our rotation. read more

Went to Tampa last week and happened to bring my golf clubs along with me. I decided to give TPC Tampa a go since I am a fan of the TPC San Antonio courses. The course itself was very nice, with lots of water on several holes, but not particularly long or challenging if you keep it in the fairway. I was paired with a two-some on the back nine since I was a single; however, when I made the turn I had to play the front nine by myself because all groups ahead were foursomes. The practice facilities were equally nice. My only complaint is the clubhouse; the locker rooms are ancient and definitely not comparable to TPC standards. The shower was dirty, there were no lockers available for guests and the towels looked like they were bought in 1975 and never replaced. However, the rest of the experience, including the entire staff, was great. The starter went out of his way to find me a two-some and the cart girl was very attentive. I am not sure I would return at the cost of the green fee but it was definitely a good experience. read more

Challenging layout. Played here after Christmas and the course was in fine shape. This course will eat you alive if you can't hit the ball straight. I'm an ordinary hacker and this place killed me, but I still enjoyed it. The course rewarded you for your good shots. Pace of play wasn't the greatest with a stack up on the back nine, but that didn't really bother me. Got paired with a couple local guys, and they were nice. read more

This track is very well kept and a lot of fun to play. Has an exceptional staff. They really do convey an interest in having a good time. Pro shop is very nice, and have a very nice selection of product to offer. Having come over for a round while visiting a local golf resort, found this experience surpassed anything we found there. Believe it or not - these people actually followed up our round with an email enquiry as to how they enjoyed US coming. For just a couple of average golfers whom have been to a lot of golf resorts and courses, this was a first! Probably only got the follow up because I booked the ttime on line. Done that many a time! But had such a good experience it was a joy to respond to it. read more

Played 3 rounds of golf which were very enjoyable. Very accommodating staff who are definitely customer service oriented. Greens rolled true, were in great condition and fast. Fairways and rough are also in great shape. A few tee boxes are pretty sandy but ultimately make no difference. Nothing of importance to complain about.
