If you have ever thought about trying the game of golf...then this is the place you need to come to for outstanding golf instruction. These golf classes caters to ladies only. And the classes are limited to 6 students. This way, you get personal attention & instruction. The 10 hour class I attended , met Monday - Friday for 2 hours a day. Also, the instructor offers private lessons for both men and women. Sandra Chester is the LPGA teaching professional that will guide you through the basics along with her great assistant Kim. They have excellent booklets, with great illustrations for both right and left handed golfers. The booklets cover everything from general golf course information to equipment that you will need. From day 1 we not only had indoor class time, we also headed outside for hands on putting. I would truly recommend these classes to all ladies from the beginners to those who just want to learn the correct way to stand, hold your club, or just improve your game. Thanks to Sandra and Kim, I now feel that I can play a game and not make a total fool of myself. These ladies know the game of golf but more importantly, they know how to teach the rest of us the game!!! I plan on taking a few private lessons just to refine my swing.

She had a club-by-club method that really gets you to understand the mechanics of golf and your body. You also get handy books that she wrote to refer back to once you leave her lessons. I went back after two years and took a couple of private lessons to advance my game. Made a huge difference in my playing.

On course A, hole #8, par 5 from the gold tees. I hit my driver flush, tracking straight along the left side of the fairway OVER the large leafless tree for about 150 yards. Someone that provides information without having to wait until he feels like letting us in on his little secret. We would love to play there more but his demeanor never changes . otherwise the course is in ok shape- fairways are a bit sparse, tee boxes appear to be greening up nicely, looks like a lot of new sand in the bunkers, and the greens are a little bumpy and patchy but not bad.

My expectations were pretty low, but I was MORE than pleasantly surprised. The facility is immaculate! The course is one of the finest I've seen, and all the practice areas are just as well cared for. Brian, the director of instruction who was conducting the clinic, greeted us at the carts. He quickly processed my payment, then chatted with the other participants and I while we waited for a couple of others. When it was apparent they weren't coming, Brian got to work. He provided us with a folder that contained a waiver, some brochures, and some documents we could use to track our data (yardage with each club, progress putting, etc). Brian gave us a thorough explanation of what they were for and how to use them. We were provide drinks & sunscreen to keep safe & healthy. With that, we were off to the "classroom". Brian talked about how we could adjust our posture to make our swing (in putting, chipping and pitching) more consistent. Since this was a short game scoring clinic we started on the putting green. Brian gave us some technical information, then some drills to practice what he'd explained. It was similar with our work on chipping & pitching. Along the way Brian used some high tech electronic gizmos to help reinforce his teaching and to measure how far we were hitting the ball. Super helpful information for those firms he gave us earlier. Before I knew it our time was up! Normally 2 hours in Florida heat feels like an eternity, but we were having fun and learning so much the time flew by. Brian gave us some nice souvenirs and sent us on our way. He made a point to remind the class that he hoped to see us out again, or at least to let him know how we were improving. He was truly interested in helping us improve and enjoy the game more.

I love Golf but not as much as I love you. So I thank you again. Here's my honest take on how I feel about Golftec. Hopefully, this helps anyone interested in joining. It's got it's pros and cons and I don't believe it's a one size fits all. If you're a Golf novice, you love the game, you have an urge to learn the fundamentals, and you have the time and the cash to spend. This may be a good choice for you. I'd recommend that you take it slow though. Learn golf etiquette, get some pointers from a Golf coach (maybe try Groupon or your local range), try to develop your own unique swing so that way you have something to improve upon once you're ready to go all-in at Golftec. Once you check off those boxes, take a look at the packages at GT and see which one suits you best. I got a 15 lesson package, good for 12 months. In a nutshell. You pick your instructor, You pick a schedule that works for you (this can be managed via the Golftec mobile app) Each lesson is 30 minutes. During your lesson, you'll be hooked up to cables that will provide you with data on your swing. Your video analysis can be found on the GT website, so you can always go back for a refresher. Pretty cool. Practice sessions are unlimited, You can go at any time during hours of operation and practice at any Golftec location. Again, these sessions can be set up on the mobile app. All in all, I recommend Golftec. The packages are worth the price point. My golf game is more on the average side. The 15 lesson package was more than enough. Personally, I would've been happy with a 10 lesson package and bypassing the fitting session as I found it to be overkill. Your membership gives you access to all 180+ locations nationwide. But please note. Not all locations are created equal. This Golftec location was the most up to date by far IMHO. Parking can be a pain though, especially if you go after 5 pm. In closing. If you're dedicated to becoming the best golfer you can be, you take time to play regularly and you have the money to invest. Go for it. My experience at GT was solid. My coach Tony kept it fun and I enjoyed working with him. Thanks for reading.
