The people who checked me in and out were fast, friendly and knowledgeable about any questions I had. I had a single queen, with microwave and mini fridge, all I could ask for really. Some storage space that includes drawers and a closet, desk and its own desk chair. Honestly, they could probably put a little couch or something in there, the room was spacious enough, it probably wouldn't be in the way. The hotel was busy most days, and the bathroom was kind of big as well. I don't have people change my sheets and clean my room every day, but I'm glad when I did need things replaced, staff were on it! I believe they offered breakfast, which I didn't partake, because I don't wake up early enough and sleep until I must leave for work. But they also had a little bar built in as well which I wish I would have tried at least once, but maybe next time!

We arrived late- around 10:30'at night-- and James and Christiana were both at the front desk. James was able to give my husband a great rate and Christiana was exceptionally warm, friendly, helpful and hospitable. Our room was refreshingly clean, as evidenced by its smell and the way in which the shower curtain was positioned. My only complaint is the towels are a bit rough and not so thick, unfortunately usually the standard due to excessive washing, etc. We went down for breakfast the following morning and was cheerfully greeted by Jenni B., who advised us to ask her if we needed anything. We wound up talking with this wonderful employee, an asset to this property. ( addendum: she was just as personable today, interacting and assisting all guests). The buffet was actually one of the best we've encountered ( we have been traveling for the majority of the last month and staying at Marriott, Hilton and IHG properties). This is the first hotel to have signs stating what's available, calories, etc. To be brief, the cut fruit was fresh, the breakfast potatoes excellent ( Jenni told me how they were cooked), and the caramel French toast bake decadent! It smelled like autumn...yum!!!!! There is a gym, which I didn't have the time to use, but was an open and airy space. There is an indoor pool and small hot tub, which I saw some guests enjoy. There is an nice and inviting lobby / sitting area, with a beautiful fireplace surrounded in ledger stone, and a restaurant: bar, which we went to for drinks last night ( see Maplewood Bar and Grill ), and Alyssa the bartender was yet another exceptional employee. One negative is that our room was not serviced ( bed made, towels changed, etc) on our first full day. I informed Christiana who was back on duty and she said she'd take care of it. And she did: when we arrived back in our room a few hours later, it was clean, etc. The real value of this place is the aforementioned staff who truly made this stopover fantastic.

From the gentleman who watches over breakfast- has a nice friendly smile and anticipating our needs. The staff at the desk were very warm and courteous. We didn't use the cleaning service because we like our room undisturbed but they greeted us in the hallway and provided fresh towels to us. The rooms were spacious and clean. Loved the kitchenette. Great water pressure in the shower. I would recommend this hotel. Only thing that was concerning were some random sketchy individuals outside at night. I wouldn't recommend anyone walk alone outside at night. There are some nice bars and restaurants in the area.

He booked the hotel because the reviews and price looked okay and everything was fine until we got up to the room. There were roaches and a weird yellowish stain on the bed. I went downstairs to complain about the roaches (around 11pm atp) and the older man working at the front desk LAUGHS at me and says that I'm lucky it's not bedbugs. I was kind of stunned so I just stood there confused and he kind of just shrugged and was like "Yeah, sometimes the housekeeping keeps the door open and they come in from outside." We were on the third level. Would not stay here again under any circumstances. I'd just sleep in the car.

We knew it was a gamble and things would definitely need to worked on or tweaked. I went to the spa for the day and while both my massage and facial were great, the rest was not. All of the outdoor amenities were closed. The small hot tub in the relaxation area was crowded. I also had a similar experience as another reviewer where I had minimal explanation or tour. I did not realize until this last time I visited that you had to ask for the salt room to be turned on. I had no idea what I was doing sitting in a confined room with some salt on the wall? I was shocked at an $8 delivery fee for a beverage one flight up! We were going to have dinner at the restaurant but after looking at the menu, hearing how expensive it is, and seeing only one table dining, we decided against it and took the complimentary shuttle into the village. We did have after dinner cocktails at the restaurants bar which were fantastic, but the restaurant was still empty. We spent the night and the room was fantastic. I recently attended the spa with some friends and honestly can't say much has improved since my original visit. When I arrived they said I was there for a 1030am facial and a 430pm massage. I said no that is incorrect I booked them back to back. The woman at reception stated they have a confirmation phone call that someone spoke with me and I confirmed. I 100% never received a phone call/voicemail from the spa. I never would have confirmed this either as I wanted the services back to back timing. She then went on to say, they left me a voicemail. So I say they didn't speak to me, but now it's they left a VM? I also did not have a VM. I went through my 100s of spam emails and found a confirmation email, unread and never confirmed. The receptionist was kind enough to offer a "one time complimentary cancel", gee thanks. There clearly are some issues with their booking system. We also never filled out the spa forms which I think should be mandatory for all guests, especially if people have medical or health concerns. Never once did they ask me to fill it out prior to my services. We did get a tour this time which was ok. They have these new barrel saunas which cost an additional $95 for 50min I believe!! I find it strange there is not one clock to be found. I don't like to carry my phone around and it would be nice to know what time it is so we are able to be in the relaxation area in time for our services. We had lunch in the restaurant in our robes, because we refused to pay a delivery fee and wanted something more substantial than the mere few spa snack items. I had the pizza on special and espresso martini which both were phenomenal! My friends also enjoyed their dishes. My one friend ordered a daiquiri but what she received was a margarita. They were accommodating and corrected it. Overall, two pretty meh visits. Unless they improve a lot or the prices come down, I'm not sure I'll visit again.

The apartment was around the back of the hotel which was a very far walk. There were many broken down grills, chairs, patio furniture and not well kept at all. I was so disappointed. The weeds surrounding the walkway to the door were very high. Right outside the door a broken table, rusted tabletop grill and the propane tank partially attached. I wish I took photos but I knew at this point her bday weekend was most likely going to be ruined. Inside was worse. Mold, oven was horrible, the "couch" was a stained futon. Paint chipped and peeling off the wall. It was so disgusting! Then---because I didn't want the weekend to be a complete bust. I asked to see a room with two beds. This is where I went in and cleaned myself trying to salvage the weekend. The coffee maker had old grounds in it; not cleaned out. The ice bucket had something in it. It was horrible. I asked to get my money back and leave after showing the owner the pictures of the dirt. He initially said yes and will fully refund my money. So I packed the car back up. Mind you this was supposed be o be a full weekend celebrating my daughter's birthday. I bought steaks and shrimp, ice cream cake, salads etc. He then said - no I am not refunding the money because you went in the room and I have I pay someone to clean it now. This was so disappointing on so many levels. I worked very hard to give my daughter a wonderful weekend and it was an epic fail. I hope no one ever has this experience. I am a single mom, I saved for this and her entire birthday was ruined not to mention losing 170 bucks I was charged for the dirty room and the money most for her birthday cake that melted and the rest of the food that couldn't used.
