There was no one performing on stage, but the microphones were on, so my friend and I started singing Kelly Clarkson. Instead of simply asking us to stop or step away, the security guard, John, grabbed both of us by the arms and forcibly escorted us out while repeatedly telling us to leave. We immediately cooperated and even told him there was no reason to handle us that way. A simple "Please step down and leave" would have been enough. While escorting us out, he also kicked a drink toward my fiancé, told her he would "hit her like a man," and called me a "skank." Security has the right to enforce a venue's rules and remove guests, but that does not give someone the right to use unnecessary force or make threatening and degrading comments. We were willing to leave, we just expected to be treated with basic respect. Very disappointing experience. Don't come here if you want to have fun

But maybe it is a bit more, as the simple location and decor hide the fine quality of the food and beverage served here. It really is a great place to eat and drink, no disappointments. True Score: 3.5 Stars…read more Interesting spot, nice owner. True Score: 3.75 Stars My wife and I stopped by for dinner and catch the start of the live band The Restaurant opens at 4pm and we got there at 7:15. The staff were friendly and the service was decent. The food was okay but not outstanding. The lobster risotto contained very little lobster and was extremely salty. The pizza was pretty good, roni with burnt edges. However the lobster risotto ($25) and clam chowder ($8) were too pricey for the just okay quality of the food. The staff were very nice and I wish I could give it a higher rating, but the food quality just wasn't where it should be for the prices. Nice touch with the live band, pretty good and we think we met Jack himself. He was a great guy. We would definitely go back. Thanks

Found Eli's Pub while searching for somewhere to have dinner and a cocktail: Eli's Tavern looked perfect so off we went! We arrived about 4:45 so there were no other guests except another couple. Lucky for us it was $10 burger night. The menu has a large selection of pub fare. Three of us chose the burger special. Two of our friends chose to have a Rachel. The place began filling up while we were enjoying our drinks - a popular place on a Monday night! Everything was delicious. The burgers were big, juicy with a delicious flavor while the turkey on the Rachel's was moist and tasty. All in all an excellent choice for us out-of- towners: great prices, really good food and a relaxing place to spend about 90 minutes while waiting to line up for the ferry.
