Customer service is terrible. Towne Properties provides HOA "support" to my neighborhood in Lewis Center. They will not provide copies of HOA deeds/covenants unless charged. They also don't hold neighbors accountable and responsible for following the approved color palette for exterior paint options. Towne is truly awful! If I could give zero stars, I would. I am so happy they no longer manage my apartment complex because everything got so much worse when they took over. They are completely unresponsive, almost impossible to communicate with via email, phone, or in-person, they overcharged me rent for months and it took ages before I could get anyone to pay attention to that concern. They let my AC go unfixed all summer, the pool heater broke before covid and their famous line to all residents who asked was "we're waiting on a part." Apparently it takes more than 5 years to acquire that part. Even when you take it upon yourself to seek out the higher-ups for help, they really never follow through either. If Towne ever takes over your living arrangements, save yourself the headache and just run! If you're unlucky enough to be stuck with them, be sure to document everything. read more

I can't imagine a worse property management company. They are unresponsive to tenat needs- always claiming the "manager" is in meetings. They make up policies to suit themselves that aren't written down anywhere. They don't know what is going on on the property because they are never on-site. 110% a money-hungry company. I have had automatic payment setup for my HOA since I moved in 5 years ago. In the last year, this company changed the site they use to collect payment and after 4 glitches, they've charged me continuous late fees. I contacted Brenda Maynard; she was extremely rude and did nothing to resolve the issue, in fact, she attempted to belittle me and then never responded back again. I have always paid my HOA fees, but they've attempted to turn off access to the clubhouse (which I pay for!). It is no wonder people in this neighborhood refuse to pay their HOA fees. Towne Properties took over the maintenance of the Meadow Grove Reserve Condo Association in Grove City back November 2021. Since then the area around the the properties has fallen into disarray. This is what you get for a couple hundred dollars + a month for your maintenance or lack there of.... leaves from last autumn still piled up in front flower beds, nonexistent snow removal until several calls and complaints. When crew did come out they did a horrible job clearing drives and roadway per contract. Residents had to shovel out areas to get vehicles out. To date now into May of 2022.... pond not maintained with cattails over grown and rotting, dead shrubbery and trees not replaced, no mulching has been completed and the grass in areas is now over 12 inches! Absolutely unacceptable!!! If you are considering purchasing from Rockford Homes or anyone else who uses this property management company for their property care and maintenance you may want to reconsider. read more

I am very upset with the HOA for Hopewell Cumunity Condos in Heath Ohio. I have left messages 3 on their phone one being emergency line. I have heard nothing back from them. Then I emailed 3 times. Still no response. I don't know who to go through next. My parents condo has termites and my parents shouldn't have to pay for repairs. It's on the exterior wall. They don't care, they get the condo fee and don't want to do their job. I hope someone higher up would see this and get back with me. Rating in the negative. read more

We live in Jerome Village and their maintenance of the green space in our division is deplorable. I've sent several emails to both the local manager and corporate office and have never been shown the courtesy of a single response. They are quick to enforce property owner rules and collect money but as far as I can see, that is all they are concerned about. This Condo Association along with the Appleway East board continues to throw their weight around doing what pleases them all awhile with their Board members properties getting preferential treatment. -I have repairs that have been ignored. -Emails stating that they would do something and nothing. -City of Columbus has had to site them for repairs. See below -All buildings with the exception of 2 had their roof replaced. City had typed the warrant ready to serve before they finally did the work. - Drug dealers reside on property and owners of the condos are aware ( email/voice mail proof) but "afraid" to move because owner owns many of the condos. No one will speak up in management. -How about unnecessary upgrades to the said mentioned owners units property spending $$$. -How about same owners using "Section 8" telling the City that her tenants reside in a 1 bedroom while it's obvious they live in a 2 bedroom. Unable/unwilling to do even routine maintenance, waiting 6 months for a working smoke detector, 4 on a broken refrigerator, and a clogged drain or not working faucet is NEVER going to be addressed while you live there. Will raise the rent "to maintain industry levels" while providing no maintenance as stated. Also raised rent twice so far during Covid, and required all residents including the elderly and those with high risk factors, to pay all rent at local supermarket, thus exposing them to higher risk. They hired a landscape company who did Significant damage to the property and they allowed them to continue to do so even though they knew mulch beds could fix the issue. I would do 1 star if possible. They will not return calls. Phones go to voicemail. They'll update their mailing address so your payments are not accepted and then charge you late fees. While they change addresses, they do not update their documents so it's very confusing where and who to send money to. Their goal is to raise HOA fees/late to collect more income for their company. What a terrible company. There is painting chipping off one of our buildings after the company just 'fixed' it not 3 years ago. There is a leak under the parking lot that has been there for years that they don't care about. 1 unit has windows different from all others, and the company has done nothing to fix it. However the straw that broke my back is when they sent a letter that I was observed not picking up after my dog, which is just patently false. Instead of allowing me to speak to the person responsible for making this false accusation, I was given the run-around. I got down to that the company did absolutely no due diligence before threatening to fine me and would not do any due diligence if any other false accusations we're made. This is utter incompetence. Recently became aware that Towne prop mgmt of Ohio bought out my Hoa assoc in estero, Florida and took over mgmt. Shortly thereafter a $2 million assessment was levied upon the community for "alleged" structural fixes heretofore unknown. The owners of fountain lakes and specifically "the greens Hoa" needs further review and explanation. Letters are being sent to incorrect addresses and no attempt to contact owners has been made, at least not to this owner. Threatening to file liens and forclose on properties.....the entire ordeal does not pass the smell test. Looking forward to next Hoa meeting. read more

I lived in one of the carriage oaks condos and needless to say the "board" was one of the worst groups of people I have ever met. They all do not listen to their rules but bill anyone else when they see something off. For example I had a baby pool and a table on my back deck, for the people did not open the pool and they charged $221 to the person I was renting the condo from. Saying that my back patio was a mess. When walking around the neighborhood id seen far worse than my patio and asked if they had gotten charged too and they had said no. I've also been chased multiple times from their dogs that they could not handle. These board members need to get fired or kicked off and put their dogs on a leash. read more

As anyone can tell from the reviews, this company is the worst example of customer service. The phones are impenetrable. NO ONE answers the phone except for the receptionist who shuffles you off to the voice mail black hole. The fees paid to them are never returned in the form of maintenance of the complex. My unit has been flooded due to lack of roof maintenance and they would not take responsibility for the damage saying it was ground water that flooded the condo. I live at Carriage Oaks and own my condo. Town is supposed to be our property management company. Its been 3 weeks that they made repairs to our street. We weren't notified of the repairs. The concrete has hardened but after 2 calls the orange cones are still on our street. I've even attempted to call the area manager twice. HOA tell me is trash in front; back with trash and tires for several days. Well to my surprise nothing is there but a recently taking out door last night which be in next week trash. o garbage, tires or nothing else as they claimed. They also inform NO pets allowed but everyone in the complex have dogs/cats etc. Are they targeting my renters?? Yes, I say so. This company is very underhanded and the property manager for Bexley Commons is unprofessional and un ethical. They accepted my last day of living in my apartment as the fifteenth of January. Accepted my keys and led me to believe my obligations to this property was fullfilled. They billed me in January until the fifteenth of the month. A month later, they sent me a bill, stating they kept my security deposit, as of the fifteenth, and I need to pay the balance of the month. Why was I billed in an underhanded way? This company has been a disaster from day one. We have gone through 2 Managers and are now on our third. I have made several calls to the new Manager and have yet to reach him. I keep getting a rude receptionists and then transferred to a recording to an administrative assistant voicemail that sounded as though as 5 year old had recorded it, very unprofessional. I live with my boyfriend in the Carriage Oaks Condos owned by Towne Properties. We are currently looking for a new residence as we and several of our neighbors are constantly being harassed for anything and everything so they can make some extra money off of us. They claim our condo fee was late although the check came out of our account the day it was due. If I take more than 1 bag of trash to the dumpster I get a letter stating that I am illegally dumping trash from outside the property. Our condo fee is raised every year but we're not sent a fee breakdown so I'm pretty sure it's just going into their pockets. I wouldn't recommend waisting your money in any of their properties as they encourage a hostile environment amongst residents and will charge you a $50 fine for everything from installing an air conditioner to leaving a package on your porch for more than 2 days to taking out more than 1 bag of trash per week! read more

I wouldn't even give them 1 star. This is the worst company ever. My mom has owned a condo for 20 years and every other unit has been resided except for hers and hers needs it the most. There is no rhyme or reason as to how they decide who gets the siding and who does not. The back porch is coming apart from the unit and cameras that were put in for safety reasons no longer work. Imagine paying 20 years in condo dues and getting nothing in return but grief. Meanwhile constant issues with trash pickup, dumping bulk items and she has had to pack her unit up twice the past 2 years for bug issues from other units. She was told her unit did not have an infestation from the company that did the extermination however the condo association said she had one but never produced a report to back up this claim, The management is poor they don't return calls I don't even understand how they are still in business. read more

I do not even know where to begin. First of all let me state that my experience with this company pertains to one person only: Laura Neidig, who is titled the director of Management Services. From day one on i have been given the impression that she either has way too many properties to manage, does not know what "management" means or does not care about any issues that one addresses her with. Personally she was always nice and courteous (when you got a hold of her) but pertaining to the job it was always an absolute catastrophe. I have been dealing with her for almost an entire year and was not once able to get her on the phone. It seems as though every action is a reaction to multiple complaints and nagging (something i do not enjoy). I would expect that clear statements regarding dates and times of when things would be handled would make things a LOT easier, ESPECIALLY when you are managing a multitude of projects - instead every little shred of information has to be forced to light by emails from the customer - should this not be the other way around?? If something cannot be addressed until 2 weeks from now, just tell me - and not give me the tomorrow or maybe the day after runaround. It eludes me how this company has an A+ BBB rating and how they manage to stay in business seeing as there are plenty of other property management companies around. One would suspect that there is plenty of shady things going on especially with the way things are "managed" here. I will not go into more details, dig deeper and you will find more on the subject. Sadly I've had to call Town Properties about six times in one week to contact Barbara Patterson. She has never given me a call back. I pay a hefty condo fee for them to take care of everything on the outside. I told her we were getting a rain storm n she would send someone out....she never did and stopped returning my calls. everything from the rain leaked into my finished basement and flooded my kitchen as well. I had to take all the carpet and furniture out and now I'm filing an insurance claim. Town Properties has gotten extremely ghetto. They used to do a good job when it was own by Sterling Realty. I have my neighbors upset as well because Barbara Patterson that works for Worthington Woods eight will not return not one single call. I live in Worthington so in this area everything should be up to par not trash on the floor not leaks in the house not cracks in the road it's worth paying an astronomical amount every month for them to not do their job and all they really do is just repave the road I don't need a repaved road every year that's what I'm paying for the dumbest things possible. I'm extremely upset with Town Properties. They definitely aren't doing their job and they do not care about any of the neighbors that live here to help them out at all. What am I paying for? It's ridiculous! they need new ownership or a new person besides Barbara Patterson that will actually get things done. read more
