I called into the store on Saturday afternoon and got no answer, so decided to wait until Monday (my scheduled return date) to deal with it. As I was a repeat customer to this point and had a good standing account I figured it would not be an issue. When I returned the saw with the gas still full and the can they provided me untouched I explained the situation. The main guy who works the counter, mid 40's spikey black hair became irate, accused me of lying and did nothing to try to ease / resolve the situation. I explained to him I intended on renting a chipper later in the month and how I rented a lift the week before and that over a $150 rental he should really offer a credit to my account, unfortunately he did not agree. I explained that over that small amount he would be losing a customer to which he told me to get out of his store and that I am not allowed to rent again. This is an unreal experience of a professional business.

Review of Norris Sales Company…read more I am so disappointed in the juxtasposition of how this company advertises itself and how it and it's staff actually operate. The first day that the lift was dropped off I was told it was the oldest one that they had in stock. On a month rental, I was charged a damage waiver fee along with having to provide my own inland marine insurance, which essentially covers damages. When presented with the inquiry I was told that it's company policy. This is a cost that I took on instead of forwarding it to my client. During the first hour of operating the lift it shut off on me while I was alone, 50 feet in the air, and the cage tilted itself. The lift was then switched out, the next day, costing me a day's worth of work. The cage on the newly replaced lift would not swivel so a mechanic had to come out and service it, costing me more man hours on the job. A few days later the alternator on the lift began failing and we lost a total of 3 days in time due to it not working, servicing hours, and a swap out. I was told that they were down a guy, regarding mechanics and that I'd have to wait for it to be serviced and changed out. Mechanic showed up the first time to switch it out and never brought a key to start the machine. The most recent lift that they gave us ran out of gas after only a week of use and we were told that we had to provide our own fuel service. I would think that a 40 gallon diesel tank could handle being ran, on and off, for more than 7, eight hour days. If it were allegedly full when it was given to us. After being behind on the job (of which would have been finished within the 28 day rental) due to these problems: I had to request that the lift be rented for another month because they only charge by the week or the month. I was given a quote for $3600 over the phone then billed for $4,440.00. When I inquired about the cost I was told that the quote didn't include damage waiver fees, taxes, etc... When it's all said and done: contractors should rely on their vendors to, partner with them on projects. Not make them look bad to clients and cost them time and money. Though it may take a little more footwork on your end, I'd go elsewhere for your rental needs. It may even cost a little more upfront but in the long run it won't cut into your bottom line. These guys are going to do whatever they can to squeeze more money out of you with no remorse nor concern for future business. Giving you lifts that don't have a full tank then charging you to refill it upon returning the equipment etc....

Fantastic customer service…read more I recently moved into a new home, and needed my heating oil filled. We didn't hear from them for 3 weeks so we called to ask about the status of our generator. The gentleman could not find the paperwork and called us back later to say he had found it and they would look at the generator now. So where was the paperwork for 3 weeks and would we have heard from them if we hadn't called? A few days later we get a text that says it's ready for pickup and the cost was over $500. They never called for consent to do any further work beyond the diagnostic. I called and the woman was instantly very rude to me as I tried to explain why I was upset with the way they had done business. The gentlemen I spoke with after was slightly less rude and did apologize for not calling with an update but then tried to excuse it by exclaiming how busy they were. If you're too busy to conduct business fairly and provide adequate customer service then maybe turning people away is better than taking their money before they've consented to the repair. Had he communicated with me about what the generator needed and why he thought it was worth the cost to repair it as opposed to buying a new one I would have appreciated that very much and I don't think is too much to ask. We asked for a small amount off the bill to compensate for our bad experience and they said no and that if we didn't pick it up they could sell it. Very predatory way of doing business and simply rude people who can't take accountability when they mess up. Steer clear...I will find a repair shop who treat their customers better.

On January 5, 2026 I took a Husqvarna chain saw into them for chain sharpening and tune up. A deposit of $52 was requested. I was told that it might take 2 weeks to be serviced. After not hearing from them for 3 weeks I called and said it was "on the table" awaiting repairs. Did not hear from them again for a couple of weeks and when I called Don said he was awaiting a part expected the next day. Called again after a couple of weeks (nobody ever bothered to call me). When Don came on the line he whined about how much time it was taking and he couldn't get a part to fit (gas tank cap). So I told them I would pick it up. When I picked it up I asked if chain was sharpened, plug replaced. "No" but when I asked for deposit Jen said they would keep it for them "having to look it over!" Long story short: after two ten minute "chats" on Husqvarna's website, new part received that fits. All I had to do was send them a picture of the incorrect cap. 'Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." Never again. I hate to be ripped off. The only reason I gave one star is that they answer the phone.
