Literally the only redeeming quality of this store are the employees (note: not their management). I've mostly dealt with Dee and Danielle, who are extremely nice. Dee makes my visits there very personable and fun. Danielle is a sweetheart who always has a smile on her face and is really, really pleasant.
However, I'm assuming this other lady "Debbie" is a manager. I see her in there from time to time, and I don't even get a "hello" (Customer Service 101). Today when I visited, Debbie was doing some menial tasks, rearranging some flags on a beer stack. When I was ready to check out, Danielle greeted me super cheerfully and was starting to ring up my items.
But Debbie apparently just HAD to step in and throw her weight around, admonishing Danielle for using a coupon with a previous customer which was a black and white, printed coupon. She started on and on, in a stern, patronizing voice, calling Danielle right in front of me...completely delaying the checkout, AND humiliating Danielle at the same time.
Look, Debbie, I hope you read this...
NEVER admonish your employees--especially the good ones like Danielle--in front of customers. Not only that, but you rambled ON AND ON AND ON to her after you'd already made your point crystal clear that the coupons she accepts need to be "colorized, official" coupons. Your tone of voice with her was not one of understanding, where we all make mistakes. Instead, you talked down to her like a child--in front of ME, a customer who comes in every day and gives your store a lot of business.
I'll have you know, since apparently you're too egotistical to see it yourself, you have dang good employees working at your registers, and they deserve more respect than to be embarrassed by you in front of customers. Get some class, lady.
As for the rest of the cashiers, including Danielle and Dee, you all are amazingly nice ladies and I sincerely hope you don't have to deal with Mrs. Tyrant like I witnessed today. It was completely unprofessional, overbearing, rude, and quite honestly, MEAN. Learn to be a better manager or you'll lose a lot of good people. read more
