To "Racer X' ( giving yourself a 5 star rating as the business owner is an awesome move)…read more Got to bring that average up! To personally attack my judgement on the selection this "classic" vehicle or the fact I don't "understand the level of financial commitment" speaks volumes. $13,000 worth of volume. I went into this knowing I would need to do some things done, and have the estimates to prove that. Where my judgement failed me was my selection of the Paddock. Was an engine replaced? A transmission? It was removed and reinstalled. Any reputable garage knows that this is an easy task for a Corvair. Yes, the tranny was rebuilt, there was work performed, I get it. I have several pages of it. Speaking of, for any prospective client that wants to review the estimate vs. invoicing and any work performed I received over this 5 month journey, you are free to contact me. You be the judge. I will remain impartial. Anyone that owns or maintains a Corvair knows they are NOT rocket science. By the way, I had the leaks fixed at another "reputable" shop for $100. Oh, and the door handle your shop "fixed" fell off on the way home, and I had to reconnect the wires to the GEN/FAN light as well. Guess that was missed on the reinstall. I am sure if I had gone to the DMV with the paperwork and correspondence from the Paddock regarding this work, they would have investigated. But I didn't. Is it too late? I am a fair person. Perhaps I am wrong, perhaps your real customers will prove that. I had a Macys budget and went to a Nordstoms, apparently that "whim" once again failed me. Just wasn't expecting wal-mart quality. Had I looked at the various other site reviews and known that some of these 5 star ratings are in fact family and friends and not actual customers; well now I know better. So to Racer X, I will say may the Paddock continue to prosper. I would recommend that all your "real" customers get on-line to do an honest review. As a business owner I would think critical feedback would be utilized to improve performance not result in personal attacks. I am sure you have decided to no longer induct Corvairs into your shop. Elimination of a potential revenue stream is always a good move Are you checking annual salaries to ensure they have the proper "level of financial commitment"? I do applaud the fact the Paddock gives back to the community and fund scholarships for future mechanics on the lost art of automotive restorations. Kudos for you for that! By the way, the truck is now running great. Retiring afforded me the time to do it myself, and had I owned a lift I may have done this myself to begin with. I think $13K will buy me a decent lift right? As I stated previously, I am not mad at the Paddock, I am mad at myself for selecting the Paddock.

Estimates vs. invoice, good luck. 5 months and over $12k and my vehicle will not start and has a…read morehuge puddle of transmission fluid under it (they rebuilt it though, twice). Was told when I brought vehicle to them they knew how to work on it (corvair). Not true at all. I had to bring in a 3rd party to give them guidence. Also it was apparent I had zero priority over higher paying clients. I'd be embarassed letting someone leave my shop like this. Live and learn. I blame myself for being lazy and not doing the work myself. I could have replaced the entire powertrain for what this costs. Now I am stuck to repair it myself anyway. I am retired so I guess I have time now. There is so much more I can discuss regarding my interactions with the paddock. They insist they did right by me. I can't agree with that at all. Fact is, the truck is still leaking and will not start. (which they also "fixed") My advice, have deep pockets, have a lot of patience, and have an alfa romeo (seems to be their knack). Good luck. I'd give them a 1, but the body shop and whoever did the wiring stuff did a good job.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Service Advisor Amanda Smith at Gallagher GMC…read more I have been a loyal Gallagher GMC service customer for the past two years, bringing my truck in every 3-4 months for routine maintenance. However, after today's experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere--both for service and the purchase of my next vehicle when my lease ends in a few months. I initially had a pleasant experience with the service advisor who assisted me earlier in the day. However, when I arrived to pick up my truck, I was shocked to see my bill exceed $450 for a routine oil change and an engine light diagnosis. Upon questioning the charges, Amanda Smith informed me that a fuel injector service had been performed--an upsell item that I never requested, nor was I asked about when my advisor called me earlier. When I calmly pointed this out, Amanda's attitude immediately turned defensive and dismissive. Rather than acknowledging the issue or offering a solution, she repeatedly insisted that she "didn't handle my account" and that I would need to pay the full amount and call back tomorrow to dispute the charge. When I explained--again, very politely--that it wasn't fair to force me to pay for an unauthorized service and then take additional time to seek reimbursement, she responded by raising her voice, speaking slowly and condescendingly, and continuing to deflect responsibility. I then asked for a manager--only to be told that she was the manager. Even more concerning was her response when I pointed out that it wasn't fair to me as the innocent party, her response was that it was fair to her being "stuck in the middle" of this situation. I had to remind her that as a manager, she is not stuck in the middle because she has a responsibility as a leader to resolve customer issues. Instead of demonstrating professionalism or customer service skills, she claimed that it "wasn't fair to her" to be in this situation. I had to suggest maybe attempting to call my advisor on his cell to ask him if I was being truthful. She first responded - "if I call him and he doesn't answer then you'll still have to pay it." After multiple requests, she finally (and reluctantly) called my original service advisor, who immediately confirmed that he never discussed or authorized the additional service with me. Only then did Amanda agree to remove the charge--without so much as an apology for the poor experience, the incorrect charge, or her unacceptable attitude. Customer service is not complicated--simply be professional, courteous, and respectful. Unfortunately, Amanda failed on all counts. A manager should be capable of resolving issues fairly, taking ownership of mistakes, and treating customers with respect, yet she showed none of those qualities today. Her attitude and approach were not only unprofessional but also completely misaligned with the customer service values that Gallagher GMC claims to uphold. I truly hope this review reaches someone in leadership who can address this glaring gap in service quality and ensure that Amanda receives the necessary training in customer relations and leadership. It should start with the basic ability to acknowledge mistakes and say, "I'm sorry." Gallagher GMC has now lost my business--not because of a pricing issue (although she charged me well over $300 just to tell me why my check engine light was on), but because of how I was treated. I will gladly take my truck (and my future purchase) to another dealership where customers are valued and respected.

Unfortunately, we were in a fender bender and needed our vehicle repaired. I can't comment on pricing because we went through our insurance. From the day we dropped off the car to the day it was finished, it was 13 days total. They mentioned it could take up to a month because they had to wait for parts from the manufacturer, so this was pretty good. Also, they would send us daily texts with updates on our vehicle. Dropping off and picking up the vehicle was easy. Most of the people working there were cordial. The parking lot was spacious; it was easy to get in and out of; it is in a convenient location. The repairs that were done on our vehicle was good. Overall, a good body shop to get auto body repairs, especially if your insurance covers it.

I was totally impressed with the quality of workmanship afforded my daughter's Honda, so I didn't think twice about taking my Toyota there. Melissa and Mike were professional and it was apparent from the start that these folks knew their "stuff". Because both were insurance claims, these people arranged for rentals to be picked up at the shop, and because there were "issues" with the estimates, they contacted the insurance adjuster. I did absolutely nothing, other than dropping the vehicles off and picking them up when the work had been expertly completed. Highly recommend them if you require QUALITY and TIMELY repairs.
