I had an 11:00 AM appointment at Town Fair Tire for an alignment. I arrived early at 9:17 AM and asked if they could take my truck sooner. The service advisor told me that would not be a problem and that the job should take about 90 minutes. I paid for the alignment and tires upfront and waited in the lobby. While sitting there I could see the screen showing the service bays and several technicians standing around, yet my truck sat outside untouched. After two hours, I asked about the status and was told it would be going into the alignment bay soon and that when it showed up on the screen it would be close to finished. After 2.5 hours, I asked again. At that point it became clear the work had never even been started. I then asked for a refund since I had already paid, and even then the service advisor asked twice if I was sure I wanted it rather than apologizing for the situation. There was no apology, no explanation, and no acknowledgment that they had wasted my time. One employee even pointed out that my appointment was technically for 11:00 AM, despite the fact that their staff told me at 9:17 AM they could take the truck early and that it would be about 90 minutes. When the technician finally pulled my truck around and handed me the keys, I noticed the interior smelled strongly like someone had sprayed cologne inside my vehicle, which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. In the end, I sat there for hours, the work was never started, and I had to push just to get my money back. This was a complete waste of a PTO day, and I will not be returning to this location. read more

I have often had to wait a very, very long time to get anything done here. I recently had an appointment for 4:30 PM, but they didn't even take my car in for well over an hour. I bought new tires from them, then went back for their requested torque checks. At those times, I reported that there was shaking up front and they said they could rebalance the tires. I said let me get my brake job done first, But when I took it back to them they said sorry, you're beyond the warranty period and now you have to pay. At least they gave me a small discount over the full price. Then when I finally got my car back two hours after arriving, I heard squeaking noises up front as I started to drive away. They tried to tell me it was because I was driving over the paint on the parking lot. Ridiculous. Another mechanic did the brake job for me, and he said that they had torqued the lug nuts so hard that he almost couldn't get them off. There is a recommended torque for those lug nuts and they went well beyond it. They just ramped up their gun and jammed them on as hard as they could. read more

Avoid at all costs for the sake of your safety. They returned my car with a rear tire at 57 psi, and the passenger's side tie rod so loose that it was about 2 thread turns away from dropping out of the knuckle (according to the mechanic at the dealer I had to subsequently visit, who discovered and corrected it). In the mechanic's words: "I can't believe they returned it to you like this. Anyone with a conscious would lose sleep over doing something this bad." This level of incompetence is dangerous, let alone pathetic. For non-car people: tie rods are part of the steering linkage, transferring steering input to wheels. If one of them is disconnected, the result is a loss of steering control which may lead to an accident. read more

Horrible customer service. Tried to schedule a rotation for tires that I purchased through this location. Could only get through to a national customer service representative. Tried making an appointment. Chrystal would not schedule an appointment. She told me that she was not a direct representative. Found that odd. Asked her for an appointment, she told me that she couldn't make an appointment and to call the local number. Called the local number, only to be referred back to a call center. Then was told that the next available appointment was a week away, but I could go into the store and be put on a waiting list, but service could not be guaranteed that day. I have purchased tires from this location for my corporate vehicle and my personal vehicles for over 20 years. Wouldn't take my personal information for a tire rotation because they offer free tire rotation for anyone. Asked for her name. She gave me her name and her employee number. Asked for her supervisor's name and employee number as this is what she was offering me. She didn't know her supervisor's employee number. Lowest tires guaranteed, follow up service is zero. Pay the few more dollars and go to a non franchise. I will drive to a local tire service and pay to get them rotated and not give them another dollar. read more

Used TFT for my other car and was satisfied but now I am very frustrated and disappointed with my service here. February 14,2025 brought my car in to have all 4 tires replaced. New car never replaced the tires so one of the workers was very patient and helped me work through my options. Decided to go with a mid option, Nexem Tires. April I went to my mechanic and they informed me that one of my tires had a bubble in it. Scheduled the appointment to get the tire replaced, tire rotation and have my left side tires checked as they were reading low. Was frustrated that 2 month old tires already needed to be replaced and the other ones were already giving me issues. After hearing me out on my frustrations Kevin was kind and discounted the tire in exchange for buying the lifetime warranty ($20/tire) and saved me $100. Got my car back with new tire but other tires were still reading low at same PSI's as before (meaning they didn't do a rotation). Went back 2 days later, just walked in because I was frustrated. Got helped promptly which i appreciated being I just walked in. They checked my sensors and tire pressure. Told me my sensors were fine. Filled the tires up again and said if they leak again bring it in for a free flat repair . Now it's June and I am dealing with 3 low tires. Currently sitting in the waiting room at 12:00 being told they are just taking my car in after making my appointment for 10:30. I understand that they struggle with staffing but fix your books if you can't accommodate the same amount of customers in a timely manner. Apparently my tires valve stems were leaking (on 4 month old tires...) but they were kind enough to only charge for the rebalancing of the tires. Wont be coming back here again unless it's covered under my lifetime warranty that I payed for, service quality has gone down significantly. read more

I scheduled online and I took my car in having never gone here before. I had a slightly complex setup involving two tire brands. The gentleman walked me to my car and I explained what needed swapped and installed where and which needed disposal. I was given a 2 hour estimate easily justifiable by the number of people waiting and paying. The place is pretty busy. I recommend early morning. My instructions were followed perfectly including keeping a spare for a full sized spare as I had asked and a few minutes ahead of schedule at that. I don't know what people are complaining about below. The only issue I had was how busy the place is which is a good indicator they know what they are doing. read more

Someone came in for new tires 1 1/2 hours into my wait. They were done and gone. I got told 18 wheeler blocking bay. Today is Thursday... on Wednesday I purchased 4 new tires with an alignment added to the order... just about $1400. My appointment on Wednesday was 1:30, I showed up at 1:15 and got the paperwork done and told them I was waiting... I was told that the "appointment time" isn't actually an appointment, but more of a guesstimate... So, depending on how many other "appointments" and walk-ins there were it could be HOURS until it was brought in to service... WHAT!? Anyway, a few hours, or so, later I was told my truck was done. I go to pick it up and was told that they didn't do my alignment because the "alignment guy" goes home at 2 on Wednesday... WHAT!? Why wasn't I told this???? I could have gone to any of 6 more shops in the area... So we set it up to be aligned today... WITH ANOTHER 1:30 APPOINTMENT hahahaaaa Go in, do the paperwork and sit down... 2 o'clock I see them take my truck and bring it in the shop, 15ish minutes later out come my truck, all done. KINDA QUICK, isn't it??? Well, not really done, not right anyway... Steering wheel is off center by maybe 20 degrees... so not a little, but alot! Try calling, no answer... Call several more time and was finally given the option for a call back. I get called back and explain my situation.... I get told"make an appointment" LOL!!! try that and nothing available for DAYS! Now a little angry I tell them it is not acceptable, and that a 12 o'clock wheel is part of the alignment process and that it wasn't done correctly and I want it fixed... NOW not LATER. So she gives me the "direct line" to the Leominster service desk... Call a few times no answer... Finally goes to a voice-mail... left message about half hour ago, we'll see ;) WAITING PATIENTLY! read more

I went in on Friday the 7th of April on a donut spare at 10:00 in the morning. Was told they couldn't do it today but could do it early Saturday. I dropped my car of at 7:55 in the morning as some workers were entering the building and they said use the drop box. I did and left. At 1:00 I called and asked if was done. They told me they just found the keys and would get it done in about a hour. No calls from them at all. So I went back at 3:45 15 minutes before closing The clerk knew nothing about my car. Another said it was almost done. Got 2 tires payed for but didn't get alignmention and was told to get a frozen part replaced and come back. They didn't do because they ran out of time and blamed a part. Don't use or trust them. read more

My main complaint is that one of the service people lied to my face about what was done on my car. Instead of just telling me they weren't able to do the alignment and ask if I could come back I was given some story about their printer. When I did go back the next day someone else got to me before he did, looked at what was done the day before, and told me I was owed an alignment. This guy, though, came out and continued to lie about it til the moment he handed back my keys, then saying he wanted me to have the better guy do the job. Never going back. read more

Arranged with Kevin the regional manager to get 4 new Toyo Celsius tires put on. He said it should take 1.5 to 2 hours for the whole setup: mount, balance, and 4 wheel alignment. Wow! They were done in 1 hr 15 minutes! I decided to wait in the waiting area. The old tires were not worth saving (original dealer tires, went bad after 32000 miles!). The counter staff were friendly, we discussed different brands they are offering (there are so many today). Celsius is an excellent New England tire, good pattern for snow traction. I live on a hill so that's important plus having AWD helps. At the wrap up, the counter went over the paperwork, and showed me the alignment issues I had before they fixed them. Very pleased. I have had some 2 and 3 star experiences at other Town Fair locations, but the Merriam Ave shop is excellent. read more

Bought 4 Goodyear Assurance tires, $758 Mounted, balanced, lineup etc My only concern is that the tires I received were Walmart Goodyear tires. Can't find them anywhere on the Goodyear website. No reason to be disappointed with the tires but just an uneasy feeling that may be inferior to standard Goodyear tires. read more

TLDR: They did repairs on my car that was unrelated to the tires they sold me for FREE. I came here to get 4 new AWD All Season tires. The sales rep Sebastian was very patient, answering all of my questions about tread depth and style. A few weeks after getting the tires, I was getting frustrated with having to refill the air every few days. I went back in to have them check the tires out. It turned out that my tire valve stems were completely corroded. They replaced all 4 of them, FREE of charge. I couldn't believe they were willing to do all of that work, when it was completely unrelated to the product they sold me. Amazing service. I will always go to them from here on out. read more

Had an appointment today at 11 for four new tires. Upon arrival, I was not made aware how behind they were running. In fact, 1.5 hours into it, (car still outside) I wasn't informed at all. I had to go seek information. Sebastian, the front guy, made little to no effort informing me of anything. I stood outside, for 3.5 hours. This was with an 11am appointment. Sebastian wasn't rude but had a very nonchalant attitude about things running late. He didn't care in the least. If you're going here, communication is a challenge on their part... which leads to a major lack in professionalism. Again, 3.5 hours with next to No understanding into why. read more

Our customer had special ordered tires for a vehicle we lifted for them and town fair refuses to mount them because they didn't come from them. They still would have made their $100 off the deal. Not a good way to treat comercial customers. All businesses, do yourself a favor and use a better tire company because this place is a waste of time. read more

I went in today to get 4 new Goodyear wranglers put on my truck. I had called and talked to a girl and explained I had 4 new rims that I wanted tires put on and that I had all the hardware new valve stems lugs and 1 inch spacers that I wanted installed she said "ya no problem you're all set" I show up to get the $1100 in tires installed to be told nope we don't install spacers and while they will mount the tires on the rims they would not put them on the truck because I didn't buy the rims from them. So save your time and money and go elsewhere. I went to Pete's Tire Barn in Gardner and no problem installing my rims and all and guess what my tires were cheaper too even with the 4 wheel Alignment. So for $945 I got great service and no bull s*** read more

Listen, all of these people complaining about the time it takes to change even one tire when they show up and demand a tire be replaced are just being jerks. This shop is well-run, and every time I've brought a car there they've had me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. What these people need to understand is that the shop cannot wave a magic wand and move all of the customers in the cue out of the way and instantly swap a tire or tires out. I know they'd be even more pissed if they had their car on the lift and someone came in and demanded a tire be changed instantly and they got bumped down for that. Get some damned sense, people. Better still, change your own tires and see how long it takes. Having said all of that, I've been nothing but happy with Town Fair Tire at this location. Whenever I've gone there with an appointment, they've helped in choosing tires, and have a fantastic selection for any budget. The guys out front know their tires and don't try to stuff big money tires into your budget. They treat you like a human being -one who deserves the best tires you can get for the money. Speaking of which, their prices are the best I've found around. As for the guys out back, the unsung heroes of tire swapping, they do a fantastic job and are quick! I expect it to take at least two hours once I've dropped a car off, and they typically take less time than that. I've never had any problems afterward, either. The tires go on, stay on and balanced for a long time. Good group of folks here! Highly recommended. read more

Worst Service ever! Had two tires replaced. My car continued to make this loud noise after they changed my tires. I went back FOUR TIMES!!! They kept rotating the tires and lying that they fixed the problem! I had to go to another auto place to have the issue fixed & it was tire related. I had a great experience this weekend. I discovered that something had punctured my tire when I was about to head out to Western Mass. I called 3 places in my town, none of which could fit me in. The Town Fair Tire call center suggested that I stop by a location on my route and got me an appt within the hour in the Leominster location. When I arrived, every staff member was courteous and friendly. They had my tire fixed in about 30 minutes. Their computer system keeps you updated on your progress the whole time and they broadcast a live feed of the garage so you can see your car being worked on. I would definitely recommend! read more

Wow, Paul is an example of a Great employee but even more a wonderful giving selfless human being. I drove to Leominister to help a friend of a friend. She is a young lady with a flat tire. AAA came and said they couldn't lower the spare on her old mini van. She didn't know what to do. I drove her to Town Fair and explained her problem. Paul brought out an air tank and rode with us to the van. The tire wouldn't hold air so without asking Paul did what AAA couldn't and lowered the spare, jacked up and put on the spare. We all went back to the store and a new tire was installed in an hour. Paul is an exceptional employee. I was glad to come to the aid of this very young girl and so happy we found Paul. read more
