Again the municipality and Chariot are in bed with each other. But the municipality had to make money some how and this is where they come in proof in the pudding they are are police impound . This is a predatory towing company run by thieves. Since the car is being financed, I don't have the title, and they refused to even look at any of the paperwork I had. The car registration mysteriously disappeared. I had to go to the DMV and then wait for them to mail out a new registration. After waiting for more than a week, still without the new registration showing up in my mailbox, they confessed that they could have looked up the registration at anytime. Why they didn't tell me this initially, I presume, is because they just wanted to run up storage charges, which are ridiculously set at $60/day. Even after they looked up my registration, they kept changing just which paperwork I needed to show them. They demanded cash payment, claiming they don't accept credit cards or checks, probably to under-report their taxable income. They did anything possible to delay me from picking up my car and running up further charges. Don't use these people ever. If you have the bad fortune to be towed by them like me, know that they will use every trick possible to exploit you and steal your money.

My car was disabled at the light on Route 83 South and 63rd. This is a horrible spot to be disabled. I called in requesting a push over to the shoulder, or at least the left turn lane next to me (getting out of the way of highway speed traffic). Either I could take a look or call roadside service. The cop refused and alleged it was unsafe to push me through the intersection. Having cars slam on their brakes behind you doing 60mph+ is unsafe. Didn't mind having the flatbed go into the intersection to load me onto the truck. I asked again and got the same replay after waiting 20 mins getting uneasy over the cars possibly crashing into us. He parked behind me and had his emergency lights off! Overrode me and ordered their own tow and wouldn't let me use my roadside assistance. Before this, I saw his truck (with push bars) casually coast through the grocery store parking lot. No sense of safety nor urgency. I literally should have put it into neutral and pushed it myself if I knew he would do this. Protect and serve, not me. Literally cost me $350 over what I could have fixed it myself for. Review is for both the repair and towing.
