I am completely unsatisfied with Julie Bahang´s service for the following reasons: 1. There was a lien on the property we were purchasing, and Julie did not take care of this from the start. This caused a three-week delay in closing the deal and forced us to look for a temporary place to stay until the deal closed. Note that we could have closed the deal three weeks ago. 2. Julie lied about the status of the demand on the lien. She mentioned in an email that she had already taken care of it, but when we followed up on this document the next week, she replied through an email saying that she had taken care of the document 2 days ago. I think she forgot that she lied to us the first time. 3. Julie blamed us for the delay in closing the deal because we did not deposit our down payment into their provided account. We could not deposit the down payment because they had not sent the escrow docs needed by the loan company. A few days later, Julie emailed not to send the down payment to the provided account because it became subject to the IRS investigation. 4. When pressed about why there is a delay on the escrow´s side, Julie complained that they were busy handling other customers. There might be good reviews about Julie Bahang, but my experience with her is horrible. Me and my wife were hoping that we could get a good service since she is the Vice President and a senior manager of the escrow company hired by the seller, but we are deeply disappointed with her service. read more

They try to FORCE the buyer to use them for the notary. They don't cooperate and made the transaction difficult. Escrow closed two weeks ago and buyers haven't receive the closing check. They also took long to send out the notary her check. When my transaction coordinator requested documents it took them one week to send the missing documents. Tower Escrow has shown me that they were unprofessional, lack care for client services, and sends sensitive documents through unsecured platforms I have never in my life been this angry talking and working with a professional. I don't even want to state Julie Bahang is a professional. I'm surprised there is a review here stating Julie cared, helped whenever needed, walked the client through, cared, and was eager to please because she was completely opposite with me from start to finish. I'm guessing Julie discriminates by the status of her clients on who deserves her service and who doesn't. At least now I know she is capable of this type of good service, but she chose not to provide it for me. As a client, she treated me like I was NOT worth her time and she ignored and shrugged me off multiple times through emails and phone calls. She never called me once. I was introduced to Julie through my network. I have never used an escrow before and when I go through major processes like this, I have a lot of questions. I expect the person I'm working with to be thorough and capable of explaining their job and what exactly their process is. My car dealership explains the process and technical details better than her when she is supposed to be a "senior" escrow officer. Few incidents I'll highlight here as to why I gave 1 star. - Julie Bahang emailed me with a document. In the document, it stated to call to verify the account number before arranging a wire. I called the same day to verify and get an explanation of what this process is. I introduced myself and told her I received her email, she acted confused as to why I was calling. I asked her questions, and she gave me one-word answers. After this incident, I realized she doesn't care about her clients and their concerns. - They sent over 16+ documents and some were the size of booklets. They did not give any explanations as to what they are, what is most urgent to read, why it's important, what they needed from me, etc. I had to email them asking what all of these were and what they needed from me. They answered, but it was not a clear explanation and it didn't make any sense to me. The format of the email also looked like a scam. - They called one day to ask if I had time to sign documents and get them notarized, I did. Then I emailed them asking what are the next steps and timeline after this. She stated, "Ask the loan agent- we only handle the escrow docs, signing person handle the notary public, not escrow person, not loan agent." I then asked "What do escrow docs mean? What are all the escrow documents? Is there any document that explains this whole escrow process? Is there a list somewhere that explains what all the documents are with explanations?" She then replied "We are the escrow company; You need to discuss this with the loan officer. Escrow docs will follow by docu sign within this week." I then asked "I'm asking specifically about your escrow process and documents you handle/produce/provide. Does my loan officer also have your process documented somewhere regarding Tower Escrow? Including all the documents your escrow company handles?" She ignored me and never responded. I felt neglected by this type of unprofessionalism and it was clear she did not care about her clients. - Others handling my case were not aware of what they were doing. In fact, Julie told them one thing and did another. Honestly, I was very concerned with this behavior. They are bound to make mistakes and it seemed like they don't have a reliable process. - Lastly, they made a mistake on the estimated document, corrected it per request, then we asked them to file it correctly. They told us to correct it ourselves. Basically told us to do their job. This just showed even more that they don't care about their clients, and partner relationships, and are incapable of doing their job thoroughly. The reason this made me incredibly angry is that the escrow process is not a small retail service/transaction. It deals with a major change and process in people's lives. Julie treating her clients like this without thorough explanations and expecting her clients to blindly follow without building rapport or trust is a horrible way to do her job. I think this is a way she can be shady, make mistakes, and screw her clients without them knowing if the client is not paying close attention. Using Tower Escrow has been a sh*tshow and I greatly regret using them. I am warning those thinking about hiring them for their service. You can use them if you don't mind blindly unknowingly following whatever they do and possibly getting screwed, or you're experienced in using escrow accounts and are able to identify issues without any help. I highly suggest not using them, or else you may end up with bigger issues to handle on your own. read more

Take your business elsewhere. Just as the other reviewer mentioned, Julie Bahang is indeed extremely unprofessional and rude. Kept making "reasons" for delaying in returning my money. I had to keep calling and chasing after her to get it done and when she finally did, it was about 8 months later. Do not come here! read more

Based on my experience, not honest and not professional. Neihter not good communication with their contactor and agents. It costs me more and delay the time. So upset with them. Rated 5 star review on Google and Yelp by their employees. Don't trust them and their reviews. You will need to pay more money and delay to get your money back. read more

Not professional. We only used them per seller/agent's request. We had to cancel escrow and they slapped a surprise fee of $450 to us as buyers. I have worked with many escrow companies and no one has ever charged a cancellation fee. I would not have been this bothered if they had at least disclosed this as a potential fee from the start. I tried to waive it due to the lack of notice, but the agent refused to answer emails and would always try to get me off the phone. Do not recommend, use someone else. read more

Buying a home can be stressful and complex. There were times where situations were a bit tricky between me and the officer, but Katie was patient enough to hear everything I had to say. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T COME HERE !! Had to come here because the seller wanted to come here. Julie Bahang was our escrow agent. I never met someone that unprofessional. She was so rude ! Try talking on the phone with her people !! Rude ! She doesn't know what she is doing. The place charges you down to the penny.
