Amanda is the BEST. After having a terrible experience with my first realtor, I was recommended to…read moreAmanda by a coworker. Absolutely night and day in comparison to my first realtor. She responds almost instantly, always picks up her phone, is invested in your home search like it's her own, inspects the property for anything and everything (in her scope as a realtor of course, not as a professional inspector) to make sure you get all the credits/repairs possible, and is just seriously so above and beyond. I can't say enough nice things and how grateful I am after my horrible experience with my first realtor to have crossed paths with Amanda. I will only ever use Amanda moving forward. Trust me, you want Amanda on your side.

As someone who has worked with and managed professionals in healthcare--physicians, QI analysts,…read moreetc--I'm used to working with really detail-oriented and demanding people. I have limited experience in real estate so naturally, I approached the home-buying process with skepticism and hesitancy. Amanda left a strong first impression on us with her vocabulary and detailed explanations to extremely specific home buying questions. Her background as a paralegal was invaluable in navigating contracts and protecting our interests while her background as a flight attendant was very obvious with her great people skills and friendly demeanor. She's affiliated with Homes for Heroes and comes from a family of first responders, which reinforced our trust in her ethics and commitment. Throughout our home search, Amanda helped us submit multiple offers and personally walked through many properties with us. She provided practical and honest feedback on what to focus on and what to avoid--backed by her own firsthand experience and always verified by quotes from trusted professionals in her network. She provided photos and concerns to her specialists while walking properties with us and wastes zero time getting back to us with quotes whether we were looking at pool systems, solar panels or roof issues. I think what impressed us most was her commitment. She coordinated inspections, vendors, and follow-ups on very short notice, pushing past the limit of what you would expect any realtor to do, just to meet our tight contingency deadlines. She's even called us from a hospital bed at one time. Amanda consistently stayed ahead of every detail and made sure we had a full understanding of the property condition before moving forward. We spoke with, researched and decided against many professionals during our home-buying process, but after meeting Amanda once, we never looked back. She remains calm under pressure, is highly responsive, and truly advocates for her clients. I've already begun recommending her to my colleagues. Honestly, I hope that if we ever sell our house, we won't be on the other side of the table from her--because as buyers, we had moments where we genuinely felt bad for the sellers. That's how thorough and vigilant she is in protecting her clients!

As first-time homebuyers, we had a lot of questions, a LOT of nerves, and a very specific list of things we were looking for in a condo. We spent more tiem than most keeping an eye on the market and waiting for the right place, and Andrew was incredibly patient through all of it. We never felt pressured or rushed. Instead, he helped us stay focused on finding a home we truly loved and felt good about. Then, when the right condo finally came on the market, Andrew jumped in as our guide through the process. He got us in for a showing within 24 hours, helped us put together a strong offer within 48 hours, and guided us through every step with so much confidence and expertise that what felt intimidating suddenly felt manageable. Our offer was accepted quickly, escrow was smooth, and just 15 days later, we were homeowners. Andrew is thoughtful, responsive, and somehow makes a stressful process feel fun. We really felt, and still feel, like we can trust him in what is the biggest decision of our lives so far. We always felt like he was looking out for us and giving us honest advice, not just trying to close a deal and move on. And any time we were with him, he was never rushing out the door. He was patient and always answered our (many) questions. We're so grateful for his help, and in many years when we are ready for an upgrade, know that he will be our first call.

I truly felt supported and confident every step of the way and would highly recommend Sitah to anyone looking to purchase a home, especially if you want an edge in a competitive market.

She was definitely put in an impossible situation with the listing agent that withheld information from us, and while she made good recommendations she absolutely respected the decisions that I ultimately made. Given amount of real estate agents that are in South Bay, Gerry stands out as one of the more trustful agents in the area.

We told her then we were interested in buying a place within the following year in a specific area. I had a 2 month old and a 3 year old at the time and we'd all meet Gerry at house after house. She didn't mind at all that my rugrats were running all over the place! Raising 3 children herself gave her the patience and understanding that I needed. My son mentioned the other day as we drove around town, "is Gerry taking us to any houses to see?" He got used to meeting up with her and touring houses. She gave me the best home buying advice, see as many houses as possible. When we were finally ready to make the move a year and a half later, we saw the house that would end up being ours. Because I had the time to see so many houses (not everyone does) when I saw it I knew. I knew what I could and couldn't live without. I also knew what a good deal the house was because of the range of prices all over the South Bay. The buying process went quickly and smoothly. We knew all of the steps ahead of time. I was surprised how quickly it went once we had all of our ducks (docs) in a row! I'd recommend Gerry in a heartbeat. She's warm, knowledgable of the area and agents, super responsive, and patient with the client so that they don't feel pushed or rushed into making this huge investment in the their lives. Love you, Gerry!!!

Working with David and the Shelhamer Group was honestly the best decision we could've made. From…read morethe start, David completely adapted to our crazy schedule and somehow helped us tour 20+ homes in just two weekends. He was quick, organized, and always kept us grounded--pointing out things we would've never noticed and reminding us of our real goals when we started to get distracted by shiny finishes. He wasn't just a real estate agent--he was a true partner in the process. We felt like we had someone fighting for us every step of the way. Against some pretty big odds, he helped us land the only house in the neighborhood we really wanted. It still feels unreal. Even after we got the house, David kept showing up for us--connecting us with amazing people for renovations and making sure we had what we needed to get settled. You could just tell this wasn't "just a job" for him--he genuinely cares, and you can feel it in the way he works. And we can't share our story without mentioning how we even got connected to the Shelhamer Group. After we lost our home in the Eaton Fire in January, Glenn reached out (without us even asking) and sent us a generous gift to help us through that tough season--no strings attached. At the time, we weren't even looking for a home yet. But a few months later, when we were ready, we reached out to Glenn, and he paired us with David. From there, everything just fell into place. We're now in our dream starter home in our dream neighborhood--and we couldn't have done it without David and Glenn. Whether it's your first home or your fifth, we'll never stop recommending this team. They were such a blessing to us!
