Simultaneously, they demanded I return for a second appointment due to my (non-existent) tardiness, as there was now no time to clean my teeth. They provided COVID safe care, check in from your car and were friendly and informative the entire process. There equipment seemed up to date and their new facility is beautiful. I went in for X-rays and routine cleaning. They had me fill out my information online prior to my appointment and were prepped and ready for me. As a new patient here it was extremely smooth and easy. The dental hygienist was friendly and very good at what she did. Dr. Vogal was extremely friendly. I do think when I read other posts that you do need to understand what they tell you are estimated costs but the insurance companies might push back on what's covered and that's out of their hands. Some research like making sure they are in network or out should be done by the customer and it's freely available on most insurance company websites.

The experience from the first anxiety ridden visit to many office visits later has been nothing but delightful. I actually said a delightful dentist visit. Who am I? Dr. Bateman and team are compassionate, empathetic, and intuitive. They are a team that is focused on what is best for you - physically, mentally, and financially, if I ever relocated, I would travel great distances to return to this office. Due to work, I have a second dentist in another city who doesn't always take the time to go over things as fully as he could. I didn't realize how good of a dentist I had in Grand Rapids until I experienced a staff of less friendly people there. It's funny how you learn how good you have it when you go elsewhere. My regular dentist I couldn't get in so they made a appointment with Dr. Winn. After I had Dr. Winn for a couple of times I didn't want to see the other dentist I usually went to. Then I called the office and they said Dr. Winn wasn't there anymore and I was upset. They wouldn't tell me where he went. So I was able to find him on my own and was so happy. He was so different than my other dentist I had before. He was very kind and gentle and very concerned if he caused me any pain. Also the dental assistant that worked with the other dentist were rude and I actually dread to have to go in to have my teeth cleaned. She would be real rough and none caring. Dr. Winn's assistants were just like him very concerned that I was comfortable and not causing me any pain. Also Robin I seen someone said she was rude. I have never seen her ever be rude. She is so nice and always very helpful. Dr. Winn moved to Cascade and my health isn't too good so I tried another dentist closer but I had to go back to Winn even though he is quite far from me. My daughter also loves Dr. Winn and now she brings her husband to see Winn and he likes him a lot too. So if you want a super kind and caring dentist go to Dr. Winn.

We were told at previous appointments that he was now an established patient at this office, and that we could come back to this office for further care, but that's apparently not the case anymore; leaving my child with no dentist or care. This office knew my child would need braces in the very near future, and that was why we went with this location, and now they're leaving him out with no care; even after becoming an established patient.
