During the summer, they advertise outdoor 'mining' for the kids - they feature a huge sluice and various sized bags for sale for panning! I have not personally experienced this because they close during Labor Day and I always go the weekend after. The store, located on the second floor the building which also houses Deep Creek Donuts & FunTime Watersports, is a relatively small shop. I am not sure if they are handicap accessible but I do not believe they are. It is also very quiet inside which was a little awkward shopping with a companion and trying to have light conversation while shopping; they might benefit from playing some soft music to make it more inviting. The handmade pottery is beautiful and priced very reasonable - there are small certified cards inside that tell you when/where/who made your art- a very nice touch. They also have a nice selection of geodes, agates, healing stones, and other decorative stones which are very trendy right now. Their clothing selection features mostly T-shirts and similar garments screen-printed with Native-inspired images. They also have jewelry cases along the wall that extend 2 complete walls of the shop; complete with lots of silver and beaded items that are just beautiful. This is a really cool shop loaded with neat goodies, and it's unlike any shop I've ever seen as it focuses on Native offerings which are beautiful and well-made. I have purchased several real geode/stone magnets, large geode bookends, pottery, and some home decor items- I always find something to take home with me! She handled my 6'3" and 240 lbs with ease and listened to my every command. The process for mounting the horses and the extreme disorganization at the end of the ride were much less enjoyable. After being placed on your horse, you are left while others are mounting theirs for the ride. We waited at least 10 minutes on anxious horses that weren't happy standing around. They walked us into tree branches a few times. When we returned from the ride, the lack of staff to assist was even more apparent. Two staff members to assist 12-14 riders and horses is not sufficient. My girlfriend's horse led her through 3 prickly trees. My horse went to the watering trough and was almost bitten by another horse. This caused my horse rear back, sprint a few steps forward and start to buck. I haven't been on a horse in over 30 years, so I feel very fortunate that I was able to get her to calm down and not toss me. These issues could all be alleviated by adding 2 additional staff members. $45 for an hour trail ride seems like a fair price, but at that price you should also have enough staff on hand to handle paying customers and ensuring a pleasant and safe experience.

Most merchandise was clothing such as jerseys and t-shirts, but I also saw stickers, magnets, keychains, flags, bobbleheads, etcetera. Prices were low to high. I've been here hundreds of times over the years, but I stopped in recently to grab a snack, use the bathroom, and get some gas for a little adventure up to Spruce Knob. FYI: This is one of the only places in the area to get gas that is usually open when you need it. Thank you because I forget to get gas in Elkins and everyone else was closed. Yikes! Every time I am here I enjoy eating their food whether from the store or the restaurant up stairs, I love looking around at all the cool stuff they have for sale, I am always buying this or that, and I truly enjoy sparking up a convo with one of the owners or employees. This place has and always will be a gem in the area :D
