I come here yearly for my mammogram...but it really frustrates me that they want the level of medical info that I give my doctor.  There is not a single reason they need to know my medical history YEAR AFTER YEAR.  My doctor knows that and that is what is important.  I am in my mid 50's and trust me when I say...the fact that I have had kids DOES NOT CHANGE, NOR DO THE DATES OR CIRCUMSTANCES.  What I complete to see my doctor for a visit is shorter than the questions that Touchstone "requires".  I will have to get with my doctor and see if there is another option, because I really find it ridiculous. I think the people in the office are very nice and it is not their rules and they do a decent job, but the fact that they need all this info just seems extremely invasive. read more

Needed X Rays on my Hand from a Skiinig accident. They made an appointment and got me in quickly, x ray process was fine. Problem is, it took 3 days before my doctor received them which seems ridiculous. When I called to check in after 2 days they asked the manager who said "it hasn't even been 48 hours yet" because I technically was calling a couple hours before the literal 48 hour mark. I honestly don't understand what takes so long. I took my daughter to the Doc to get an X Ray, we went in, they did an exam, X rayed her, came back into the office 15 min later to review. I don't know why this was so hard to pass along. read more

The people are professional and respectful. The mammogram is uncomfortable, but not painful. They are efficient and friendly. Results are mailed within a few days and available on the patient portal. read more

My wife went in for an xray and the table was chest high with a stepstool to help you get up. There were no hand rails to keep one from falling. Once on the steepstool, she was still not high enough to sit on the table. The technician offered no help but did offered her hand when asked. When getting down the stepstool was not in reach of her feet until she slid down. The technician had to be asked for a hand. Very dangerous. read more

If zero stars were an option, I'd give that. I went back and forth with my insurance as Touchstone kept saying I'd owe hundreds of dollars at time of service but my insurance was saying it was fully covered. My insurance then spoke with Touchstone and Touchstone said they would re-verify my benefits. I called Touchstone today and no re-verification had happened. The quote remained the same and I was told they wouldn't reverify until I rescheduled my appointment. This place is a joke/scam. If you have imaging needs, avoid the headache and go somewhere else. read more

Ultrasound, Xray and ECHO My wife is an 80+ year old with health care insurance that has a network contract with Touchstone Imaging. Upon arWheatridge, co rival I paid a co-pay and was asked to sign a Good Faith Estimate stating that 1. the estimate is based upon information known at the time it was created and 2. that there would be no unknown costs. Then we got a bill for $186 over the part their contract with our insurance would cover. Therefore, they knew how much the insurance would pay and led us to believe our insurance company would be billed the balance. We presented our insurance card upon arrival, paid the requested co-pay and proceeded to have the medically prescribed services. This is a misrepresentation of their Good Faith Estimate and whether intentional or not, they took unfair advantage of us, and I cannot recommend this company. read more

Do not go to this provider. They refused to schedule appointment prior to having auth from insurance. They got auth and scheduled. They billed both insurances were paid by one and the balance remaining is supposedly what we had to wait on to be authorized??? What are you people doing over there? read more

I went to Touchstone Imaging to get an MRI and X-rays of my spine at some point in the last five years. I apparently owed them $61, so they sent it to a collections agency that never called me, never billed me, and then tried to put a derogatory claim on my credit reports. I would have happily paid the $61 at any point, but I never received that bill. I paid all my other bills from them. Anyhow, the service was nothing to write home about. I won't be back to any Touchstone Imaging facility anywhere again. read more

Why have a fax number if you don't receive anything I send to it? I tried three times; each time they "lost" the order. Spoke with a very friendly rep who gave me his email to send the order, only to find they block emails to all of their reps as well. Not his fault; it's a domain-wide email policy. Tried to get my MRI scheduled for 2 months. Gave up and now I have to drive all the way to Aurora to get it done somewhere else. read more

Was sent to collections for $74, fine. My bad, should have paid it. Paid that and thought I was good, but apparently they sent me a supplemental bill afterwards for $14 for the same X-ray. Then sent me to collections for the $14. So got two hits to my credit for the same x-ray. Will never go back. Experience for the x-ray was fine so 2 stars. read more

I had an MRI done on my hand here and the tech was so nice and so was the receptionist. The tech, Yessin, possibly was his name, works on the weekends, and the receptionist was very personable too. The place was clean, they were professional, and I would 100% recommend going to this facility. read more

It has taken me eight months - EIGHT - to get a bill corrected. It has finally been fixed, and the correction I've been insisting on has saved me $270, which is a fairly large amount. I cannot stress how many hours of my time at the crack of dawn or on lunch breaks I have spent on the phone, and rude emails from supervisors I have encountered while trying to fix this. At this point, I'm fairly sure they should owe me money. My husband requires frequent x-rays due to his medical condition, and you can bet we will never give these people our business again. read more

After 52 attempts (seriously, 3 days of calling) to get someone on the phone and set up an appointment to see if my spine is broken; my appointment gets cancelled 1.5 hours before it is supposed to be done. The excuse: no X-Ray tech. Please tell me how you run an Imaging Center with no X-ray tech or back-ups? I have never seen nor heard of something like this. This is purely poor management on Touchstone's part. The customer service has been steadily declining at this location since they moved from the Lutheran campus.. That's not even mentioning that when I did get a person on the line, the scheduling software was broken...for 2 days. From someone who retired from the medical field after 27 years, this location is a farce. At least at the Lakewood office they answer the phone. You've lost my business even though you are literally a 5 minute walk from my house. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I had a bone density schedule 8/18, It was cancelled at the last minute. When I asked why I was told Medicare did not want them to do any Dexa scans until November, sounded fishy to me since I worked in healthcare but I let them schedule an appointment for 11/1. That appt was cancelled because of staffing issues. The funny thing is a friend who is not on Medicare also had a 11/1 appointment. She called to change it to 2 days later and was given 2 times to choose from. While she was there an elderly woman came in my ambucab and was told her appt had been cancelled. I called Medicare and was told they were not certified for Medicare patients. They must not have meet all the qualifications but they are so miserable they are playing with peoples lives. Scheduling mammos and bone scans for Medicare patients knowing they might not be able to perform test. Breast caner and severe osteoporosis diagnosis can be delayed by this unethical behavior. read more

I am not happy with this place. They only do regular xrays on a walk in basis. The gentleman who checked me in seemed busy and annoyed. I waited over an hour and a half to be called. They did not mention that X-ray was busy and I'd be waiting, nor did they once communicate that they are getting people back as soon as they can. I get that this is a walk in service but the communication with people coming in was not ideal. I had to ask and the girl was nice, but coming from someone like me that works in healthcare, the communication to people coming in,should be told an estimate of how long someone will be waiting even if, it is a walk in service! I cant speak for the other staff in the back since the ultrasound technician was nice enough but the front desk receptionists are not the friendliest and the older lady is all kinds of unhappy. This is our 2nd time at this location but I wish to never bring my mother here again. We have been another location where the front people were so friendly. It doesn't take much there is very minimal contact. They don't have to be so rude. The lady who does mammo is absolutely awesome though!! read more

I suggest for mammograms and pelvic ultrasounds you find another location. When I went into the room for the mammogram on Oct. 18th she took the plastic tray off the machine from the previous customer, put it in a rack and put the one in the rack on the machine. I think she was not cleaning them between customers, simply exchanging them. My skin was clear and intact for the mammogram. Shortly after on the underside of both breast I developed a rash that traveled to my torso where my breast contacts it. I tried many different treatments and creams and have just now gotten it to clear up and this is mid Jan. I believe it was likely a fungal infection from the machine not being cleaned. The technician got a good picture on my left breast right away. But for the right one she took the picture at least 3 times. Since the mammogram my right breast, which used to be normal skin tone, has been constantly red. I do not know if she over radiated me or over squeezed me. On the third picture she cranked the plate down to squeeze even more. I am starting to get very concerned that the redness has not gone away after 3 months. This same day I also had a pelvic ultrasound. I have never had a negative reaction to gyn exams or a pelvic ultrasound. After this one I had tremendous itching for at least 3 weeks. I do not know what type of gel she used or if it was even fresh gel but I had a terrible allergic or infection reaction to it. Subsequent to this I had a pelvic exam by another provider and had no reaction to the gel they used. I suspect this location is cutting corners and not using proper product, using old infected product or maybe even reusing product. Avoid this place like the plague if you don't want to catch something from poor medical practices. read more

Called 2 weeks ago for an appointment for husband to get X-ray of hand to check for broken bone or arthritis. Was told that the machine was broken and that I would be called back when machine was fixed. Never heard back so I called and asked specifically if machine was fixed and was told yes. So I scheduled the appt for the next day. We get to the appt early like they ask you too. When we checked in we asked again and was told it was not broke. We waited 35 mins and asked again was told that the lady doing the X-rays was busy doing injections and it would be another 15 mins And that who ever made the appt should not habe made it the same day she was doing the injections. We waited again. 20 mins and over heard them talking about the machine being broke again. We went back to desk and was given the run around again so we left. The staff never offered an apology or to reschedule. When I called the office manager she also gave excuses and no apology untili said something. They should have called us to reschedule instead of wasting 2 hours of our lives with all the excuses very unprofessional. By the way still waiting for office manager to call to reschedule the appt been over 30 mins now. read more

I have been going to Touchstone Imaging in Wheat Ridge for the last 8 years. I received a reminder letter for a mammogram from Touchstone and made an appointment. Once again, I had a very pleasant experience on November 15th. Cada, the receptionist was very nice, took me to another room, gave me a heated robe and explained what to do. The other waiting room has soft music playing, dimmed lighting, comfortable chairs and books and magazines to read. Katie was my tech and she was absolutely awesome! Work for a doctors office and this place is not great. Used them a lot at the beginning of the year, but customer service has been declining. I constantly get phone calls about orders that "never made it" so I end up faxing them 2-3 times. Patients don't get called back to schedule, or get pushed out to really far out dates. It's a shame, really liked working with them. read more

This was their first day opening to the public and it was a great experience. The robes were nicely heated and the music soft and soothing. The best thing about this place was the women who worked there. Even under stressful circumstances these women were kind, comforting and nurturing. Great place to go for a screening! read more

The front office staff at the Lakewood office were pretty rude and unprofessional, slouching in their chairs, didn't look professional at all, didn't speak well to patients, didn't act professional either and the office itself was trashy. The actual girl that did my ultrasound was nice but I was expecting to get results right away (as I had at my OB/GYN office), when the ultrasound was done she informed me that the doctor would have to look it over and someone would call me back in a few days with results?! Not at all what I was expecting. I was pretty disappointed with this office and will not be recommending it to anyone or returning. read more

I have never experienced a setting that is so comfortable and welcoming as this location.
